Chapter 43
Author's POV :
The guards standing outside part way for Aarohi when she ran out of the warehouse while crying.
They thought of catching her but they know better than making a move because they knows by now that she is someone important to their boss.
If she was not than she wouldn't have walked away alive after whatever she did.
They were all shocked because till now they believed in the rumours about their boss like everyone else.
There are rumours like the devil don't love anyone, not even his family. He doesn't even have a weakness which makes him unbeatable.
But that rumour sounds so wrong right now when they have witnessed a scene which no one would believe to be true.
There, Aarohi sat in the car and wiped her tears which keep falling again and again.
She quietly mumbled "I.. I have to think straight."
Finally after a few minutes of sitting in the car she started the car when she made the hardest decision of her life.
"I can't be so selfish. I have to think of everyone." She said to herself.
When she reached the place she was driving to, she ran inside and said "I.. I want you to write a complaint."
Yes, She went to the police station..
The officer asked after seeing her condition "Yes mam. Calm down. What happened?"
"I.. I.. witnessed a murder and I also have an evidence against it."
The officer got serious and told her to tell him in detail while he wrote it down.
Aarohi took out her phone with shaky hands and played the video she recorded and showed it to him.
The officer watched the video and sweat started to form on his forehead.
He was silent after watching the video than said after a long pause "Uhm.. Alright. We will see what we can do?"
Aarohi was not convinced by the way he spoke. She knew he was scared, scared of the devil.
She can't believe she used to love a devil.... Unfortunately she still do.
But he needs to understand what is wrong, is wrong.
So she asked the police officer "Why? When I have all the evidence than what are you waiting for?"
"Look ma'am, Don't teach us our job. I told you we will look into the matter so please leave."
Aarohi looked at him in disbelief seeing how corrupted everyone here is.
She said "I get it. You all are already sold so why would you help a commoner like me? They are giving you money, right?"
The officer stands up and said "Enough. We love our life and if you also do than leave this matter here. Guards! Escort the miss out."
Aarohi walked out on her own as she heard that.
The air was cold right now as it was already night. She shivered but decided to leave the car as it belongs to Vayansh. She don't want anything his near her right now.
She don't know where to go now. She can't go back to the mansion after whatever happened.
She don't want to face him.... see him.
She laughed between her tears as she walked to God knows where.
She thought 'How can I believe that I got my happily ever after? How can I stay with a man who touches me with the same hand he kills with? What can I expect from him when he didn't find it necessary to tell me the truth? Even when I asked.'
No one told her anything about the other side of their life. Not even Arnit or Kashvi? Do they even know?
She sat near a tree when she was tired and rest her head on the bark of the tree closing her already aching eyes.
After a few moments, She opened her eyes and looked around when she heard a muffled sound. The sound was coming from behind the tree so she went to see and her heart warmed seeing a small puppy.
He must be just of few months as he was so small. She took him in her arms when she saw how much he was shivering from the cold.
He looked weak and tired. He made a sound when she pet his head softly.
She hugged him to her body trying to provide some heat to his shivering body.
She softly said to him "You know you are just like me right now, pup.. alone, cold and tired of everything. Where is your home? I am also homeless right now, even though I have a home but I can't go there. What about you?"
How stupid of her to think that he would reply.
But the puppy again made a sound making her smile between tears.
She asked "Are you hungry, pup?"
The puppy started to smell her neck making her chuckle.
She said "Let's give you a name!...."
She thought for a minute than said "Vivi? How about vivi? You like that?"
The dog started to wag his tail and barked again.
She chuckled and said "I always wanted to have a pet dog so I thought of that name long ago.. I am glad it came to some use today."
She again said "Let's find a place to stay, right?"
Than she took out her phone to look for a place to stay but as she opened it, It was filled with so many notifications which included many missed calls and messages from Vayansh, Advik, Arnit, Kashvi and even mumma, papa, chacha and chachi.
That family loves her to heart.
She knows they are all worried but she can't reply to anyone of them because she doesn't have the energy to face anyone as she was so hurt and broken right now.
Her body was weak and head hurting from all the wild thoughts.
She ignored all the notifications and looked for a decent place to stay as she was so tired.
She looked into her purse and find the card given by Vayansh which she kept back and grabbed another card given by her father. It had enough cash to sustain her for a few days.
She went to the nearby motel to eat and sleep for the night. She feed the puppy but was not hungry herself so she just took a few bites and decided to retrieve to the bed.
~~~~~~~~
On the other hand, Vayansh was so furious that he could kill someone again. He was driving around the city in such a high speed breaking all the rules.
He was driving because he wanted to keep his hand and body busy so that he won't go and drag Aarohi back to him.
His body was shaking from anger but there was also a glimpse of hurt hidden beneath the layers.
Suddenly his phone rang which he ignored but irritatingly picked up the call when it kept ringing.
It was Advik.
"Advik I am not in the mood to talk right now." He said and was about to hang up when Advik speak.
"Bhai, Listen to me. I don't know if it's important but it's something strange."
He speed up the car and said "Speak."
"Your manager told me that he received a call from the local police authorities stating that someone came to them to file a complaint against you that too with some evidence.
What surprised me more was that someone is a she, a woman, Bhai.
I can't believe that no one caught her recording or how did she managed to escape after that?
" Advik confusedly narrated the whole incident which was strange to him because no one can escape the devil.
There are no chances that she didn't get caught by the guards.
Vayansh sighed hearing him and rubbed his forehead with a hand than said "Leave the matter, Advik. It was me who let her go."
"Huh? But why-" Before he could complete Vayansh hung up the call.
He mumbled "Really, jaan? Police?"
He called his best hacker who picked in a single ring "Boss."
"Rey, Track the number I am sending you."
"Just that?" He was surprised that his boss was giving him such an easy task which is meant for a beginner hacker.
"I don't have time Rey. Just do your job."
"Yes boss."
In just 5 minutes he send Vayansh the location of Aarohi which was showing a motel so he drove there.
He walked inside to the reception area as he hurriedly parked his Mac Laren.
It was a motel, not so big and had a small reception area where a man was standing to whom he showed Aarohi's photo and asked "In which room no. is she staying?"
The man replied "Oh this beautiful lady, Sorry sir but we can't share these information for safety purpose. If you know her than call her out to confirm."
His anger spiked again as he warned him "Call my wife any names again and I will fucking kill you."
Vayansh was already angry and if he didn't get what he wants normally than he would resort to the other option, which is violence.
The man was so uncaring as he teased "If she is your wife than why is she here instead of being with you?"
He laughed but stopped awkwardly when saw Vayansh's already darken face.
Vayansh didn't thought twice and pulled out his gun pointing at the man who now looks like he would piss in his pants.
"Will you fucking speak now?" Vayansh asked.
"S..sir.. You... you can't.."
He cut himself out when he saw Vayansh turned off the safety of the gun and instead stuttered "Room.... N..no. 32."
Vayansh didn't wait for a second as he moved towards the Rooms. Before he could turn he heard someone say to the receptionist "What were you thinking? He was Vayansh Singh Rathore, The king."
Vayansh knocked on the Room no. 32 and Aarohi Opened the door but as she saw who was at the door she quickly slammed it shut.
But who are we kidding here, before Aarohi could close the door Vayansh interrupted it by keeping his hand on the door and opened it forcibly.
He stepped inside and closed the door behind himself.
Aarohi looked at him with anger in her eyes and almost shouted "LEAVE."
Vayansh slid his hands in his pocket as he looked at her and said "You looks cute when you are angry."
"Vayansh I am not in the mood to joke or talk. Hell, I don't even want to see you so please leave." Aarohi said while pointing at the door.
Instead of walking towards the door he took calculative steps towards Aarohi making her step back.
"Wh..what are you... doing?" She stuttered.
She continued to step back until she hit the wall and Vayansh taking that opportunity trapped her between himself and the wall.
Vayansh was towering our her making Aarohi's breath hitched.
He moved closer and Aarohi held her breath thinking he is going to kiss her but instead he moved to whisper in her ear.
"Are you so desperate to leave me?" He whispered.
As if she came back to her senses she pushed him away but he didn't moved a bit so she replied "YES."
Chills ran down her body as she saw his eyes darkened.
He asked "You wants me behind the bars?"
She flinched hearing those words coming out of his mouth. Yes, she thought to do that and even tried but now she understood what she was going to do.
It would have broken her heart to see him suffer but without showing him any weakness she answered "Why not?"
He continued "And you think anyone in this world is capable enough to do that?"
"You are not above the law Mr. Vayansh Singh Rathore."
"I AM. I don't follow these stupid laws. I bend them according to my wish."
She flinched hearing his deep and controlled voice which Vayansh noticed and his eyes soften.
He control his anger and gently cupped her cheeks.
"Sweatheart, Let's talk things out, Hm?" He implied.
She wanted to lean into his touch but she removed his hands with heavy heart and shook her head.
"There is nothing to talk, just leave me ALONE!" She said.
"Fine." He replied which shocked her as she was not expecting him to agree.
The back of her eyes itched as tears started to form in her eyes but she didn't dare cry.
Maybe it is for the best.
