“Please, please, please, wake up for me. Let me see those pretty green eyes,” I beg as I hold his hand while the doctor treats his injuries.
“Please come back to me.” I look at the end of the table where Dante, Luca, and Sebastian each sit. All of their faces are pale and exhausted. Harper and her guys stand behind them, all of them refusing to leave until they know he’s going to be okay.
I turn to look back at him. Back at my Lorenzo. “Honey…” I raise his hand to my lips and kiss it gently.
“Please don’t die. You can’t die on me. You need to live for me, Honey. For us.”
Lorenzo Santoro can’t die. Because if he dies, then a piece of me will die with him.
