Chapter 21 #2

In a way, he was right. Nastasia going ghost would make this easier on both our parts to move on now that we crossed the line. But at the same time, I wasn’t ready to walk away.

For a brief moment, I questioned if I deserved this cold silence.

That was the thing about some women, they figured since a lot of men were dogs that it was okay to treat all men accordingly and disregard their feelings.

It was a defense mechanism I could understand, but I didn’t feel worthy of it from Nas.

I took a glance at the other people on the deck, watching to see that everything was all right.

Most times, it was. There was a spell over the Spade Suite, one step out on it and tranquility took over and there was no room for animosity.

Though, Cesar’s antagonizing was seeping through the haze. We’d been friends for too long to—

She was here.

Across the way, I spotted Nastasia. She was wearing a strapless black top that pushed her breasts up and a white mini skirt. Knowing her body like I knew it now, I could see she wasn’t wearing panties.

Cesar followed my line of vision and whistled once more. “Bold.”

I came back to him, stealing a moment of clarity before I bolted. “Watch the club for me. Thirty minutes, tops.”

Cesar chuckled and I didn’t have time to feel a way as I stood up and crossed over to Nas. The bartender, Adrien, was handing her a glass with what looked like fruit-flavored wine in it.

Since when did she drink wine?

Her hand had just touched the glass when she turned and noticed me. Guilt didn’t even register on her face. Instead, she lit up and appeared bubbly and friendly.

“Zeke! Hey, how are you, friend?” She came and gave me a small hug, something you gave to a casual acquaintance on the street. “I haven’t seen you in a minute.”

I didn’t know what game she was playing, but it wasn’t going down like this.

I took her arm, set the wine down on the counter, and took off for the elevator.

Nastasia managed to keep up with my quick stride, not losing her smile an ounce.

Once we were alone on the elevator, she stood at my side, looking up at me with glee. “You look nice.”

Somehow, I managed to calm down and laugh a little. I already knew what I was going to do before we arrived at the second floor.

Pops hadn’t shown up tonight, which gave me free rein with the office. I led Nastasia inside and locked the door behind us. Even if the room was soundproof, I wanted total privacy.

Nastasia stood back, watching me. Still acting nonchalant and as if last night hadn’t happened. “So, what’s up, friend?”

I closed my eyes and blew a breath out through my nose, before opening them and settling my gaze on Nas. She knew what she was doing. “Friend?”

“Yeah, that’s us, two peas in a pod.” Nas came closer and swept her hands across my chest, smoothing out the material of my dark blue dress shirt. She flickered her eyes to meet mine. “Friends till the end.”

“And last night?”

“Was a benefit to our friendship, wouldn’t you say?” Her smirk and demeanor reminded me of Cesar’s earlier. She walked her fingers up my chest. “And if you quit pouting, we can benefit again from it.”

Fuck this.

In a blur, I had her over at the desk, pressed against the edge. Her breathing was heightening and the control was leaving her grasp.

“I think it’s time to show you why I love this office versus the Heart Suite,” I told her.

To tease me, Nastasia turned around, poking her ass out as she pressed her palms down flat on the desktop. “Oh, back shots, right?”

The nerve of her to come to my club after ghosting me all day. The sight of her little body, of her swinging her hips back and forth, of her looking back at me with a dare in her eyes, took me from annoyed to aroused.

I leaned her forward over the desk, arched her back the way I liked, and placed her hands the appropriate space apart.

“Keep your hands planted like that,” I instructed. “And whatever you do, don’t budge.”

“Sure.”

I smirked as I lifted her skirt, exposing her bareness beneath it. “Oh, you think you can handle all this steel from behind?”

“I’ve had it before.” Nastasia glanced back at me, sizing me up. “And if my memory serves me correctly, it’s just okay.”

I cupped her round ass, palming it before smacking it hard, causing her to jolt forward. “Remember that.”

I had to make this quick, but at the same time, I wanted to enjoy her.

I reached around her waist and found her clit, circling my fingers around it gently to stir her up.

“Mmm,” she let out as she squirmed.

I pulled out a condom from my wallet. “You said you like it slow?” I recalled as I unzipped my pants and let them fall to my ankles.

I slid my boxer briefs down with them and rolled the condom on.

“Here’s our rule, you slip out of this position, and I’m going to go deeper.

” I was in her ear. “Harder.” I toyed with her clit slowly. “Faster. Got it?”

“Yes!” her pitchy voice promised.

Gripping her waist with one hand, I rubbed my length along her clit, slowly, before stopping completely and stepping back.

Nastasia whimpered, leaning back to find me for more.

She wasn’t going to last long with my rules.

I entered her gradually, despite the immediate feeling making me want to go wild. I took her with slow and long strokes, committing her to memory and really savoring the sensation.

Nas.

“Uh.” Nastasia moaned and fell forward, unable to take this speed.

“I know, baby, I know,” I soothed her.

My pace quickened with her disobedience and before long she was calling out my name, yelling “Yes,” and telling me how she liked it, how she needed it, how she wanted more.

Fuck.

I reached around her again and touched her spot, needing her to finish first because she was killing me with her words.

Nastasia was chasing it just as bad as I was. She started matching my movements, meeting my pace as her hand came down and covered mine on hers.

Oh fuck.

She crossed the line first and I followed soon after, almost entirely collapsing on top of her when I was done.

I loved a good rule breaker.

There was a private restroom attached to the office.

I let Nas use it first to clean up, and then I took my turn.

As I washed my hands, all of this morning came back to me.

I knew why Cesar had questioned me up on the roof, and I knew why I couldn’t just come out with it either.

But I didn’t want to keep playing games with Nastasia.
