CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN #3
His fingers sped up, ruthlessly thrusting and rubbing until I was panting and writhing against him. I looked up. He stared into my eyes, the darkness and intensity of his making me even wetter for him.
“Let go,” he commanded. “Come for me now.”
That’s all it took. I gripped his muscular shoulders and arms as I came, shaking so hard he had to let go of my neck and hold me up.
He didn’t relent, thrusting until I had completely ridden out the waves of my climax.
Then he dropped to his knees in front of me, jerking my skirt above my hips roughly, and ripping my thong of me with a quick snap.
“Oh my God,” I cried out as he buried his face between my legs and began devouring me, licking and sucking, flicking and rubbing until I came again, practically sobbing from the pleasure.
When he was sure I was done, he nipped the insides of my thighs with his teeth before standing up and wiping his mouth.
“Scott,” I begged.
“What do you need, baby?” He unzipped my dress and pushed it down.
I heard his sharp inhale as he realized I wasn’t wearing a bra.
“Fuck,” he whispered, cupping one of my breasts and pinching the nipple just hard enough to make me gasp.
He continued doing that while he dropped his head to my other breast. He sucked my nipple into his mouth, taking long pulls on it until I was vibrating with pleasure.
I couldn’t take it much longer. I needed him inside me desperately. I was about to wrap both legs around his waist when he pulled me to the sofa instead. He pushed me over the back of it and grasped my hips hard. Then he thrust into me in one long, harsh movement forcing me to take all of him.
I screamed out his name as my body tried to adjust to his size.
He didn’t wait, though. He just thrust again and again, one hand fisting my hair while the other gripped my hip so hard I was sure to have bruises.
He held me there, still, while he pounded into me.
I squirmed to try to adjust to him better, but he jerked my hair back making my back bow and opening myself up to take him even deeper.
I hissed at the intrusion, balancing between pleasure and pain.
“Take me,” he commanded as he bit my ear lobe. “Take it all.”
I didn’t answer. Instead, I began thrusting myself back on him, taking him hard and deep.
“Fuck,” he hissed. “Fuck!” He moved his hand around to my clit and pinched it a few times in quick succession, leaving me on the edge of a massive climax.
“Scott,” I begged, panting and sobbing.
He rolled it between his fingers and his thumb, and I was lost to ecstasy.
The combination of his fingers on me and his thick cock stretching me just beyond what I could comfortably take made it last forever.
I registered the heat flowing inside me as he followed me over the edge, going taut and still before thrusting wildly into me a few more times.
“You’re mine, Blair. Always mine,” he said as he picked me up and tossed me onto the sofa. He laid beside me, both of us gasping until we’d caught our breath.
My eyelids were heavy, and I rested my head on his warm, hard chest. I liked the sound of his heart beating. He ran his hand through my hair in a rhythmic way, and it wasn’t long before we were starting back up again.
Even though Scott and I had been married for years and had five children, we could still go all night.
And we did.
It wasn’t until the next morning that I thought to ask, “You wore a condom, right?” My voice was sleepy and my body ached all over in the best possible way. I’d lost track of how many times we’d had sex in the night.
“Not even once,” he said, running his nose along my neck before dropping to kiss the tender spot below my ear. “Don’t worry; it’ll be alright.”
I had to hold back a laugh. I’d heard that before.
Later, I told him I needed some time apart. Not a real separation; just… a vacation from him. “I need to think about the things you said,” I admitted. “I understand what you told me about why you did it. But that doesn’t take the hurt away.”
“I thought after last night…”
I shook my head, cutting off his thoughts. “Sex doesn’t take away the pain, either. You have to know that.”
He cupped my chin, trying to pull me in. But I stepped away from him. “We’ve always been good at sex, Scott. That’s never been our problem. But I’m tired of feeling… unimportant.”
“You’re the most important person in my life. How can you say that I don’t think you’re important?”
“Because I usually see you for a few hours a day. During those hours, you don’t seem invested in dinner conversation, or how the kids’ days were. You don’t help with their bedtime routines. You don’t want to watch a show with me or have a glass of wine and talk about our days.”
He had stopped trying to interrupt me. It was clear he saw where I was going with this, and he couldn’t deny what I was about to say.
“We spend an hour or so… fucking. That’s all I know to call it these days. Then we go to sleep. In the morning, you walk out the door with a wave.” I could feel the tears building. “So, you tell me. What’s the most important part of me? What couldn’t you live without?”
He stood there looking helpless for a minute. “I love you. I couldn’t live without any part of our relationship.”
“You care about this,” I made an air circle around my face. “And these,” my hand hovered over my breasts, waist, and thighs. “But your favorites? That would be these.” I pointed to my mouth, hovered a hand over my pussy, and did a backwards air circle over my ass.
He flushed and looked away.
“You don’t care much about anything else. And you and I both know it.”
After that, I went on a beach vacation with Gam.
Since it was December, we wanted to go as far south as we could.
We rented a cottage in the Keys for a month, celebrated Christmas there, and it was exactly what I needed.
The kids were thrilled, running around like feral cats most of the time.
The timing with their school holidays was perfect.
They’d only miss about a week and a half of school, and the school assured me they could make up their work. It was perfect… it was heaven.
And the only time I missed Scott? It was before falling asleep, when I was used to us using each other physically before falling into a deep sleep.
I was guilty of the same thing he was; the only thing about him I really missed was the sex.
But as I sat on the beach in the evening, watching the kids run back and forth chasing the seagulls in the fading light, I decided to forgive his harsh words. I’d make him promise not to talk about me like that ever again. And I’d stay with him.
Would I forget those awful things he’d said about me? No. I knew they’d come back in my mind when I could handle it the least. The comments had taken my self-esteem, already not the greatest, down a few more notches.
Maybe our relationship was only good in one area. But I’d known lots of couples who weren’t good in anything they did together.
As the colors streaked the sky, and I dug my bare feet in the cooling sand, I decided that my marriage might not be anywhere close to the fairy tale I’d hoped for.
But for now, it was enough.
And I needed to tell him what I already knew—that the all-night sex we’d enjoyed after the Reyes’ party had led to a new life. I was pregnant yet again.
