Chapter 40
Vayansh's POV:
I poured myself a glass of wine for the nth time. I have been drinking since I left the room after listening to Aarohi.
My mind is messed up right now and I couldn't understand how she got to know about the devil?
I know that she can't find out about it by herself. Someone has been trying to mess with me but he won't be successful.
My other identity needs to stay hidden from Aarohi because it's not the right time to tell her about that side of mine.
She is too soft hearted to understand these things.
Firstly I need to prepare her to take whatever secrets I have been hiding from her.
I gulp the whole drink in one go.
I need to find the fucker who is behind all this and I am 100% sure someone is behind this.
I have a high drinking capacity so I am still sober enough even after drinking that much.
I stand up and make a phone call to find out about this issue. I will bury the bastard alive once I find him.
I called my best hacker and asked him to find out about this then walk back to my room.
As I entered in the room I saw Aarohi sleeping on the bed while half sitting.
I sighed and walked towards her to make her lay down comfortably.
She must have slept while waiting for me.
I softly kissed her forehead then both of her cheeks then nose then finally her sweet, soft lips.
I pulled back when I felt her moving a little but thank God she just stirred and continued her beauty sleep.
I properly covered her by the mattress and slipped in beside her.
As the morning come by Aarohi slowly stir in her sleep. She wrapped her arms over Vayansh in her sleep but find none.
She touched the mattress then slowly growled and opened her eyes trying to wink the sleep away but that growl turned into a frown when she didn't find Vayansh on the bed.
She looked at the clock it's still early morning.
He didn't return last night?
She again looked at the mattress and saw his side a little messy.
So he was here. Where did he go so early in the morning? She thought
She got up and adjusted the mattress then went to fresh up while sulking.
She mumbled 'I wanted to sleep more but my husband dearest ruined my mood now.'
She wore a saree today because firstly she didn't have to go to her college today and secondly or the most importantly she was angry at her husband so what's more fun than teasing your husband when you are angry at him?
She straightly walked towards his home office because either he would be there or in his home gym at this hour.
As she entered the office she looked around for him but he was not there.
She pouted and turned to walk out but her hand accidentally hit a file which fell down.
She looked at the papers scattered on the floor and hit her forehead while mumbling 'stupid.'
She picked up the file and started to collect the papers hurriedly.
Suddenly her eyes stopped on a word written on a page in bold letters 'Arms Shipment'
She looked at that paper carefully and read the content.
She was surprised because it was some contract of Arm shipment.
Why do Vayansh have this contract?
She shake her head and mumbled "These must be for the protection."
But she couldn't believe her words because the quantity was too much to be ordered for just protection.
Suddenly her eyes fall on the place of signature and the paper slipped out of her hand.
There was not Vayansh's sign or his company stamp but a different stamp.. a stamp which shouldn't be there.
Nexus.
The stamp has a logo of a black panther with Nexus written in the middle. Boldly. Powerfully.
The logo remind her of Vayansh's Panther Renox.
She shake her head and hurriedly collect the papers with her shaky hands. She put them in the file back and placed it on the table.
She placed her hand on her forehead and then she realised that she is sweating.
She quickly wiped her sweat and mumbled "No.. It's just a coincidence. Maybe.. Maybe Vayansh is dealing with Nexus that's why it has that stamp. Right! That must be the case. Why am I so scared? Vayansh can never lie to me."
Her heart almost came out of her chest when the door of the office suddenly opened.
She saw Vayansh walked in dressed in a perfectly tailored suit looking as handsome as ever.
He can't be....
No.. I won't think about it.
As he saw her in his office he came towards her and pressed a kiss on her forehead then pecked her lips and asked "Why are you here early in the morning, jaan?"
Her lips suddenly felt too hot and her forehead burn from his kiss. That's the effect he has on her.
She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. Her mind was again and again going back to that contract.
She thought 'Why is Ansh dealing with Nexus? It could be dangerous for him too. I need to talk to him about this.'
"Princess?"
"Huh? Yes?"
"Where are you lost?"
She snapped out into reality and craned her neck up to look at him.
Why is he so tall?!
He was standing close.. too close to her making her breath hitched.
She pushed him away but guess what? She was the one who stumbled back.
'Is he made up of Rock or something?'
Vayansh grabbed her by her elbow and said "What are you doing? Be careful!"
"Uhh.. S..sorry."
"What happened, jaan?"
She shake her head and remembered about why she was here in the first place.
She started to leave from there but he grabbed her waist and pulled her flush into him.
He asked in his husky deep voice "Are you angry at me?"
Her whole body was feeling hot but she ignored the sensation and tried to pull away which he obviously didn't allow.
"So much anger?"
"Where were you last night?" She finally asked.
"I had some work."
She glared at him thinking 'I know your work.'
She sighed and said "I want to talk to you about something serious."
He attentively listen to her and nodded so she continued "Ansh, Don't involve yourself in dangerous things or people."
She doesn't know that he is not the one who needs protection from others it's the other way around.
He is the walking danger himself, What could be dangerous for him?
Vayansh confusedly asked "Is something wrong?"
She nodded and asked "What is Nexus, Ansh?"
Vayansh tightened his hold on her waist and his face hardened.
He said controlling his voice "Didn't I told you to stop searching about all this?"
"Why don't you want to talk about this?"
"Why do you want to talk about this?" He asked raising his voice a little.
Aarohi frowned and said "I just want to know because I want you to be safe. I don't want you to be involved with any such people because it's dangerous."
Vayansh didn't said anything he just stared at her then softly cupped her face and said "I am safe and sound, jaan. Don't worry too much for me, Ok?"
She sighed and mumbled "Of course I will worry for you."
He pulled her in a deep slow kiss to ease her worry.

Everyone in the Rathore family were busy in their works but here our Aarohi was slowly sneaking into Vayansh's office.
But why?
The whole day she was just thinking about the contract that she was not even able to focus on her lectures so here she is again in his office.
Vayansh went to his office in the morning and there is still some time till Vayansh will be back.
Aarohi walked straight to his desk and tried to open a drawer but it was locked.
Aarohi mumbled "Shit! Why is it locked?"
She looked on the table for the keys but didn't find any so she sighed and started to look into his shelves for any clue but the shelves just have many and many books.
She scratched her head in frustration then she again moved to the drawers and decided to check if any one of them is not locked.
She tried the first three drawers but they were locked then another and it was also locked so she irritatedly hit her hand on the table.
She tried another drawer and it was thankfully not locked. She smiled triumphly and opened it immediately but her smile vanished when she saw what was inside.
Her eyes widened and she looked at it in belief.
She slowly picked it up from the drawer with her shaky hands.
It was a Gun..
A golden gun..
'What is a gun doing in Vayansh's office?' she thought.
Her mind was racing in different directions giving reasons for why a gun is here but she doesn't want to accept any of them.
She has never held a gun in her hand and holding it right now seems too intimate for her.
Her eyes never left the golden gun as her shaky hands still held it like it would shoot her if she did anything wrong.
She turned the gun to see the other side of it where V.S.R is engraved in bold letters with a crown increasing its power more.
Before she could see the other side the gun was snatched out of her hands startling her.
She turned and saw Vayansh standing there and she heard him say "What are you doing here Aarohi?"
His expressions were composed but serious not how he usually is whenever Aarohi is around because inside he was fuming after seeing Aarohi holding his gun.
Aarohi didn't reply instead she was looking at his hands which don't have the gun he snatched from her. She looked at the table but didn't see any sign of a gun.
Vayansh grabbed her by her arms and shook her slightly and called out "Aarohi."
As if she came back to her senses she whispered "Huhh? Ansh.."
She looked into his eyes, many thoughts ran over her head.
'Is he really connected to Nexus? No! Ansh can't hide something so huge from me. He can't.' She thought while still looking at him.
Finally gathering the courage she asked "Ansh.. Why do you have a gun?"
Her voice came as a whisper which he was barely able to hear.
But he did. He always did.
