The game begins
The next morning, I woke up to kaashi's message flooding my phone.
I groaned, rubbing my eyes. The fresher's party... Right.
I wasn't exactly the kind of girl who went to clubs or parties, but something about this one made me feel... Curious. Maybe it was because it was my first official college event. Or maybe it was because purv was going to be there.
Shaking of the thought, I got out of bed, freshened up, and called kaashi.
"You're finally awake!" She exclaimed. "Come pick me up. We need to find the perfect dress for you."
"Kaashi, it's just a party..."
"Just a party?" She gasped dramatically. "Girl, this is the fresher's party at Empire club! You need to look your best. Who knows, maybe someone special will notice you."
I rolled my eyes but smiled. "Fine. Be ready in ten."

The mall was crowded, but kaashi moved through the stores like a professional stylist on a mission. After rejecting atleast ten dresses, she finally help up a stunning black dress with a slit on one side.
"This. You're wearing this," she declared.
I hesitated. "Isn't it... Too much?"
She shook her head. "Nope. It's perfect. You need to step out of your comfort zone, divya."
After some more convincing, I finally agreed. Once we were done, we grabbed coffee and sat down at a cafe.
"Do you think purv will be there?" Kaashi asked casually, stirring her coffee.
I tried to sound uninterested. "I mean... His bestfriend announced it, so probably."
She smirked. "You thought about him, didn't you?"
I looked away. "No."
"Liar."
I sighed, sipping my coffee. "It's not like that, kaashi. I just... Don't understand him. He has this cold, untouchable vibe, but at the same time, there's something about him that makes people drawn to him. It's confusing."
Kaashi leaned in. "That's because he's mysterious. And girls love mystery."
I shook my head, laughing. "You're unbelievable."
---------------------------------------------------
The club was packed with students, the music loud and the atmosphere wild. As we entered, I felt slightly nervous. The dress kaashi picked hugged my figure perfectly, and I had even let her do my makeup. I wasn't used to this level of attention, but tonight felt different.
Kaashi pulled me toward the bar.
"Let's get drinks!"
I wasn't a big fan of alcohol, so I just ordered a mocktail while kaashi went for something stronger. As we chatted, I felt the air shift, and suddenly, the entire vibe of the club seemed to change.
I turned my head-and there was he.
Purv.
He walked in with his usual confidence, dressed in all black outfit that made him look even more intimidating. Rudra and a few other guys followed him, but my eyes were fixed on him alone.
Girls turned to look, whispering among themselves. Charvi wasn't far behind, clinging onto his arm as usual.
"Looks like the star of the show has arrived," kaashi whispered beside me.
I forced myself to look away, focusing on my drink. But fate had other plans.
Because moments later, my eyes met his.
For the first time, Purv Rathore looked at me. Directly.
His gaze was unreadable, intense. It lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough to make my heart race.
And then, as if nothing had happened, he turned away.
I let out a breath I didn't realize i was holding.
"Did you see that?" Kaashi nudged me. "He looked at you."
I shook my head, brushing it off. "It's nothing."
But deep down, I knew it wasn't.
Something had started between us.
Somthing I wasn't ready for.
