CHAPTER ELEVEN #2

"Mrs. Kapoor, Mrs. Sharma," Serena said, her tone perfectly even, projecting authority.

"I have the utmost confidence in the operational capabilities of this association.

You have successfully run these philanthropy circles for years.

Therefore, I am delegating the execution and chairing of the Winter Gala to the two of you. "

The women stared at her in shock. "You... you are giving us the chair?" Mrs. Kapoor asked, her eyes wide.

"I am empowering you to take control of the logistics," Serena corrected smoothly.

"I do not need to micromanage your floral selections or your caterers.

You will manage the ground execution. However, you will submit the final guest list and the budget overview to my office for final authorization forty-eight hours prior to printing. Is that understood?"

"Yes, of course, Ma'am," Mrs. Sharma said quickly, a flush of pride and relief washing over her.

"Excellent," Serena said, closing her portfolio.

She had just established a perimeter. She gave them the glory and the control over the tedious details, but maintained the ultimate veto power, ensuring no one would ever question who held the highest rank.

"If there is nothing further, I have intelligence briefings to review. Have a productive morning, ladies."

Serena stood up, offering a polite, devastatingly sharp smile, and walked out of the room with flawless grace.

The moment the doors clicked shut behind her, the room exhaled a collective breath.

"She is formidable," one of the younger wives whispered from the back of the table.

"She is brilliant," Mrs. Kapoor corrected, staring at the closed door with respect. "She didn't even look at the color swatches. She just solved our funding crisis and handed us the gala in under ten minutes."

"Just make sure the budget is flawless," Mrs. Sharma warned, tapping her pen against her notepad, her voice dropping to a hushed, serious tone.

"If we mismanage a single rupee or cross a line, the Major General will have our husbands transferred to a glacier before midnight. We do exactly as she asked."

Across the sprawling Cantonment, in the heavily fortified headquarters of the division command, Major General Rudraksh Ashmehr-Vohn was holding his own summit.

His new office was lined with secure communications terminals, digital maps of the geopolitical borders, and reinforced glass overlooking the armored vehicle depots.

Rudraksh stood at the head of the conference table, his sleeves rolled up, revealing the thick scars and muscle of his forearms. Standing at attention around the table were the men who had bled with him in the shadows: Armaan, Vivaan, Aditya, Kunal, Faraz, Rohan, and Ishaan.

They were his Tactical Intelligence Team, and they had followed him without a second of hesitation into this new deployment.

"At ease," Rudraksh commanded, his gravelly voice filling the room.

The team relaxed, though the respect they held for the Monarch was only amplified by the two stars on his uniform.

"The division is yours, Boss," Armaan Trivedi said, a proud grin on his face. "Fifteen thousand grunts and an armored column. How does the air feel up here in the stratosphere?"

"Thin," Rudraksh grunted, leaning his hands on the table. "The bureaucracy is exactly what I expected. The Corps Commander wants a full integration of our intelligence protocols into the standard infantry training. Which brings me to your new assignments."

Rudraksh tapped a command on the digital table, projecting the schematics of the Cantonment’s training establishments.

"As GOC, my responsibilities are operational readiness and deployment," Rudraksh stated, his dark eyes locking onto his men.

"I am officially the Commandant of the training sector.

But I am not sitting in a classroom teaching recruits how to read a compass.

I am delegating the entire instructional role to this unit. "

Vivaan Saxena let out a low whistle. "You’re giving us the training command? All of it?"

"All of it," Rudraksh confirmed. "Armaan, you are acting Commandant of Field Operations.

Aditya, you own the sniper academies. Vivaan, you are rewriting the extraction and evasive driving manuals.

I want you to take these standard infantry units and forge them into something formidable.

Break their bad habits. Drill our intelligence protocols into their heads until it becomes muscle memory. "

"It’s going to be brutal, Sir," Kunal Bakshi warned, crossing his arms. "Standard infantry isn't used to the physical or psychological strain of tactical intelligence training. We are going to have a high washout rate."

"Then let them wash out," Rudraksh said coldly, the unforgiving tactician returning to the surface.

"I will not deploy a division into a hostile zone if they cannot survive our baseline.

You have full authority to scorch the earth on the training grounds.

If anyone questions your methods, you tell them it came directly from the Major General. "

"Yes, Sir," the team chorused, a dangerous, eager energy rippling through the room. They were the best in the world, and now they had the keys to the kingdom to build an army in their own image.
