Chapter 2 The Wrong Letter

The date ended.

All the other pairs were surrounded by pink bubbles of romance, while Jiang Shuo and I maintained a full meter of distance, as if an invisible wall stood between us.

When Jiang Shuo walked into the Love House, he was wearing a mask with a cold face, clearly broadcasting "strangers stay away."

Female guest four Zhan Qianqian walked over with a smile and asked me, "How did it go with you two today?"

I smiled helplessly and shook my head.

It really didn't go well. Other than the few sentences I said while teaching him how to make bread, we were almost completely silent the whole time.

Zhan Qianqian looked curious and whispered, "Hey, didn't you trend with Jiang Shuo a few days ago? I thought he was interested in you."

I smiled and didn't answer.

Because everyone returned late from their dates, I ordered some dishes from a nearby restaurant.

When I asked everyone what they wanted, Jiang Shuo seemed to be looking in my direction the whole time.

The moment our eyes met, he immediately looked away with an expressionless face.

While pretending to play with his phone, he said quickly, "Anything you order, I like."

His tone was so fast I couldn't catch it. I asked in confusion, "What?"

Jiang Shuo lowered his head and spoke even faster, "......"

I stayed silent for a moment, then leaned closer and said, "Sorry, can you say it again?"

He froze, then suddenly turned his head away dramatically as if trying to distance himself from me. In a cold voice, he said, "I said, anything is fine."

I nodded and said "Okay." As I turned around, I let out a soft sigh.

Sure enough, after today's date, Jiang Shuo seemed to have a bad impression of me.

After dinner came the Confession Letter segment that happened every three episodes.

I turned on the live broadcast according to the program flow.

The moment I started writing, the bullet comments were all the same.

I wrote to Jiang Shuo.

After apologizing to my fans, I knocked on Jiang Shuo's door.

He was arguing with the audience inside.

When he opened the door, his expression didn't look good, like he was still angry.

The moment he saw me handing him the Confession Letter, he froze.

The corner of his lips that had almost lifted suddenly dropped. He clenched his fist against his lips and gave a restrained cough.

With a cold face, he said, "Good taste."

I: "?"

Then he went back into his room and brought out a Confession Letter for me.

I was a little surprised when I took it.

Just as I sat on the sofa and eagerly opened the letter, Jiang Shuo suddenly rushed out of his room.

He walked quickly to me and snatched the letter from my hands before I could open it.

"Wait. This one isn't for you."

Not for me?

I felt a little embarrassed as I handed the Confession Letter back to him.

From the corner of my eye, I accidentally caught a glimpse of the letter.

The entire page was filled with writing.

It wasn't for me, which meant it was for another female guest.

I suppressed the disappointment in my heart and smiled politely at him.

"Okay. Just don't get it wrong next time."
