Chapter 1 The Guest Arrives

The doorbell of the Love House rang early in the morning.

Since I was used to waking up early, I was making breakfast when it rang.

I wiped my hands and went to open the door.

The moment I saw the person outside, I froze.

The man who usually carried himself with a lazy, devil-may-care attitude was standing there in a clean white T-shirt. The tattoos on his body were gone. He leaned against his suitcase, quietly playing with his phone.

He looked up and met my eyes.

Fate really was this coincidental.

The mysterious male guest number 4 was actually Jiang Shuo.

I tightened my grip on the door handle and gave him a slightly awkward smile.

"Hello, I'm Lin Zhi."

He shifted his gaze away and nodded at me with a somewhat cold expression.

"Hello, Jiang Shuo."

After Jiang Shuo went upstairs to put away his luggage, the host had already started arranging the schedule when he came back down.

Most people in the Love House were extremely curious about him.

After all, he was richer than most rich second generations, not to mention that aggressively handsome face of his.

Did someone like him even need to come on a show to find a girlfriend?

The third episode we were filming was group dating.

The girls chose the location and the male guest first. If the guy agreed, the pair was formed.

I chose the baking cake shop.

I sat in the farthest corner of the sofa and subconsciously glanced at Jiang Shuo, who had become very popular the moment he arrived.

Female guest one Feng Qiuyi and female guest two Liu Jiayi were standing in front of him, smiling sweetly. It looked like both of them wanted to invite him.

Jiang Shuo leaned against the sofa, only occasionally responding lazily.

I stood up. As I walked past him, my steps paused.

The previously lazy Jiang Shuo suddenly sat up straight.

He cleared his throat and spoke in a serious tone.

"Baking? I quite like it."

"Making cakes? Yeah, I can do that too."

"I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty good at it."

"Yeah, when the auntie at home isn't around, I cook by myself."

The two girls who had been talking to him suddenly fell silent.

Seeing how popular he was, I hesitated for a moment and decided to find someone else to team up with.

Just as I was about to leave, someone gently tugged at the hem of my clothes.

I looked up and saw Jiang Shuo staring at me with a serious expression.

"Do you like baking?"

Before I could answer, he added, "What a coincidence. I like it too. Let's team up."

Half an hour later, at the baking studio.

Jiang Shuo and I successfully formed a pair. I watched him knead the dough and fell into deep thought.

Out of all the pairs, we probably had the least interaction. Other than me occasionally teaching him the steps for bread and cake, we barely spoke.

Jiang Shuo really was a young master who had never done any manual work. His movements were extremely clumsy.

When I saw him coldly trying to pipe cream, failing for a long time until it sprayed everywhere, I sighed silently.

I gently held his hand and guided him step by step.

Jiang Shuo's body seemed to stiffen.

After a while, I looked up and asked, "Yes, just like this. Got it?"

His Adam's apple bobbed.

Suddenly, Jiang Shuo let out a cold snort. "Who doesn't know how to do this? How could I not know?"

I was stunned. When I lowered my head, I figured Jiang Shuo probably disliked me now because of what I had just done.
