Chapter 147

Advait was sitting in his cabin, his focus was on the laptop.

His coat was laying neatly on the couch, he was wearing a white shirt and the sleeves of the shirt were rolled up to his forearms. His fingers were moving effortlessly on the keys of the laptop when a knock came on the door.

He granted the permission to the person to enter the room, without looking up from the laptop's screen.

The door pushed opened and Abhishek entered the room with a nervous smile on his face, "Hello, bhaiya." He said charmly to diffuse the tension in the room.

Advait looked up making the smile vanish of his face.

"Dhyan kahan rehta hai tera?" Advait asked, "Aise kaam karega?"

"Mera meeting par hi focus tha, bhaiya." Abhishek said.

Advait picked up the paper weight from the table before throwing at his side but Abhishek dodged it off luckily, "Kya kar rahe hain bhaiya, itni si baat ke liye apne bacche ki jaan le lenge kya?" He asked horrified.

"Baccha nahi raha ab tu unth ho gaya hai." Advait retorted making him pout, "Aur sharam nahi aati na bilkul bhi jhooth bolte huye?" He scolded.

Abhishek looked down mumbling an apology.

"Kya soch raha tha?" Advait asked, raising his brow.

Abhishek looked at him before swiftly looking away, "Ku-Kuch bhi to nahi bas aise hi." He answered.

Advait shook his head in exaggeration before saying, "Baith."

Abhishek sat down on the chair in front of him across the table.

"Teri aur Sia ki shaadi ho gayi hai ab." Advait just said this when Abhishek spoke up, "Mujhe pata hai, bhaiya. Mai bhi tha shaadi me." He joked and laughed at his own joke but stopped after receiving a glare from Advait.

"Kahan se laata hai itne lame jokes?" Advait asked with a serious face making him pout.

Advait shake his head composing himself, "Sia pehle teri dost thi, tu usse mazak karta tha, jaise bhi baate karta tha theek tha par ab wo teri wife hai, mazak apni jagah hai par uske saath izzat se baat karni hai.

Teri wife hone ke naate wo jo respect deserve karti hai usey wo respect deni hai. " He said in a firm tone.

"Mai theek se hi baat karta hoon, bhaiya...

"Bataya tha mujhe Sia ne kitna theek se baat karta hai tu usse." Advait said sternly, "Pehle hi din usse unchi awaaz me baat ki." He glared at him.

Abhishek gulped down a little, shifting on his chair, "Aainda uske saamne awaaz uthana to door ki baat, nazrein utha kr bhi baat ki na to mujhse bura aur koi nahi hoga." He warned.

"Aapse bura koi hai bhi nahi." Abhishek mumbled under his breath.

Advait heared him and picked up a file before whacking him with it.

"Bhaiya, maariye mat bada ho gaya hoon ab mai." Abhishek whined.

"Jitna bada ho gaya hai utna hi nalayak ho gaya hai." Advait said with a firm tone, "Jaa ab." He dismissed him.

"Jaa raha hoon, har time daant-te rehte hain. Aisa nahi ki kabhi pyar se baat karlein." Abhishek kept mumbling under his breath until Advait pulled out his shoe to throw at his side making him ran away from the cabin.

In the evening, Arush and Sadhwi were sitting in the living room. Arush was teaching her to operate laptop and she was looking at it with focus. They both were looking adorable, having all the focus on the device.

"Ye ye ye wala step phir se karo mujhe samajh nahi aaya." Sadhwi said, throwing her hands in the air.

"Hmm." Arush hummed and again clicked some keys on the keyboard.

"Ab aaya samajh?" He asked.

Sadhwi nodded her head with a confused face.

"Aaya ya nahi?" Arush asked again.

"Nahi." She meekly replied.

He lightly whacked her head and she pouted. Advait who was entering the mansion at the same time spoke up, "Ek thappad lagaunga Aru agar ladkiyon par haath uthaya to." He said sternly.

Arush pouted getting up from his place followed by Sadhwi, "Masti me maar raha tha, bhaiya." He replied.

"Masti me bhi nahi maarna, ladki hai wo izzat kiya kar." Advait said strictly.

"Sabki izzat karenge to lootenge kiski?" Arush said out loud by mistake.

Sadhwi snapped her head at him and Advait's eyes widened listening to the words coming out of his innocent brother's mouth, "Badtameez." Advait said while whacking his arm two times continuously.

"Study me chal tu, teri taange na tod di aaj maine to kehna." Advait rebuked and twisted his ear making him hissed in pain.

"Ahh bhaiya mo-movie ka dialogue bol raha tha sacchi... sorryyy." He said, clutching onto Advait's wrist.

"Movie dekh kar dimaag sad gaya hai tum logo ka." Advait scolded, his hold on his ear was firm, "Aainda mujhe TV dekhte nazar aa gaya na to TV ke saath teri taange bhi tod dunga." He warned in a bone chilling tone.

A shiver ran down Arush's spine and the tears brimmed in his eyes because of the pain but he managed himself to nod.

"Bh-Bhaiya, usko pain ho raha hai. Chordijiye please." Sadhwi spoke up meekly in a scared tone.

Advait glanced at her before leaving Arush's ear, "Idiot." He muttered in anger.

Arush looked down rubbing his sore ear with a pout when his gaze landed on a paper bag in Advait's hand, "Isme kya hai?" He asked quietly.

Advait glared at him but reply, "Cupcakes hai Adi ke liye."

"Mere liye nahi laaye?" He asked, his lower lip slightly jutted out in a small pout.

Advait sighed heavily before saying, "Laaya hoon." He genlty caressed his ear which had turned red.

Arush hugged him softly, "I love you, bhaiya." He said to make up to him.

"Hmm." Advait hummed with a roll of his eyes knowing his tactics very well.

Arush pulled back and took the bag from Advait's hand before running away from there, "Adi ke liye bacha dena." Advait shouted behind him.

Advait's gaze landed on Sadhwi who was standing there but before Advait could say anything, Sadhwi spoke up, "Maine padhai kar li hai aur dubara padhne hi jaa rahi thi, bye." She said in one breath before running away from there making Advait smiled at her childish antics.

Advait was about to headed upstairs when he noticed his wife who was coming downstairs, "Kahan jaa rahi hain?" He asked.

"Garden me walk karne jaa rahi thi, room me baithe baithe bore ho rahi thi." She replied while stepping down the stairs and standing in front of Advait.

Advait pulled her close to himself, "Room me chaliye, ab aapka pati aa gaya hai aapko bilkul bore nahi hone dega." He said brushing his nose against hers.

"Kyun aap mujra karke entertain karenge mujhe?" She teased him.

Advait's lips twitched up slightly, "Agar meri biwi hukum kare to wo bhi kar lenge." He murmured and pecked the corner of her lips.

"Chordiye aap mujhe, aap se baaton me koi nahi jeet sakta." She said, wriggling out of his embrace.

Advait chuckled before taking a step back, "Adi kahan hai?" He asked.

"Vani ke ghar gaya hai, aata hi hoga." She replied, afraid of his reaction.

Advait's expression changed swiftly, "Ye ladka." Advait hissed, "College nahi gaya to ye nahi hai ki ghar par hi padh loon, Vani se milne chala gaya." He said with disapproval in his tone.

"Padhai hi kar raha tha wo, abhi aadhe ghante pehle hi gaya hai aur aata hi hoga." She lied to save Aditya from her husband's anger, "Itna gussa mat kiya kijiye aap, har time mere bacchon par apna gussa nikalte rehte hain." She said, making a huffed face.

"Aapko to bas mera gussa karna hi dikhta hai, apne bacchon ki harkatein nahi dikhayi deti hain haina." He retorted.

"Aane do isey aaj ghar...

"Advait, aap usse kuch nahi kahenge waise hi aapne usey pehle se hi naraaz kiya hua hai." Shreya reminded him.

Advait ignored her and pocketed out his phone to call Aditya.

The call was ringing but no one was picking up the call.

Advait clenched his fist when Aditya ignored his call.

He called him again but the call again went unanswered.

He cursed under his breath before calling Vanya and she picked up the call on the first ring.

"Adi kahan hai?" Advait asked as soon as she picked up the call.

Vanya furrowed his brows, "Adi to yahan nahi hai, bhaiya. Wo to bohot der pehle hi yahan se chala gaya." She replied.

"What?" Advait asked, the worry engulfed in his senses.

"Wo abhi tak ghar nahi aaya kya?" She asked in a small voice.

"Nahi." Advait replied, "Usne tujhe bataya tha wo kahin jane wala hai?" He further asked.

"Nahi bhaiya, wo actually... umm meri aur uski thodi si argument ho gayi thi aur wo chala gaya." She informed hesitantly.

Advait closed his eyes taking a deep breath, "Call kar usko. Shayad tera call utha le." He said.

"Ji." She said and hung up the call.

"Kya hua?" Shreya asked as soon as Advait pocketed his phone.

"Aashiqui me pagal ho gaya hai ye ladka." Advait said furiously.

Vanya called Aditya but the call went unanswered, she again called him but got no response. Her heart had started beating rapidly, the tears had started pooling in her eyes. She was anticipating the worst scenarios, she opened his chat folder and typed messages to him with shaky hands.

The tears fell down off her eyes and she started hiccupping. She was feeling uneasy, the panic and guilt had started clawing at her chest making her feel heavy and anxious.

On the other side, Advait was pacing in the living room in worry.

It had been two hours and Aditya was still not at home.

Advait had sent guards to search for Aditya as he was not responding to the calls and messages.

Shreya was sitting on the sofa, the tears were threatening to spill out of her eyes at anytime.

Advait's jaw was clenched in anger, a mask of anger was covered up on his face but he was clearly panicking.

The sky was dark, the moon was no where to be seen.

At the beach side, a lonely figure was sitting looking at the flowing, calm water in front of him.

His stiff shoulders were clearly indicating the tension bubbling up inside his body.

His heart was aching remembering Vanya's words.

The only thought of Vanya's words being true was unbearable to him.

His jaw was clenched so tightly that it ticked.

He was feeling so alone, he was already not feeling good after ignoring Advait at breakfast table and the argument with Vanya made the situation worst for him.

He just wanted to go home and crashed against his bhaiya's arms oblivious to his continuous calls.

He had left his phone in the car as he wanted peace for sometime.

He stood up dusting off his pants and made his way towards the car when Advait's guards caught him on the way, "What are you guys doing here?" Aditya asked, recognizing the guards.

"We were searching for you, sir." A guard replied, "Boss sent us to bring you home." He informed.

Aditya furrowed his brows, "Mujhe dhoondne ke liye? Mai koi kho thodi na gaya tha jo mujhe dhoondne ke liye bhaiya ne aap logo ko bheja." Aditya said.

"Aap unke call pick nahi kar rahe the islie unhone humein bheja and honestly speaking... best of luck, sir. Boss bohot gusse me hain." The guard said making him gulped down.

He slowly made his way towards the car and sat down inside it.

He picked up his phone and his heart skipped a beat in fear looking at the number of missed calls from Advait.

His gaze landed on Vanya's messages reminding him of the ache he was feeling inside his heart.

He took a deep breath to compose himself and left her message on seen.

The guard started the car and Aditya was silently praying for himself.

After a twenty minutes journey, the car stopped in front of the Malhotra mansion.

Aditya slowly stepped out of the car and made his way inside the mansion. His legs were trembling slightly but the moment he entered the living room and looked at Advait's furious face, his heart dropped to his stomach. Advait hadn't noticed him, he was angrily pacing back and forth in the room.

"Bhai!" Arush spoke up grabbing everyone's attention and ran to hug Aditya.

Aditya quickly engulfed him in a hug and tightened his hold around him in fear, "Kahan chale gaye the aap, kitni tension ho gayi thi hum sab ko." Arush complained.

Abhishek came to him and whacked his head, "Kahan gaya tha?" He asked in a sharp tone.

"Door hatt tu, kahan chala gaya tha mera beta?" Shreya asked softly, taking Aditya to her side to protect him.

Aditya's voice died down in his throat looking at Advait's blazing eyes.

"Yahan aa." Advait said in a dangerously calm voice making him shiver.

Aditya looked down before meekly taking steps towards him. He stood before him making a safe distance. His head was digged between his shoulders. The room was silent and the silence was chilling, Abhishek and Arush both were scared for Aditya.

"Phone de apna." Advait asked, forwarding his hand in front of him.

Aditya anticipated what was going to happen but he quietly pulled out his phone from his pocket before giving it to Advait without looking at him. The moment Aditya handed him the phone, Advait threw it against the wall breaking it into pieces making everyone flinched.

"Kahan gaya tha?" Advait asked calmly, stepping towards him but Aditya couldn't bring himself to say anything.

"Kahan gaya tha?" Advait shouted on top of his lungs making him jumped out of his skin.

"Va-Vanu ke... ghar." Aditya stuttered.

"Uske baad kahan gaya tha, wahan se to tu bohot pehle hi nikal gaya tha... ladai karke." Advait said making Aditya looked up in shock.

"Jyada aashiqui ka bhoot sawaar ho gaya hai? Gharwalo ki koi fikar nahi hai, hum yahan mar rahe hain ye soch kar ki tu kahan hai aur tujhse ek phone tak nahi uthaya jaa raha tha." Advait shouted, the fear was laced in his voice.

"Ph-Phone gaadi me re-reh gaya tha." Aditya whispered.

Advait took a deep breath and raked his hand over his hair before asking, "Kya jarurat thi Vani ke ghar jane ki? Agar college nahi gaya to ghar par baith kar padhai kar sakta tha na ya phir agle semester me bhi yahi result laana hai?" He reprimanded harshly.

Aditya blinked back his tears and shook his head.

"Muh me jubaan nahi hai?" Advait snapped in anger.

"Kahan gaya tha?" Advait asked through gritted teeth before taking a step towards him.

Shreya quickly stood in front of Advait, shielding Aditya, "Advait, jaane dijiye. Ab to aa gaya haina wo ghar. Phir se aisa nahi karega." She said and looked back at Aditya, "Haina baccha?" She gestured to him to agree with her and Aditya meekly nodded his head, "Ji." He whispered.

Advait looked down at Shreya, "Move." He said calmly.

"Advait...

"Move aside, Shreya." His voice left no room for argument.

Shreya slowly moved aside but kept standing at Aditya's side. Advait firmly gripped Aditya's chin and made him look up, "Kahan gaya tha?"

The moment Advait's eyes met with Aditya, he noticed the tears brimming in his eyes. His grip softened a bit at that but his heart ache with the guilt when he notice the slight tremble in Aditya's hand. Advait left his chin and backed off.

"In your room." Advait said, looking away.

Aditya quickly scurried away from there, scaring as if he had stood there for a one more minute, his tears would betray him.
