Chapter 16
The room was silent and only the sound of doctor's movement could be heard. Aditya was looking at the doctor with a boring face while Advait was standing on the side of the bed, getting impatient with the time. He just wanted to listen that there was not anything serious.
Reyansh shook his head looking at his friend's impatient behavior. Abhishek, Arush and Vanya were standing on the other side of the bed and were looking with the curiosity.
"Are you feeling pain, beta?" Doctor gently asked, his tone was composed,
Aditya was about to shake his head but immediately nodded after receiving a hard glare from Advait.
Finally doctor stood up and turned to Advait, "Don't worry Mr. Malhotra, there's nothing to be worry about. It's just normal swelling." Doctor informed in a professional tone.
Advait sighed in relief and Aditya rolled his eyes muttering, "Maine to bola hi tha."
"I would suggest him a one day bed rest and about pain, I'll give him a shot." Doctor added.
Aditya yelled, "Nooooo!"
Advait chided him, "Tone down, Adi."
"Kya Adi tu bhi injection se darta hai." Abhishek said with a hint of disappointment in his tone.
"Mai kisi se nahi darta bhai." Aditya said proudly.
"Really?" Advait raised his brow and asked with mock seriousness.
Aditya swiftly averted his gaze, gulping down his saliva.
Arush laughed at him, "Agar injection se nahi darta to chillaya kyu?" Abhishek asked.
Aditya, "Mai injection ke liye nahi chillaya bhai, mujhe bed rest nahi karna islie chillaya."
"Bas bohot ho gaya baate baad me karna pehle doctor ko unka kaam karne do." Reyansh said.
"Mujhe injection nahi lena." Aditya said with defiance.
"Kyu nahi lena abhi to tune bola tujhe injection se dar nahi lagta." Vanya asked.
"Dar nahi lagta but injection ki koi jarurat nahi hai mai theek hu." Aditya said stubbornly.
"That's for not you to decide." Advait firmly said.
"Bhaiyaaaa" Aditya sang.
"Hush no whining." Advait hushed him.
"Theek hai mai injection lagwa lunga but ek shart par aap mujhe bed rest karne ke liye force nahi karoge." Aditya said.
Advait glared to silence him, and gestured to doctor to continue his work.
Doctor prepared the shot, and told Aditya to lay down on his stomach.
"Nooo" Aditya again yelled.
"What now, Adi?" Reyansh asked.
Aditya's face turned red in embarrassment, he glanced up at Advait "Bhaiya, vanu is here."
Advait rolled his eyes and just said, "Abhi." Abhishek nodded.
"Sorry vani." Abhishek said and instantly covered her eyes along with her face with his hands.
"Abhi bhai aap vani di ko kidnap kyu kar rahe ho." Arush yelled, his voice was innocent yet serious.
Vanya struggled under his grip, "Bhai, leave me." her voice came out muffled.
"Maine usey bahar le jane ke liye bola tha, idiot." Advait scolded.
Reyansh whacked Abhishek on his head and he loosen the grip.
Doctor pulled down Aditya's trousers a little bit and rubbed the cotton on the area, then he piereced the needle in his skin. Aditya hissed due to sensation.
Aditya again laid down on his back, and Abhishek let go of Vanya.
Vanya caught her breath and took a deep breath, she glared at him furiously, "Saans rok di thi meri aapne."
"Sorry!" Abhishek said sheepishly.
Doctor suggested a spray to Advait and took his leave. Reyansh went out to accompany the doctor to the door.
"Bachho, tum log bhi jao jakar dinner karo." Advait ordered.
Abhishek and Arush left the room and Vanya stood beside Aditya and said, "Get well soon, Adi."
A wide grin spread over his face, "Tune bol diya na ab to mai jaldi theek ho jaunga."
Advait rolled his eyes at his brother's flirting skills.
Vanya playfully slapped his forehead muttering, "Silly." and she left the room.
Advait settled down beside Aditya and caressed his forehead, "Tera dinner mai yahi room me le kar aata hu hm." He softly said.
Aditya hugged his torso, "Nahi, thodi der mere sath betho aap." He put his head on his lap.
Advait started stroking his hair gently, Aditya leaned to his touch and closed his eyes.
After sometime, Reyansh and Vanya left for their home. Advait fed Aditya his dinner and tucked him in the blanket to sleep.
He came down in living room to see Abhishek and Arush were still watching TV. He shook his head and unplugged the switch.
"Ye TV kisne band kiya?" Arush shouted without noticing Advait.
"Maine kiya, koi problem hai?" Advait asked crossing his arms over his chest.
Arush shook his head frantically, "Kal school nahi jana tum dono ko?" Advait sharply asked.
"Jana hai, bhaiya." Abhishek replied.
"To abhi tak TV kyu dekh rahe the, apne room me jao dono." He ordered.
They both hurriedly ran upstairs, "Mai check karne aaunga mujhe sote huye milne chahiye dono." Advait yelled behind them.
He went to the kitchen and made a coffee for himself, and then made his way to his study to do his office work.

Abhishek was in the canteen with his friend, Akash. It was the recess time and the canteen was bustling with students walking here and there, chattering with each other. The aroma of the fresh food was spread in the air.
Abhishek and Akash were sitting together on a small table. They were having puff patties and talking about random things.
"Saturday ko mera birthday hai." Akash cheered up.
"Oh haan yaar!" Abhishek remembered.
"Dekh mai pehle hi bata deta hu tujhe aana hai aur koi bahana nahi chalega." Akash said.
Abhishek laughed, "Of course aaunga, bro."
"Maine dad se permission le li hai puri raat party karenge mast enjoy karenge." Akash said.
Abhishek confused, "Night party hai?"
Akash bobbed his head as his mouth was filled with patties.
"Night party hai to mai nahi aa sakta." Abhishek said as a matter-of-fact.
"Tune abhi to bola tu jarur aayega." Akash glared at him.
"Mujhe nahi pata tha tu night party ki baat kar raha hai." Ha replied, "Bhaiya allow nahi karenge night party ke liye."
"Maan jayenge tu puch kar to dekh." Akash encouraged.
"Puch kar fayda nahi hai mujhe pata hai wo nahi maanenge." Abhishek replied sadly.
"To tu unhe mana lena, mujhe nahi pata mera ek hi best friend hai aur mujhe wo mere birthday party me chahiye." Akash told him.
"Samjha kar yaar, bhaiya nahi maanenge." Abhishek gave him a pleading look.
"Mujhe kuch nahi sunna, tu mere birthday party me aayega matlab aayega." Akash said in 'no more discussion on this topic' tone.
"I'll try." Abhishek sighed.
"You better be." Akash playfully narrowed his eyes making Abhishek chuckle at him.

Abhishek, Aditya and Arush were waiting for Advait in the living room as it was the past time of he usually arrived from office.
"Bhai, 10 minutes late ho gaye." Arush said exaggerating the words.
"Aru, it's only 10 minutes." Abhishek replied calmly.
"Aap bhaiya ko call karke pucho na wo late kaise ho gaye." Arush said.
"Thoda wait kar bas 10 minutes late hi huye hain, aa jayenge." Abhishek replied.
"No bhai, please call him na." Arush stomped his feet.
"Bhai karlo na call warna ye aise hi chillata rahega." Aditya looked up from his video game.
Abhishek sighed and took out his phone, "Fine, karta hoon."
He dialled Advait's number and the call picked up after two rings.
"Hello bhaiy...." Abhishek just said this when Arush snatched the phone from his hand.
"Hello bhaiya, aap kaha ho? Kitni der me aaoge? Aapko late kaise ho gaya? Roz to itne time tak aa jate ho." Arush bombarded his question at him.
"Unhe bolna ka chance to de." Aditya lightly tapped his forehead.
"Sorry bachha, mai batana bhool gaya mujhe aaj late ho jayega." Advait replied from the other side.
"Late... Kitna late?" Arush pouted.
"Abhi mujhe nahi pata tum teeno dinner karke so jana mai aa jaunga raat tak." Advait replied.
"Par bhaiya..." Arush whined but cutted off by Advait.
"Beta, Abhi ko phone do zara." Advait ordered.
Arush pouted and handed over the phone to Abhishek and left from there.
"Ji bhaiya." Abhishek said.
"Beta mujhe aaj ghar aane me late ho jayega tum teeno dinner kar lena aur apna homework complete kar lena aur adi, aru ki bhi help kar dena aur haa time se so jana." Advait instructed.
"Ji bhaiya samajh gaya, don't worry." Abhishek replied assuringly.
"Mai kaka se bol dunga wo aaj ghar hi ruk jayenge." Advait added.
"Kaka ko pareshan karne ki jarurat nahi hai bhaiya mai hoon na mai dhyan rakh lunga." Abhishek reassured.
"Mai phir bhi kaka ko bol dunga beta, tum log dhyan rakhna aur unhe pareshan mat karna aur aru ko mana lena and make sure ki wo dinner ache se kare." Advait said.
"Don't worry, bhaiya. I'll handle him." Abhishek replied.
"Hm Adi kaha hai?" Advait asked.
"Yahi hai video game khel raha hai." Abhishek replied and Aditya looked up from his game.
"Okay meri meeting hai baad me call karta hu ha." Advait said from the other side.
"Bye, Bhaiya." Abhishek said and Advait hung up the phone.
