Chapter 65
Bianca Ferrucci
The big day had arrived, and unlike the last time, I was walking toward the man I loved.
Even with the aisle of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore decorated with beautiful roses, my eyes were fixed on only one thing: Tiziano.
He was there, waiting for me, his blue eyes so intense they seemed capable of piercing my soul.
The same gaze that had always left me weak at the knees, driven me crazy, and made me forget the world around me.
My heart pounded. The white dress I had chosen so lovingly seemed to fit my body perfectly, highlighting the already visible curve of my belly. I knew all eyes were on me, but I didn’t care. Nothing else mattered except the man standing at the altar.
He looked impeccable in a perfectly tailored black suit, but it was the light in his eyes that held me captive, that made my entire body tremble with the certainty that this was where I was meant to be, walking toward him once again.
When I reached the altar, Tiziano held out his hand to me and kissed my forehead as I approached.
“You look beautiful,” he murmured.
I smiled, unable to contain the happiness overflowing from me. It was a sincere smile, the kind only he could draw from me.
“You don’t look so bad yourself,” I replied with a smile.
The ceremony began, but everything seemed to happen in the background.
My attention was completely focused on him, on the man who had promised to love and protect me, on my child’s father, on the only one who had managed to see who I truly was and defended me without me asking, without me having to tell him everything I had been through in life.
He saw me, he noticed, and he got it right.
When it was time for the vows, Tiziano held my hands firmly, his gaze piercing straight into mine.
“Bianca, I promise to stand by your side through every moment, every challenge. I promise to love you, respect you, and take care of you and our son with everything I am. You are my strength, my purpose, and I want nothing more in life than to have you by my side. Forever.”
I couldn’t hold back my tears, and when it was my turn, I felt my voice catch.
“Tiziano, you showed me that true love isn’t perfect, but it is unshakable. I promise to be your partner, your strength, your family. No matter what we face, I will be by your side. Always.”
When Tiziano leaned down to kiss me, everything around us disappeared. The kiss was sweet, full of passion and promise, and I knew it was only the beginning of the rest of our lives.
Tiziano Constanzo
We hadn’t invited many people. Unlike me, who wanted to shout to the world that Bianca was mine, she preferred something intimate, reserved for family and close friends.
And, as always, she got exactly what she wanted from me.
Bianca wasn’t a woman of frivolous demands, but when something truly mattered to her, I made a point of making it happen.
Not because I had to, but because loving her was the most natural act of my life.
The altar was surrounded by the people who mattered. Carlo stood at my side with his usual calm demeanor. Alessandro was beside Bianca, wearing the protective expression he never let go of when it came to his sister. Marco was there too, still as suspicious of me as I was of him.
My uncle Luigi stood in the back, with his discreet smile, the kind that only appeared on rare occasions but was more visible today.
He had always said I was crazy, but I knew he would support me in everything, even when he disagreed.
Enzo, as always, watched everything with his attentive gaze and the expression of someone who always had a joke ready, though he was much more focused on the women serving at the party.
During the reception, the small celebration continued exactly as Bianca had planned: simple, elegant, and full of meaning.
The tables were decorated with white flowers and golden candlesticks, but what stood out most were the wine bottles with personalized labels.
The name “B. Constanzo” was elegantly engraved on them, representing the first batch of wine Bianca had begun producing under our name.
She had embraced that idea with such passion that I simply supported her.
After all, my winery was rich with grapes of excellent quality.
And that night, the wine was served to every guest, a toast to the beginning of our new life.
I picked up a glass and went to her, where she stood beside Rosa and Alessandro. She laughed at something he said, but when she saw me approaching, her eyes lit up, and everything around us seemed to disappear.
“The wine is perfect,” I said, handing her a glass. “Just have a taste, but don’t overdo it. Our baby can’t get drunk.”
She smiled, that smile that made time stop, and looked at me with an amused expression.
“Of course it is. Everything I do is perfect,” she replied in that teasing tone only she knew how to use. “I don’t even need to taste it to know.”
“And you are perfect too,” I replied, stepping closer to kiss her forehead.
The sound of glasses being raised brought me back to the present, and everyone turned toward me. It was my cue, the moment to say the words that had been lodged in my throat.
“I want to thank everyone who is here today,” I began.
“This isn’t just a wedding; it’s the beginning of something greater, something I had always hoped for without even knowing it.
Bianca...” I turned to her, my gaze locking with hers.
“You are the woman who changed everything. You gave me a reason to fight, to be better, to build something real. And now, with you and our son, I have everything I need.”
The toast was made. Bianca took my hand, intertwining our fingers.
The past had been burned, the wounds were healing, and the future belonged to us. The final chapter was not the end, but the beginning of something even greater. Bianca was mine, and I was hers. And together, we would write a new story.
