Chapter 9 Ideal Type
The air carried the damp scent of coming rain.
Jiang Shuo walked on my right side.
He suddenly asked, "What is your ideal type like?"
I thought for a moment and answered, "Kind, cute, and interesting. Preferably tall."
Jiang Shuo stayed silent for a second. "I do not seem to match any of that."
I glanced at him. He might not understand himself well.
I replied, "Actually, you match all of them."
Jiang Shuo looked at me in disbelief. "Me? Cute?"
In the past, whether the campus Jiang Shuo or the one who later exploded online, others saw him as someone not to provoke. The word "cute" had nothing to do with him.
While unhappy with my description, Jiang Shuo's mouth curved up in inexplicable pleasure.
Noticing he had gone quiet for a long time, I glanced at him unintentionally and nearly walked into a trash bin ahead.
Jiang Shuo was lowering his head, focused on opening his phone's Baidu search. The large words in the search bar caught my eye.
[What does it mean when a girl hints that you match her ideal type?]
I coughed. "But there is one more standard in my ideal type."
Jiang Shuo turned to look at me.
I spoke lightly in a joking tone. "I do not date young masters who grew up with every luxury."
Jiang Shuo corrected me with displeasure. "That is prejudice."
"Really." I turned and looked at him seriously, as if with regret. "Go like the other female guests."
Jiang Shuo clearly heard the serious tone.
His steps halted. He stood there stunned, staring at me.
This might be the first time in his life he tasted rejection, so he did not react for a long while.
Behind him stretched the hazy dark night. Jiang Shuo stood motionless, the budding enthusiasm completely doused from head to toe.
