11. Guy

GUY

I practically pick her up and put her in my truck. I’m only ten minutes from Ozzy’s house, and even though Nicole and I hold hands the whole way there, neither of us says much. The silence isn’t awkward, but it does feel like there is a charge of electricity between us.

I’m half hard when I pull into my driveway, and by the time I walk around the truck to help her out, I’m taking deep breaths and trying to get myself under control. “This is it,” I tell her.

She looks around the outside of my house, but my eyes stay glued to her.

I’ve never cared what people thought about me or my house, but with her it’s different.

I want her to love it here. More than that, I want her to be able to picture herself here with me.

I walk with her to the front door, and by the time we get inside, I’m trembling like this is my first time or something.

I show her through every room downstairs but don’t take her upstairs because I don’t want to just assume that we’re having sex.

I’m happy just having her in my space. “Can I get you a drink?”

Her eyes widen and her mouth opens, but she quickly closes it. She blinks and shakes her head.

I gesture toward the couch. “Do you want to sit down?”

She sits on the edge of the couch cushion, and she looks nervous, so I take the chair across from her.

I tell myself she’s young and that she’s my teammate’s daughter.

I tell myself that taking her upstairs will complicate everything.

None of it changes the fact that I can’t stay away from her.

Unable to sit this far away, I move to the coffee table and sit directly in front of her so her legs are between mine.

She leans toward me, and I let my hands slide slowly up her outer thighs.

She sighs, and my whole body goes rigid.

I already know we would be good together. “What are you doing here, Nicole?”

Her eyes widen, and she pulls back slightly. “I thought… I mean, I thought we…”

When she starts to stand up, I tighten my hands around her legs, holding her in place. “That’s not what I mean. I’m asking what you want.”

She searches my face before whispering, “You.” The word goes straight through me, and I swear my dick goes stiff.

I want to tell her that if we do this, I won’t be able to hide it from the world forever. I know she isn’t ready to hear that, though. She wants this as much as I do, but I can’t imagine touching her and not thinking of her as mine afterward. “We can wait,” I tell her.

She shakes her head. “No.”

“Nicole.”

“I don’t want to wait.”

I study her face, looking for fear or uncertainty, but all I see is need. “You don’t have to prove anything to me.”

“I know.” She reaches forward and grips my shirt. “I’m not doing this for you. I’m doing it for me and because I want you.”

My control starts to slip, but I hold on to it. “If you change your mind at any point, all you have to do is tell me.”

“I will.”

“If something hurts, you tell me.”

“I will.”

“And if I’m moving too fast—”

She cuts me off by leaning forward and kissing me.

For one second, I don’t move. Then her tongue brushes against mine, and every ounce of restraint I have snaps.

I rise from the coffee table and pull her up with me.

My hands go to her waist, and she wraps her arms around my shoulders.

I kiss her deeply, taking my time even though it’s the last thing I wanna do.

She presses closer, and I can feel her soft curves against me. “Still sure?” I ask against her mouth.

She smiles against my lips. “Yes.”

I kiss her again before bending and lifting her into my arms. She lets out a gasp and circles her legs around my waist. “I can walk.”

“I want to carry you.”

I take her upstairs and set her carefully on her feet beside the bed. I need to see her face and for her to understand that this isn’t something I’m rushing through. My hands settle on her hips. “Last chance to tell me to slow down.”

She reaches for the hem of my shirt and pulls it over my head. “I’m not telling you to slow down.”

My whole body tightens as she runs her palms over me. When her nails scrape against my chest, I catch her wrists and groan. “You keep doing that and this is going to be over before it starts.”

She smiles. “Please… you’re Guy Brody. I know you have more control than that.”

“Not with you.”

I release her hands and reach for the hem of her shirt. “Can I?”

She nods and raises her arms. I pull the shirt over her head and let it fall to the floor. For a moment, I can only stare. Her hands move toward her stomach like she’s trying to cover herself, and I catch them before she can. “Don’t.”

Her cheeks turn pink. The lights are off, but there is a stream of moonlight coming through the open shades. “Guy…”

“You don’t have to hide from me. I want to see you. All of you.”

I kiss her before she can argue. My hands slide down her sides, over her waist and hips, learning every inch of her. When I cup her breasts, she arches toward me with a soft moan. “Okay?” I ask.

She lets out a shuddered breath. “Yes.”

I kiss my way down her neck as I work the clasp of her bra loose. When it falls away, I pull back long enough to look at her.

“Guy.”

“You’re beautiful.”

She shakes her head like she doesn’t believe me, so I show her. I lower my mouth to her breast, and the sound she makes has my knees nearly giving out. I take my time with her, kissing and tasting her until she’s gripping my shoulders and saying my name.

When I lift my head, her eyes are glazed. “You still with me?”

She lets out a breathless laugh. “Barely.”

“That’s not good enough.” I kiss her softly. “Tell me what you want.”

“You.”

“You have me.”

She slides her hands down my chest to my belt. Her fingers fumble with the buckle, and I cover them with mine. “We don’t have to rush.”

I can hear the frustration in her voice. “I’m not rushing; you're just wearing too many clothes.”

I laugh and help her. Once I’m out of my jeans, her eyes widen. I have to bite back a groan at the way she looks at me.

“Still want me?” I ask.

Her gaze lifts to mine. “Yes.”

I reach for the button on her jeans, but I wait until she nods before opening them. I ease them down her legs slowly, kissing the soft skin I uncover as I go. When she’s standing in front of me in nothing but her panties, she looks nervous again. I rise and pull her against my chest.

“You’re safe with me.”

She leans into me. “I know.”

I cup her face in my hands and search her eyes. “Do you? I would never hurt you.”

She says it again. “I know.”

I kiss her lips, and she tilts her head to the side so I can deepen the kiss. I lift her and place her gently in the center of the bed. She watches me as I lie beside her and run my hand slowly down her body.

I don’t rush because I know I don’t want this night to end. I slide my hand between her thighs, and her breath catches.

“Okay?”

“Yes.” She moans.

I stroke her through the thin fabric, and her hips lift toward my hand. The more I touch her, the wetter she gets. I slide her panties down and toss them aside, then return my hand to her.

She grips my arm. “Guy.”

“I’ve got you.”

I touch her slowly at first, watching her face and learning what she likes. When I circle her clit, her eyes close and her head presses back into the pillows. “Look at me.”

Her eyes open.

“That’s it, honey.”

Her body tightens, and I can feel how close she is.

“Don’t stop,” she whispers.

I groan. “I’m not stopping.”

I keep my eyes on her as she falls apart. She clenches the blanket and cries out my name.

I hold her through it, kissing her temple and telling her how beautiful she is. When her breathing finally slows, I brush her hair away from her face. “You okay?”

She nods, still catching her breath. “I’m better than okay.”

I smile and kiss her. She reaches for me, but I stop her hand. “We should talk.”

Her eyebrows rise. “You want to talk? Now?”

I brush a stray hair off her face. “Have you done this before?”
