'Hehe' 'Hehe' 'Hehe'.
Hehe my ass.
Are you a fucking hyena?
I hope your fucking teeth falls from your gums.
Better yet, I hope you swallow all of them in the rice and they get stuck at your throat.
Stuck that not even liquid can wash it down.
Stuck that they have to slit your throat to remove them.
When the fuck is this business going to start being discussed?
All that's been discussed is just this gremlin and Athena yapping away, yap yap yap. The alpha, Mateo, and the beta, Judas, spoke every now and then. The girl, Miles, was related to Judas.
Her mouth is going miles for real.
My eyes caught the alpha's who motioned to his glass and I walked towards the table and filled his glass with red wine.
He muttered a small thanks and Athena motioned for hers to be filled.
I filled hers and I felt her hand on my leg underneath the table and she rubbed her thumb in circles on my leg as she kept talking.
"My last time in my full form was... years ago."
"Why do you hardly change anyways? I've seen other vampires in their full form and it's not that bad." Miles said as she cut the fried chicken.
I hope it chokes you.
"When I change, I'm not in control of my body so I'm not aware of what happens." I tried moving from where I stood, seeing as I was done refilling her glass. Athena tightened her grip on my leg and I frowned.
I felt Mateo's eyes on me and I looked at Athena.
"So let's say, you do change in your full form, what would it take for you to get control back of your body?"
Athena shrugged and her grip loosened on my foot. I used this as an opportunity to move away from my position and rolled my eyes.
Man, hurry up with the casual conversation. I'm TIRED.
After a few more minutes of constant chatting, Miles seemed like her mouth was getting tired.
They were all finished eating so I cleared the table and brought the dishes back to the kitchen.
The workers got to work and started to wash them immediately and I went back to the dining room with a jug of cold water and filled their glasses.
I brought it back and stretched my back.
I groaned and sat down on the stool for a bit.
I always watched those movies where the high ranking people, queens and kings, had people serving them whilst they had guests over and they stood the entire time. I didn't know this was what they went through. I mean they are trained for this and I'm not so I guess that's that.
I went back to the dining room and Athena looked at me. She nodded at me, probably telling me that I was dismissed. I gave her a stink eye and went back to her room.
I better start doing my duties again before she decides to switch up and talk about how I sit down not doing anything all day and blah blah blah.
Humiliation is one thing I'm not a fan of.
That and confrontation.
I changed out of the dress and into my previous clothes. I looked at my hair and then at the room. Okay, the room wasn't so bad so maybe I could do my hair before I start to clean.
If I find a blow-dryer then we're doing my hair.
I went to her bathroom on a mission and guess what? I found a blow-dryer, a yellowbird at that. I grinned and took up the blow-dryer and went to her vanity. I undid my hair and started whatever my plans were.

"Can we go to the fields?" I pleaded and London looked at me for a brief second. "You're not doing anything."
She placed the flour and rice back in the cupboard and I sighed.
"You're so mean."
"Now, girl, we both know if Athena wasn't busy you wouldn't be here right now."
"Actually," I placed my hands on my hips. "that's a lie and Athena isn't busy. I just decided to not hang with her."
London raised her eyebrows.
"And why not?"
I shrugged.
"What'd she do? Or what'd you do?" London folded her arms, seemingly waiting for a response.
I sighed and told her about Miles and when I was done, she was laughing at me. I looked away from her and folded my arms.
"Honey, you're just jealous. I'm sure there's nothing going on. Plus, you said when Miles told her that she missed her, she ignored it and commented on something else."
"That could've been just because I was there." I threw my hands up. "Who knows what goes on behind my back?"
London was about to say something but didn't.
"Exactly."
"I love what you did with your hair." She pointed out randomly and I rolled my eyes.
"Thank you."
She was referring to the stitch braids that I did.
"Do mine like that. It's pretty." London reached her hand up to trail through one of the parts and I smacked her hand away. "I like your edges, too. They're so..." She hummed and I laughed.
"Thank you, London." If I wasn't confident in the look before, I definitely was now. "So, the field?"
"Fine."
I clapped excitedly and we headed towards the field.
"Why do you want to go out to the fields anyways? Solana isn't here and according to you, Athena is entertaining another woman and you're not doing anything about it."
"What should I do about it? She's a werewolf and I'm a human. Who do you think she'll pick even if anything goes down? Clearly, the werewolf. They're a species that can bring more power to a higher rank than a human ever could."
"I knew you were spewing garbage and I still listened." London sighed dramatically. "She's going to pick her mate, her destin—"
"Please stop reading books." I groaned. "But tell me more. I'm interested."
London laughed and she told us that we're going to find some where to sit down and then we talk.
"You know what, I think we should go to library instead. That way, my words can be fresh from the source." London chirped and I stopped walking and turned to look at her.
"After we just walked all that way across the field and you're just saying that now— whatever. Just go."
The walk across the field wasn't a short one considering how wide the field was.
London and I headed towards the library that I've only been to once since I've been here and she walked towards one of the many chairs around tables in the quiet space.
Where she sat, she pulled a book from the bookshelf and I looked at the cover.
Who I'm assuming is the moon goddess stood with her hands raised high in the air, seemingly holding a full moon in her hands.
She wore a long white dress that covered her entire body as if shielding away the beauty underneath.
Surrounding her were supernatural creatures: a wolf coming from behind her left foot, a vampire looking up at her, a witch creating a ball of energy and a faerie flying in the far back.
The title read, The creation of the goddess.
London opened the book and she skipped a few pages, like forty or so, before she got to a leaf that was in the book. She grinned and removed it
"Okay, right here it says what a mate is and I'm sure you know what that is so I won't waste any time going over known knowledge." Her eyes scanned over the page and she hummed. "This is it, where it says the relationship between a pair and it further discusses the mate bond and blah blah."
"Go on."
"We're starting at the mate bond part."
"Read already." I sighed.
London chuckled. "A mate bond develops between a pair after a period of time has been spent together.
For every supernatural, it develops differently, some quickly, some not so quickly and some, almost instantly.
" London stopped for a minute as she squinted her eyes.
"The bond cannot be broken, no matter how many spells are casted.
The only certain way for it to be broken is by death.
When one half dies, the other mate feels a heart wrenching pain, almost as if their heart is being ripped from it's living body, slowly and long. "
She continued to read. I found out some pretty useful information – like the fact that for werewolves, if the mate bond has been developed and one half chooses to reject the bond then the other half can feel if the bond is being cheated on, meaning if the other half sexes someone else – and some not so useful.
London kept reading until it got to a part where she speaks about human mates.
I listened keenly on what she was saying. This bit sounded interesting to say the least.
"It isn't rare. At least three thousand humans have been paired with—" blah blah blah.
I tuned her out for a bit. "Human mates do not have the same qualities when it comes to mating.
For the marking process, the human teeth cannot pierce through the skin of the supernatural to leave a permanent mark.
There are alternative ways to have the human give the mark.
One, a witch's spell. Two, turn the human – if mated to a vampire. "
"Is your mouth not tired?"
London glanced at me.
"Actually, yes. You know, I thought there was some good information in here.
You know those moments when you see something that you think is really cute but to someone else it isn't? I'm having one of those moments right now.
" She groaned and closed the book. I laughed at the expression on her face and shook my head.
"It's okay though. We can head back now. I think it's about time we stop cheating your work time. I think June only allows it because she thinks I'm in something with the queen."
London chuckled and put the book back, crushing the leaf and putting it into her pocket.
"You know, you'd make a really good vampire."
"Now, let's not get ahead of ourselves." I laughed. "Plus I don't think fangs would suit me." I scrunched my face at the thought.
London hummed and we left the library as we headed to the kitchen. Luckily, the walk wasn't too far.
"The—"
We heard giggling and London and I glanced at each other. We decided to peep at who could be giggling so loudly in the hallways knowing that dating amongst the workers weren't allowed.
"So we're going to pretend like we're walking pass and peep." London said in a hushed voice and I nodded in agreement.
Our eyes met the voices and I folded my lips as we walked past them.
"Judas said 'nooo!' as the barn crashed down on him. Man, he doesn't listen." Miles said with a huge smile on her face.
Athena's eyes met mine and I glanced away before she could say anything – if she was going to – and London and I kept walking. Luckily, this was the way to the kitchen so we didn't have to turn back and look like idiots.
"Is that Miles?" London asked as soon as we were a good distance away.
"Yes." I spat.
She was still hung up around the... dog!
Ugh!
"The look on your face says 'I want to murder that bitch right now'."
"That's because I want to!" I threw my hands in the air.
"Ever since the lunch, I bet she's been around her nonstop giggling in her fucking ears like she's some burnt out hyena!
And her voice is annoying too." I groaned.
"This is exactly how I hear her." I imitated a high pitched voice and groaned.
"She's just so," I groaned again and did an exploding hand movements.
"And Athena is there entertaining her, too!
Smiling up in her face and they're both just so! "
London laughed and I glared at her.
"Sorry but the way you're sa–"
"Mate."
