Chapter 8
It was a joyful morning in the Malhotra mansion as it was a Sunday and all the troublemakers were at home, advait made his special breakfast for his kids and they devoured the food in no time.
Now they were sitting in the living room enjoying their special moments with each other.
Advait was telling them their childhood stories and they were listening to it with a sparkling glint in their eyes.
The sound of their melodious laughing filled the mansion, the house seems lived with their friendly banter and teasing.
Aditya looked at the watch and stood up as it was his time to go to the playground he usually goes there to play cricket with his friends and some seniors boys.
"Bhaiya I am going to the playground." He said getting up but changed his statement after receiving a hard glare from his bhaiya "May I go to the playground?" He asked for permission.
Advait fixed him with a glare "No, you may not."
Aditya looked at him with pleading eyes "bhaiya please na let me go, I'll come back soon promise."
"Can't you understand at once? You are not going anywhere." Advait sternly stated.
Aditya looked at abhishek to help him to convince advait but abhishek shrugged off in return.
"Please." Aditya whispered for the last time to try his luck.
"Kaha se sikh rahe ho itne zid karna adi?" Advait scolded.
"You won't go to the playground from now on understood?" He sternly ordered.
Aditya looked at him in shock it was his daily routine and the best part of the day was that he had so much fun in the playground.
"But why bhaiya?" Aditya whined.
"Kyuki waha se kuch acha nahi sikh rahe ho tum waha jate ho senior boys ke sath khelte ho, unhi se sikh rahe ho na cursing." Advait said.
"I told you I won't curse from now on please na let me go na." Aditya pleaded.
"No adi mai tujhe buri sangat me nahi rehne de sakta." Advait said gently this time.
Arush being the chatterbox didn't keep his mouth shut for long he started giggling and said.
"bhaiya adi bhai buri sangat me nahi hai" aditya looked at him with a grateful smile but his smile changed into a glare after his next line.
"wo khud buri sangat hai." Arush completed making abhishek chuckled loudly.
"Aru muh chalate chalate thak gye honge na beta jao corner me jake khade ho jao aur apne muh ko thoda aram do" Advait declared mocking him.
Arush pouted not moving up from his place but one glare from advait made him stand up and he silently went to the corner.
He shifted his attention back to Aditya again who was sulking badly.
Advait sighed and try with a different approach "adi bacha sun..." He started gently but aditya interrupted him "mujhe nahi baat karni aapse." He muttered and ran to his room.
Advait sighed heavily looking at his retreating figure "it's ok bhaiya thodi der me khud hi normal ho jayega." Abhishek said looking at advait's tense face.
Advait thought for a few minutes and went behind aditya to persuade him.
He entered his room, there was darkness in the room and aditya was laying on the bed covering himself with the blanket from head to toe.
Advait went near him and sat by his side, "adi bhaiya ke paas aa." He caressed his hair but aditya turned his face to the other side.
Advait sighed and gently made him sit on his lap aditya struggled to get out of his hold but advait grip was firm so he gave up and stopped squirming.
"Aise udaas nahi hote meri jaan tu playground me cricket khelta h na chalo aaj hum log tere sath cricket khelte hain okay" Advait said to make up for him but got no response.
"Adi baat to kar beta." Advait said tiredly.
"Nahi khelna mujhe jaiye aap yaha se." Aditya said while trying to get up from his lap.
"Nahi jaunga jab tak tu mujhse baat nahi karega." Advait said.
"Jab tak aap mujhe playground nahi jane dete tab tak mai aap se baat nahi karunga." Aditya said stubbornly.
Advait looked at him for a few seconds and sighed heavily "Okay you can go to the playground."
"Sachhi?" Aditya eyes twinkled.
"Muchi" Advait replied with a small smile.
"But after two days." Advait added.
Aditya's face fell again and he whined "why after two days and not today bhaiya?"
"Think of it as your punishment for cursing." Advait replied.
Aditya sulked "mai nahi baat karra aap se." He pouted.
"Okay mat baat kar shaam ko rey aane wala tha vani ko lekar but ab mai usko mana kar deta hu adi to gussa hai to vani ke sath kon khelega wo bechari bore ho jayegi...wait let me call him." Advait said knowingly to tease him.
"Nahi nahi mai gussa nahi hu bilkul gussa nahi hu." Aditya immediately replied hugging him.
Advait laughed looking at his antics and hugged him warmly "rey bhai ko mana mat karna aap." Aditya said looking up from his embrace.
"Okay beta." Advait kissed his forehead lovingly.
Then they went outside in the garden to play cricket, they played with lots of fun, teasing and playful cheating.
Reyansh and vanya come at malhotra mansion. They were chattering with each other but suddenly reyansh came with the topic of the tutor and abhishek cringed at the word.
"Baat ki tune us ladki se?" Reyansh asked.
"Mere mind se slip ho gaya yaar acha hua tune yaad dilaya wait abhi call karta hu."
Reyansh nodded and advait went to make the call.
"Bhai, bhaiya ko manao na mujhe tutor ki need nahi hai" Abhishek poked reyansh's arm.
"Mai kaise manau buddy idea to mera hi tha" Reyansh replied with a sheepish smile.
Abhishek gasped and made distance with him"aapne mere sath dhokha kiya aap to meri team me the na." He was accused dramatically.
"Mai abhi bhi teri hi team me hu buddy, par jo tere liye sahi hai usme compromise nahi kar sakta." Reyansh replied gently.
Abhishek huffed at his response and looked away.
"Acha sorry baba, par trust me tujhe teacher bhot pasand ayengi aur agar naa bhi aaye to mujhe bata dena mai turant advait ko mana lunga promise." Reyansh said trying to cheer up his mood.
Abhishek looked at him with the corner of his eye and nodded after thinking for a moment.
"Good, now give me a big smile." Reyansh said making abhishek smile widely.
"Yes ye huyi na mere buddy wali baat, hi-five." Reyansh said throwing high five at abhishek.
They clapped their hands together and Reyanh ruffled his hair taking him in a side hug.
"Kis baat ki pappiya jhappiya chal rahi hai?" Arush said coming from the front.
"Aapke matlab ki baat nahi hai beta ji." Reyansh said poking his cheeks.
Arush pouted and glared at him angrily making Reyansh and abhishek chuckled loudly.
"Has rahe ho aap log mujh par?" Arush asked them while glaring cutely at them.
They continue laughing looking at his cute angry pout.
Arush stepped forward and jumped on the sofa, standing up of it "hasna band karo aap dono warna mai bhaiya se complain karunga aap dono ki."
Reyansh and abhishek stiffled their laugh and raised their hands in surrender.
"better" Arush muttered while getting down from the sofa.
A young girl around the age of twenty two was looking at the photo frame, sitting on the bed.
Her eyes were glistening with unshed tears but there was not any expression on her face.
Suddenly her phone rang, her thoughts of chains broke and she looked at the caller I'd, her eyebrows scrunched in confusion looking at the unknown number.
She picked up the call after thinking and waiting for the other side person to say something first.
"Hello" There came advait's usual stoic voice from the other side.
She felt giddy in her stomach listening to the voice "hello" She hesitantly replied.
"Is this miss shreya?" Advait asked.
"Umm yes, but who are you?" She asked.
"Advait Malhotra this side actua...." Advait just said this when he got interrupted by her screaming.
"Whhhhaatttt?" She screamed on the high pitch.
"hey what happened? Are you okay?" Advait panicked listening to her screaming.
"Aap advait malhotra bol rahe hain?" She asked.
"I think i told you exactly just now." He replied awkwardly.
"Matlab sachhi wale advait malhotra... The business tycoon advait malhotra?" She asked exaggerated.
"I think so." Advait replied rolling his eyes.
"Haaaaye!!" She said keeping her hand on her heart.
"Aap sunegi meri?" Advait asked tiredly.
"Oh ha ha bataiye aapne mujhe kese phone kiya aur apko mera number kaha se mila agar aap ko kuch bhi ka..." She started blabbering.
"Can you please just let me talk?" He asked irritatingly.
"Oh haan sorry sorry boliye" She said after clicking her tongue between teeth.
"Wo actually I got your number from reyansh khurana." He informed her.
"Oh reyansh bhai, ya I know him but why did you ask him for my number... don't tell me you like me or something." She blabbered without thinking her voice was laced with excitement and amusement.
"What? What are you talking?" He raised his voice.
She palmed her forehead "sorry sorry mai kuch bhi bolti hu aap btaiye aap kya keh rahe the."
"Actually I wanted to appoint you as a tutor...but ab doubt hora hai." Advait said and mumbled the last part in himself.
"Tutor? You want me to tutor you... I am ready i'm ready....but haan don't think of me as friendly asi'm talking to you... i'm very strict as a teacher so you have to be disciplined." She again started blabbering.
"Can you please just keep quiet for a minute or two?" He said frustratingly, he was not patient at all and she was getting on his nerves.
"Okay" She muttered understanding his frustrating voice.
"I don't need any tutor for myself, I want a tutor for my younger brother understood?" He said stretching each word.
"Understood wo I thought you... sorry sorry okay I am ready, I'm ready to tutor your brother." She replied.
"But I have to reconsider my decision." He said.
"Ji?" She offended.
He stroked his forehead in frustration as he said out loud his inner thoughts.
"Ah nothing, firstly I want to check your qualifications and discuss things so can you come to my office for the meeting?"He asked after taking deep breaths.
"Aree mai aaj aa jati hu na kal tak kyu wait karna." She replied excitedly.
"Nooo... I mean no please come tomorrow." He shouted but composed his tone.
"Okay as you say." She replied pouting.
"Thanks." He replied and hung up the call.
"Welc... " She just said this when the line went dead.
She frowned but jumped on her bed lying on her back "haye mera khwaab pura hone wala hai kal mai finally aap se milungi." She said looking at his picture on her mobile wallpaper.
She was a huge fan of advait and has a crush on him for a very long time but she wasn't aware that the Reyansh and Advait were friends.
On the other side the advait took a few deep breaths to calm himself, "Isey khud tutor ki jarurat hai ye mere abhi ko kya padhayegi." He said shaking his head.
He returned to the living room and sat beside reyansh.
"Ho gayi baat?" Reyansh asked.
"Baat? Isey baat karna kehte h kesi ladki hai wo kuch bolne ka chance hi nahi deti khud hi radio ki tarah chalu ho gayi mujhe kuch bolne hi nahi diya." Advait replied irritation was etched on his face.
Reyansh laughed out loudly "Haan wo thoda jyada bolti hai par dil ki saaf hai."
Advait thought for a few minutes and asked "Rey, are you sure wo abhi ke liye achi tutor hai?"
"Fikar not yaar, wo bas thoda jyada bolti hai warna dil ki bohot achi hai." Reyansh replied.
Advait nodded still engrossed in his thoughts.
Abhishek came there holding a tray of snacks and kaka was behind him holding a tray of juices. They carefully settled down the trays.
"Congratulations abhi finally tere liye tutor mil gyi." Reyansh said to tease him.
Abhishek pouted and glared at him "kya hai bhai" He whined.
He looked at advait who was engrossed in his thoughts.
He looked at him pleadingly "bhaiya please tutor rehne do na mai khud pa..."
He just said this but advait snapped at him as he was already frustrated "maine kal bhi kaha tha na mujhe is topic par aur koi discussion nahi chahiye, ek baar me baat samajh me nahi aati hai tujhe?"
Abhishek's eyes got mist at the harshness of his bhaiya's voice meanwhile arush entered the living room and settled himself on advait's lap.
"Bhaiya?" He asked looking up at him.
"Hmm" Advait replied calming down his anger.
"Ghummi chalo na please." He said pouting.
Advait smiled and looked at him "kaha jana hai?" He lovingly asked while caressing his cheeks.
"Gaming zone." He replied squealing in happiness.
Advait chuckled "okay chalte hai thodi der me hm."
"Yeahhhh!" Arush jumped in excitement and ran while saying "mai adi bhai aur vani di ko bata kar aata hu."
Advait chuckled looking at him but Reyansh poked him elbow. He looked at Reyansh and he gestured to him to look in the front.
Advait followed his gaze and looked at the front finding Abhishek was standing there noticing the exchange between advait and arush with a mix of sadness and jealousy.
"Abhi, idhar aa." Advait said gently knowing his sensitive nature.
Abhishek shook his head and left for the garden sadly.
Advait looked at Reyansh and sighed heavily taking his head between hands "ye log kisi din mera sir blast kar denge."
He said tiredly.
Reyansh chuckled "laa mai head massage kar du you'll feel better." He noticed his tiredness.
"Leave it, tu in logo ko sambhal mai abhi ko dekh kar aata hu" Advait said getting up from the couch and left for the garden.
