Chapter 17
Abhishek entered the Arush's room, he was laying straight on his stomach burying his face in the pillow. Abhishek shook his head at him and stood by his side.
"Kya hua tujhe?" Abhishek asked but received no response.
"Aru..." He shook him slightly but again no response.
Abhishek forcefully made him turn on his back. Arush looked at him with pouty lips with a cute glare.
"Kya hai, Kyu pareshan kar rahe ho mujhe?" He glared at him.
"Jawab kyu nahi de raha tha meri baat ka?" Abhishek narrowed his eyes.
"Meri marzi." He replied, and again about to lay down but Abhishek held him still.
"Kya hai sone do mujhe." Arush said irritated.
"Ye sone ka time nahi hai." Abhishek said.
"Choro mera haath mujhe sona hai." Arush stubbornly said jerking away his hands.
"Arush kyu zidd kar raha hai faltu me, bhaiya busy hai islie nahi aaye na isme gussa hone wali kya baat hai." Abhishek said in a firm voice.
"Aap jao yaha se, mujhe nahi baat karni na aap se aur na bhaiya se." He replied with glistening eyes.
Abhishek noticed it and cupped his cheeks, "Kya ho gaya mere baby ko kyu ro raha hai?"
"Mujhe bhaiya ke paas jana hai." Arush mumbled looking down.
"Bhaiya aa jayenge raat tak rona band kar de." Abhishek replied.
"Nahi mujhe abhi bhaiya chahiye." Arush stubbornly said.
Abhishek looked at him tiredly, "Aap unko call karo." Arush ordered.
"Aru, bhaiya busy hai na baar baar phone kar ke disturb karna achi baat nahi hai." Abhishek made him understand.
Arush again made a crying face, "Acha chal agar tu zidd nahi karega na to hum log is Sunday gaming zone chalenge." Abhishek bribed him.
Arush eyes shone with excitement, "Pakka?"
"Promise." Abhishek replied pinching his little nose.
Arush giggled, "Chal ab dinner karte hain." Abhishek suggested.
"Mujhe bhook nahi hai." Arush sulked.
Abhishek threatened him while showing his finger, "Gaming zone."
Arush sulked but nodded, they came downstairs and started having their dinner.
Soon, they finished their dinner and settled down in the living room to watch a movie. Since Advait was not at home so all three decided to take advantage of it.
Kaka entered the living room with a pain reducing spray in his hand and walked towards Aditya.
"Kaka, iski jarurat nahi hai dekho na ab swelling almost chali gayi hai." Aditya said rolling up his lower.
"Abhi bhi thodi swelling hai beta usey ache se theek hone do." Kaka said and crouched down in front of him and held his leg to apply the spray.
But Aditya immediately interrupted him, "Mai khud laga lunga kaka aap pareshan mat ho." He said as he didn't like him doing this because he was older than him.
"Mai laga deta hoon na beta." Kaka offered.
"It's okay, kaka mai laga dunga." Abhishek emerged from the kitchen holding a juice can in his hand.
Kaka looked between brothers and sighed as he knew they wouldn't listen to him.
Abhishek gently applied the spray on his leg and suggested to him, "Adi, tu kal bhi rest kar le school mat jaa abhi bhi swelling hai."
"Koi swelling nahi hai bhai kal tak theek ho jayega mujhe school jana hai kal." Aditya replied defensively.
"Kyu aisa kya important hai?" Arush jumped in the conversation.
"Padhai." Aditya gave him a tight lipped smile, "Padhai important hai hm."
"Ek din chutti karne se teri koi degree cancel nahi hone wali." Abhishek taunted him.
"Mujhe nahi karni chutti." Aditya replied stubbornly.
Abhishek dropped the topic as he knew Advait wouldn't allow him to go to school with this swelling.
"Fine, let's watch a movie." Arush suggested.
"Aur bedtime?" Abhishek raised his brow.
"Offo bhai!" Arush slapped his own forehead, "bhaiya abhi ghar par nahi hai to kya bedtime."
"Acha ji?" Abhishek narrowed his eyes.
"Sahi to bol raha hai wo bhai ek din to mila hai late night tak jaagne ke liye. Don't miss it." Aditya supported him.
"Nahi, bhaiya ne bola hai time par sone ke liye aur aadhe ghante baad humara bedtime hai so no movie." Abhishek countered.
"Bachho, Abhi bilkul sahi bol raha hai Advait baba ne sabko time se sone ke liye bola hai so jao warna ghar aa kar daant padegi." Kaka said.
"Relax kaka, kabhi kabhi rules break bhi karne chahiye." Aditya grinned.
"Correct." Arush high-five with Aditya.
But Abhishek and Kaka were still looking at them with hoped eyes to drop their plan.
"Kaka, aap to mere pyare kaka ho na maan jao please bas ek din please please please." Arush request cutely and it was impossible to ignore his little puppy eyes.
Finally, after thinking for a few minutes kaka agreed saying, "Par baba ke aane se pehle so jana warna mai nahi bachaunga."
"Pakka Promise." Arush squealed and hugged him.
Abhishek was still looking at both of them with a look of disagreement, "Bhai, let's watch your favorite movie." Aditya said trying to bribed him.
But Abhishek was determined on his decision, he shook his head.
"Bhaiya ke aane se pehle band kar denge T.V. pakka, unhe pata bhi nahi chalega." Aditya forced him.
He looked at Aditya's hopeful gaze and Arush's pleading eyes and at last he gave up.
" 'kay, tum log khud bhi pitoge aur mujhe bhi pitwaoge." Abhishek muttered.
Aditya and Arush hugged him, "Don't worry, bro." Aditya said.
Abhishek rolled his eyes and they agreed upon a movie and started watching it.
They were enjoying it and slowly Arush drifted off to sleep. Following his lead Aditya was the second one to fall asleep on the couch in an uncomfortable position.
Abhishek was so engrossed in the movie and in munching on the chips that he didn't hear the sound of Advait's car.
It was past 1 at night. They forcefully made kaka sleep and now he was the only one awake in the house. He was focusely watching the movie, his eyes were glued to the screen and his hands were unknowingly moving from the chip's packet to his mouth.
Advait entered the living room with a tired look, he was exhausted from the over work. His eyes were slightly red and drooped due to tiredness.
But his jaw clenched when he saw the Abhishek watching TV at this hour of the night. He looked at his wrist to reconfirm the time and again looked at him.
He went to his side and hardly whacked his arm, Abhishek got startled at first as he was very focused and didn't notice Advait's arrival.
"Kya hai ye tv dekhne ka time hai?" Advait said firmly.
Abhishek stuttered, "Wo bha... bhaiya mai band karne hi wala tha."
"Band karne wala the? Kab? Kal?" Advait glared at him.
"Time dekha hai tune? School nahi jana kal?" He asked.
"Sorry." Abhishek said looking down, he turned behind and glared at the two not so innocent figure drifted off in their dreamland. He internally cursed at them.
"I'll deal with you tomorrow. Go to your room and sleep." Advait ordered.
Abhishek immediately nodded and ran to his room before he could get whacked by his brother.
Advait's gaze fell upon the two monkeys and he sighed looking at them. He kneeled down and gently folded up Aditya's pant to check his swelling. It was reduced slightly but not properly.
He caressed his forehead lovingly and kissed his forehead. Then he picked him up in his arms and took him to his room and tucked him in the blanket before placing a 'good night kiss' on his temple.
Then he again entered the living room and picked up Arush in his arms. He took him to his own room instead of his and gently laid down him on his bed.
He left the room to check on Abhishek and he was sleeping covering himself from head to toe with the duvet. Advait internally chuckled and gently removed the blanket from his face. He kissed his temple whispering, "Meri jaan." and exited the room.
He tiredly dragged his body to his room and settled down beside Arush snuggling to him not to bother to change his clothes as he was already tired. It took him only a one minute to dozed off.
