The Older Doctor's Examination

After a month of pain he has been hiding from his girlfriend, he crosses town to a clinic and asks for a male doctor, telling himself the visit will be less embarrassing that way.

Dr. Garrett is older, broad-shouldered, and gray at the temples, and once the gloves are on he has him lie on his side.

The exam shifts when the doctor's finger pushes inside him and his body responds in a way he cannot explain.

He has always been straight and has never looked at a man like this, yet Garrett does not rush, speaking in a low, calm voice and telling him to breathe.

He does not want it to be over, and when he is told to come back for a follow-up, he insists he is only thinking of his health. He knows he is lying.
