Epilogue

It had all happened quickly. Elspeth, for all her charms, wasn’t much of a sleeper, although she was very useful when it came to softening-up Drew’s parents. They agreed immediately to a loan, just as Sarah had known they would, and the house was on the market before Elspeth was a month old. It was now just a waiting game. Waiting for the right place to come along and waiting for the right person to discover their house. Fortunately, they had a few things – besides the three children – to keep them occupied in the meanwhile.

‘The cover looks good. Don’t you think the cover looks good?’ Drew ran his hand over the screen like it was something more tangible than pixels on a piece of glass.

‘The cover looks good. Nelly has done a great job,’ Sarah agreed. ‘It all looks good. Are you sure you’re ready? No last-minute changes you want to make?’

Drew shook his head. ‘Nope, this is it. Adventures of an Air Hostess, Book One: The Hostess Hits Halkidiki is going live.’ His grin was contagious. Even if the whole thing had been ridiculous, it was worth it to see that grin. ‘Do you want to press Publish ?’

Sarah shook her head. ‘You do it.’

‘We do it together?’

It was probably a bit silly, both of them there, their fingers on the touchpad of the computer, ready to press, but there they were.

‘Three, two, one…’
