“Decide.”

It comes from Penn, his arms folded over his chest. Carter’s hands are in his pockets, leaning against the wall beside him. It comes off as supposedly less intimidating—and sure, it’s not meant to be. But it fucking is.

I don’t like being ganged up on. As the oldest sibling, I spent much of my childhood being outnumbered by Felix and Daniela. Which is why I let out a rough sigh and run my hand down my face.

“Decide,” Carter says now. “It’s not fair to her. She said she’s not picking. She said she loves us. She loves you, too. Obviously.”

“We can make it work,” Penn agrees. “I’ve already seen you fuck her, dude. It was hot as shit.”

After Sydney and I left the warehouse, I brought her to her dad’s house. I made sure she was safe, settled, and I left again.

We killed Bear. Henry Bernstein. The thought should haunt me—it should make my soul turn black, right? It’s not like letting out frustrations at the rage room. We stuffed him in a barrel, one of the oil ones from the mechanic’s bay, and transported him to the dock. Carried it onto a boat.

Filled the barrel the rest of the way with rocks and water and pushed him in when we got to the center of the lake along with his brother.

For what they did to Sydney?

Worth it.

“Ollie.” Penn steps closer. “Do you want to be with her?”

“Yeah.” Of course I do.

“Then decide if we’re worth it.”

“Decide if she’s worth it,” Carter revises. “I, for one, haven’t seen your dick. I’ve tasted your cum from her cunt, though…”

I glare at him.

He just fucking shrugs.

“We’re basically brothers,” Penn continues. “We took someone out together, you know? There’s not much more that can bind us together.”

Except love for a girl.

“Okay. Okay, I’m fucking in.”

They exchange a look.

“What?” I demand.

“Grand gesture,” they say at the same time.

“Why?”

“Because she thinks you still want her to pick,” Penn says. “You don’t join in our weekly group activities.”

I scoff. “Group activities? There haven’t been…”

Carter raises his eyebrows.

My jaw drops. “What the fuck, guys?”

“Grand gesture,” Carter repeats. “It’s the only way.”

Great.
