Chapter 15
The car came to a halt. Advait hurriedly get down of the car and made his way inside the mansion. Reyansh quickly followed him not trusting his friend's temper.
Advait entered making everyone stood up from their places, he ran and directly hugged Aditya to his chest caughting him off guard.
Advait let out a relaxed breath, he tightened his hold around him as if he will disappear if he loosen the grip.
His breaths were heavy, Aditya sensed it and rubbed his back to sooth him without uttering a word.
Advait backed down slightly just to cup his cheeks "Tu theek hai bacha?" He asked, his eyes filled with concern and vulnerability.
"Mai theek hoon bhaiya. Mujhe kya hua hai?" Aditya replied oblivious to the fuss he created behind himself.
Advait exhaled a relaxed breath and kissed his forehead again hugging him to his chest. After his mother's demise all he does have his brothers and he couldn't imagine his life without them. He already lose enough in his life.
Reyansh put a hand on his shoulder from behind, "Relax advi, ab to mil gaya na adi ab to shaant ho jaa."
Advait looked at Aditya and asked, "Kahan gaya tha?"
Aditya looked here and there to avoid answering him.
Advait whacked his head lightly, "Kuch pucha maine?"
"Kahan gaya tha aur wo bhi wall kood ke ha?" Advait twisted his ear.
"Oww mai nahi bata sakta." Aditya bit on his lower lip to suppress his whines.
"Adi, jaldi sach sach bata warna bohot pitega." Advait warned him letting go of his ear.
Aditya replied, "Mai abhi nahi bata sakta, baad me bata dunga pakka."
Advait glared at him, he was very thin on his patience and Aditya was testing it.
Reyansh stepped forward before Advait could bash his little brother, "Kyu maar khane ka shok ho raha hai tujhe, bata de na kahan gaya tha."
Aditya shook his head making Advait burst out, "Ek thappad padega na abhi sab sach nikal jayega." Aditya quickly covered his both cheeks with hands.
Abhishek, Arush and Vanya quietly watching the drama unfolding in front of them.
"Batayega ya nahi?" Advait dangerously asked him.
Aditya gulped and nodded reluctantly.
"Bol?" Advait said.
Aditya slowly took out the something from his pocket and forwarded it towards Advait.
Advait furrowed and took it from his hand, it was the same old watch that was mistakenly broken by Aditya. He briefly looked at the watch before looking at him again.
"What's with it?" Advait asked with confusion.
"Mujhse toot gayi thi na to isey theek karane gaya tha." Aditya replied innocently.
Advait studied him for a few moment before looking at the watch. He noticed the watch in his hand, the crack that was in it was not there. He brushed his hand on the new glass of the watch.
He was overwhelmed by the gesture, his eyes got misted and his throat tightening making it difficult for him to let his feelings out through the words.
He embraced Aditya in a quick moment, a few tears rolled down from his eyes. He buried his face in his shoulder to hide his tears and brushed away his tears. Then rested his forehead against his and whispered a weak, "thank you!"
"You're so dramatic, bhaiya. Stop crying, please." Aditya said playfully to lighten his emotions.
Abhishek and Arush quickly hugged him making him stumbled a little. He wiped off his tears and kissed their heads.
Reyansh ruffled Aditya's hair lovingly, "I didn't knew you also used your brain." He teased him.
"Oh reyansh bhai, mujhe ache se pata hai mujhe kaha mera dimag use karna hai aur kaha dil." Aditya sassed, looking at Vanya in the end.
Advait and Abhishek suppressed their laugh at this.
Reyansh glared at him and whacked his head, he knows the boy was naughty but not spoiled. He always shared different dynamics with the boy because of the little boy's obsession towards his sister. They always continue their teasing banter and both took that in a playful manner.
"Jab bhaiya itne der se puch rahe the tab kyu nahi bataya, maar khane ka mann kar raha tha tera?" Abhishek asked narrowing his eyes.
"I wanted to surprise him on his birthday." Aditya confessed.
A soft smile spread across on Advait's face.
"Oh yes! Bhaiya ka to birthday aane wala hai." Arush jumped out of excitement.
"Yeahhh Partyyy!!!" Vanya joined him.
Advait chuckled at them, "Mere birthday ki party badme karna pehle dinner kar lete hain."
They bobbed their heads and ran to dining room. Aditya tried to follow Vanya and started taking long steps but a sharp pain shot through his leg and he hissed grabbing Advait and Reyansh's attention as they were only left in the living room.
"Adi, bachha kya hua?" Advait quickly hold him and made him sat on the sofa.
"No- Nothing, bhaiya." Aditya tried to hide.
"Jhoot mat bol, bata kya hua?" Advait asked him firmly.
"Sacchi kuch nahi hua bhaiya." Aditya tried to stand up.
"Aditya!" Advait pressed his name.
"Aap daantoge to nahi?" He pleaded, showing his puppy eyes.
"Nahi daantunga, bata kya hua?" Advait asked.
"Wo wall koodte time per me chot lag gayi thi.... thodi si." He confessed meekly but added 'thodi si' after receiving a death stare from his brother.
"thodi si?" Advait gritted his teeth and whacked his arm sharply, " Tu chal nahi paa raha hai aur bol raha hai thodi si chot lagi hai." He again whacked him.
"Aapne bola tha aap daantoge nahi." Aditya mumbled while rubbing the sting from his arm.
Advait again whacked him, "Abhi bhi muh band nahi ho raha hai."
"Oww bhaiya." Aditya cried.
"Kya kar raha hai usey already chot lagi huyi hai tujhe aur maarne ki jarurat nahi hai." Reyansh interjected.
Advait crouched down and folded up Aditya's pants to his knee, his jaw clenched in anger looking at the swelling on his leg.
Aditya gulped looking at his expression, "Ye thodi si chot hai?" He dangerously asked.
Aditya looked down not answering anything, Reyansh looked forward and gasped looking at his legs. It was swelled and blue in color, a few patches of black was also formed there. This time he whacked him, "Galat hi mana kiya maine tujhe maarne se." He said looking at Advait.
"Ye kya halat banayi huyi h per ki, kisne kaha tha stunt kar ke bahar jane ko." Reyansh asked, his voice rising slightly in anger but his eyes were filled with concern.
"Sorry." Aditya whispered.
"Your sorry won't fix it." Advait yelled making Aditya nearly jumped on his seat.
He sighed and closed his eyes for a moment to relax, "Calm down, mai first-aid le kar aata hu." Reyansh suggested.
"First-aid nahi yaar doctor ko call kar, agar koi internal injury huyi to." Advait concerned.
Aditya shook his head, "it's just swelling, bhaiya koi internal injury nahi hai."
"Tu doctor hai?" Advait glared at him.
He slowly shook his head, "To chup chap yaha baith ek bhi awaj na aa jaye muh se." Advait threatened.
"Call the doctor, Rey." Advait said tiredly.
Aditya meekly shook his head at Reyansh to not to call the doctor.
Reyansh looked between the brothers. The one was glaring into his soul and the other one was pleading through his eyes.
He knew that there was not any internal injuries and it was only a normal swelling because of falling down with a twisted leg.
But Advait was very protective about his brothers and he did not take a single risk about their well being.
Reyansh finally sighed and made a call to the doctor and left to handle the other kids.
Aditya internally cried not because he was afraid of the doctor or the medical stuff but he knew if the doctor will check his leg he will suggest a full day bed rest to him, it mean no school which directly mean not seeing Vanya for a whole day and according to him he could survive without oxygen but not without seeing Vanya.
"Bhaiya, doctor rehne do na please." He again tried.
"Agar tere chot nahi lagi hoti na to abhi tak tera muh tod deta mai." Advait warned showing him a slap.
Aditya looked down not liking being scolded, he didn't admit but he was in pain. His leg was throbbing badly but afraid to say out loud. He sulked and leaned on Advait.
Advait wrapped him in his protective embrace and pecked his temple. Aditya rested his head on his chest, closing his eyes in relaxation.
"Kyu karta hai aisa beta dekh kitni chot laga li." Advait stroked his hair, his voice was filled with pain and concern.
"Kya jarurat thi wall kood kar jane ki normal insaano ki tarah nahi jaa sakta tha?"
"Apki wo security mujhe normal insaan banne nahi de rahi thi islie mujhe bandar banna pada." Aditya replied laughing at his own joke.
"This isn't funny, Adi. You're hurt and you could have injured badly." Advait said with firmness.
"Sorry na." Aditya hide his face in his chest.
"Mere liye tujhse jyada important kuch nahi hai, ek watch ke liye tune khud ko chot laga li."
"But bhai told me it was gifted by your mother." Aditya replied looking up from his chest.
"It is but it's not important than you. Wo watch mere liye bohot matter karti hai bohot jyada par hai to wo ek watch hi na mai uske bina reh sakta hu." Advait said his voice wavering slightly.
"Par tu- tu mera bachha hai mai tere bina nahi reh sakta, tujhe kuch ho jata to mai mar jata. Meri jaan nikal gayi thi jab tu kahi nahi mil raha tha, fir kabhi mujhe bina bataye aise nahi jana." He spilled out his emotions and gulped the lump formed in his throat.
Aditya looked at him with his innocent doe eyes, "I'm sorry bhaiya, mai bas apko surprise dena chahta tha islie bina bataye chala gaya."
Advait ruffled his hair, "Phir kabhi aisa mat karna aaj bohot saari galtiyaan ki hai tune par tere intentions ache the to mai daant bhi nahi sakta." He teased him pinching his cheeks.
"It is the last time I'm letting you go, Adi. Next time se bina security ke kahi nahi jana aur ye stunts to bilkul bhi nahi karne." He strictly stated.
Aditya nodded his head, blinking assuringly "I promise."
Aditya hugged him tightly feeling safe and protective in his embrace taking all the warmth and Advait hugged him to his chest silently taking vow to always sheild his brothers from this world no matter what it had taken him to do it.
