Chapter 4
We're now on our way to our homes. Today's the day we part from each other.
It left a scar on me but who cares.
We all went to our own businesses and waited for our arrival.

After a few hours of a really bumpy ride, we reached our destination.
We parted our ways and went with our own. Derek is with me because coincidentally, he lives close to my house.
I sighed.
I punched him playfully on his shoulder and glared at him. He knows exactly what I am thinking.
Oh well, worth a try.
Derek continued walking but his eyebrows were knotted. He turned his head to me and gone was his playful face. He is serious and was paying more attention than before.
Derek didn't respond right away. He just nodded and we continued walking.
For a few minutes within those walk, Derek has not said one word to me and is in his own world. He is thinking and is thinking deep. What's he thinking about now.
I pinched his arm, but didn't work.
I waved my hand in front of his damn face but didn't work too.
Earth to Derek??? Hello????
Ugh, you give me no choice then.
My previous methods didn't work so, I punched Derek in his right arm, not hard though.
I rolled my eyes.
Brushing it off, we continued walking to our own houses. Derek said that he'll get me home then he'll go home.
When we reached my house, I did not expect this.
Blue and red lights.
We continued walking until we reached the porch. An officer came out of the house and bumped into us.
The officer looked at the both of us.
His words pierced through my heart like a damn knife. I think I went deaf. Everything is quiet. All that I can hear is the word missing and parents.
They went missing? When? How? What? What happened? And they're telling me this just now? When it happened two days ago? What the hell?
A million thoughts run through me of what has happened to my parents or what will happen to them.
I'm so nervous, mad, sad and I am so shocked. All my negative emotions, I feel them trigger.
I was anxious.
I sighed, "I'm sorry, it's just that I..." I murmured off. I don't even know what to say, I'm embarrassed.
The officer wrote something on the paper he's holding and then nodded.
I gulped. What happened, Mom and Dad?
