30.

Sita kisses Tara’s head softly and quickly runs upstairs toward her room. Tara stands there, watching her best friend disappear up the stairs, worry filling her eyes.

“Sita ke Kanha ji, sab thik kar dena aap” she prays silently under her breath.

(Lord Krishna, please fix everything)

Sita enters the room, her chest rising and falling a little heavily as she breathes. She has just returned from the temple where she went to pray for his safety.

Fear sits heavily inside her heart. Light dark circles rest under her eyes, making it clear that she has not slept or taken proper rest for days. Her face shows frustration and anger mixed with deep worry.

Her eyes quickly move around the room, searching for him but he is nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly, the closet door opens. He walks out, wearing a fresh pair of clothes. His hair is slightly damp, as if he has just washed it and exhaustion clearly shows on his face. The moment his eyes fall on her, a wave of calmness passes through his tired gaze.

“Kaha the aap kal se?” she asks the moment she sees him, her voice slightly loud and trembling with emotion.

(Where were you since yesterday?)

He blinks once, slightly surprised by her sudden question and slowly takes a step closer to her.

“Busy with work” he replies quietly, his eyes fixed deeply on hers. From this close distance, he can clearly see the fear hiding inside her eyes.

She glares at him, her eyes refusing to leave his for even a second. There are countless questions storming inside her mind, questions she desperately wants to ask him. Her heart aches painfully and she knows that only he has the power to calm this chaos inside her.

Slowly, she walks toward him and stops right in front of him, standing closer than necessary. The distance between them almost disappears. Her heart thumps loudly inside her chest, beating so fast that she can almost hear it herself.

Every time she stands this close to him, she feels like she might lose control over her own mind and the intense way his eyes remain locked with hers only makes it harder for her to breathe normally.

“Pareshan lag rahi hai aap” he asks slowly, lowering his face a little so his eyes meet hers.

(You look worried)

She lifts her gaze from the ground and her eyes meet his. She didn't realize that her eyes are filled with tears. Only her eyes know how many tears they have shed in the past two days for the man standing in front of her.

“Ham aapse kuch puchna chahte hai” she says slowly, gathering all the courage inside her trembling heart.

(I want to ask you something)

He looks at her. The way she is speaking, the hesitation in her voice and the fragile look in her moist eyes are doing something strange to his heart. Only he knows, how deeply her teary eyes are affecting him, or maybe he doesn't.

“Aap jhut nahi bole ge” she says quietly and both of them stare at each other.

(You will not lie)

She knows that after asking this question, he might understand what she feels for him. But she does not care about that right now. The only thing that matters to her in this moment is the peace of her restless heart.

“Aap ki zindagi me… ha...hamare alawa koi aur hai?” she asks slowly and her eyes drop to the ground again.

(In your life… is there someone else besides me?)

She does not want to look into his eyes while asking this. Because if the answer is yes, she knows she will leave this place without thinking twice. She can bear him killing her with his bare hands but she can never bear the thought of him cheating on her with someone else.

“Look into my eyes” he says in a deep, husky voice. He never expects a question like this from her.

Slowly, she lifts her gaze again and looks into his eyes… eyes that are shining strangely today.

“Aap ke alawa na koi tha, na koi hai aur na hi koi aaye ga” he says those words truthfully, his voice calm but firm.

(There was never anyone before you… and there will never be anyone after you. You are the beginning and the end)

A tear slips down from her eyes the moment she hears his answer. This time she does not care if he understands that she likes him or not. His words quietly heal something deep inside her heart, something that has been hurting for the past two days.

His hands slowly turn into fists as he watches the tears fall from her eyes. He knows someone or something must have made her think like this and the thought alone fills him with anger.

He wants to know the reason behind her question. He wants to know who dared to make her doubt him. But right now, he is not strong enough to ask her.

Both of them just stand there, staring at each other in silence. Thousands of unspoken words float in the air between them.

She wants to step forward and hug him tightly, to feel the warmth of his presence. And he… he wants to bury his face in her arms and cry like a tired soul finally finding peace. Lekin wo pyar hi kya jo asani se mil jaye.

(But love that comes too easily is rarely valued)

“Let’s go. I’ll drop you” he says after a moment, straightening his posture. But she slowly shakes her head.

“I’ll come with you today” she says softly. He tilts his head slightly, looking at her with a blank expression.

“Hame fansi par chadhta dekhne ka itna shauk hai aapko?” he says, a dark smile appearing on his lips.

(You want to enjoy watching me walk toward my death sentence so much?)

She closes her eyes for a moment in frustration at his words. When she opens them again, she glares at him slightly before her gaze slowly drops to his hand.

Before he can ask anything, she gently grabs the sleeve of his shirt and pulls his hand up. He freezes.

His eyes remain fixed on her as his heart suddenly begins to race wildly inside his chest. A heart that had felt dead and empty for so long now suddenly begins to beat again.

She quietly takes out the sacred thread she brought from the temple for his safety.

Slowly, she wraps the thread around his wrist while silently praying for him.

Her fingers move carefully, making sure they do not touch his skin even once, she is afraid of making him uncomfortable with her touch.

With deep faith in her heart, she gently ties the knot around his wrist.

He does not stop her. He does not question her. He does not say a single word and simply lets her do whatever she wants.

He does not believe in God, prayers or sacred threads. But the moment she ties it around his wrist, he understands one thing clearly, now nothing in this world would dare to take him away from her.

He doesn't believe in those things but he believes that whatever his feather does will always be good for him. Still, he is not going to accept it, just like she is not going to fully accept her feelings.

“You want me to be safe?” he asks slowly, looking down at the delicate thread wrapped around his rough wrist.

She does not answer. So he slowly lifts his gaze and looks at her face.

“No” she replies flatly. A chuckle escapes his lips at her answer.

“Why are you not doing anything to save yourself?” she asks suddenly. Her voice shakes slightly because today fate is going to play its game… or maybe Zayran Kaalver will.

“They didn’t do any legal procedure. They are all just trying to hang you to death. Why are you not speaking against it?” she says, her voice rising a little louder now.

Anger is clearly visible in her eyes. And the liar's husband simply stands there… silently admiring his wife, who is indirectly worrying and caring for him.

“They aren’t trying to protect the country from me… they are trying to protect themselves from me” he says quietly.

Those words hit her hard. She blinks her eyes slowly as his words echo inside her mind and suddenly many things start making sense to her.

“Aap kuch nahi kare ge?” she asks slowly, her voice filled with fear.

(You will not do anything?)

She herself does not understand what is happening to her. She does not even realize when she starts opening up in front of him like this… when she begins speaking whatever she truly feels for him without holding it back.

“Aap chahti hai ham kuch kare?” he asks.

(Do you want me to do something?)

His voice turns dark, filled with a quiet evilness, not meant for her but for the world outside. Just one word from her… and many people’s fate will change today.

She looks deep into his eyes. For a moment, she says nothing. Her throat feels dry and she gulps slowly before finally nodding her head in yes.

A calm smile slowly appears on his lips.

Sorry, it’s not even her one word that is going to change people’s fate today, but the slight nod of her head that will change the fate of their entire bloodline.

“Go and get ready. We are leaving” he says, taking his phone out of his pocket.

She does not waste a single second. Without saying anything, she quickly runs inside the bathroom to get ready.

He dials a number while his eyes fall on the small idol of her Kanha placed in the room. Grover picks up the call on the second ring.

“There is a change in plan, Grover” he says calmly. Grover stays silent for a moment, slightly shocked by the sudden change but he does not question his boss.

“Okay boss, as you say” Grover says obediently and Zayran cuts the call without another word.

His eyes slowly fall on the sacred thread tied around his wrist. He stares at it as if he has never seen a sacred thread in his entire life.

“Pahli baar hamari biwi ne kuch manga hai hamse. Dena to pade ga hi” he whispers to himself.

(For the first time my wife has asked something from me. I have to give it to her)

He gently presses his wrist against his chest, right over his heart, exactly where she tied the thread. A satisfied smile spreads across his face, as if he has just won the biggest jackpot in the world.

Finally, two liars have started speaking the truth… even if it is only a little.

“Where all of you are going?” Shaurya asks, looking at his entire family as they begin leaving the mansion together.

“Supreme Court” his dadi replies calmly. The youngsters blink in confusion at her answer.

“Why?” Om asks. Dhanraj slowly shakes his head with a dramatic sigh, as if he cannot believe what is happening.

“Akhri baar dekhne Jaa rahe hai tumhare bhai ko” he says.

(To see your brother for the last time)

But the strange happiness hiding behind his voice does not go unnoticed by them.

“Bhai” Rajiv says sharply, almost like a warning. Dhanraj only rolls his eyes and continues walking outside with the others. One by one, the elders sit inside their cars and the vehicles begin to leave the mansion.

The youngsters stand there, watching them disappear.

“Kya bhandare me jaa rahe hai sare ke sare?” Yuv says with irritation. The other three turn to look at him.

(Are they all going to some feast or what?)

“Un logon ka to pata nahi, par tera ye new suit dekh kar lag raha hai tu bhai ki baraat me jaa raha hai” Shaurya says, glaring at him. Yuv only grins shamelessly.

(I don’t know about them but looking at your new suit it feels like you are going to brother’s wedding procession)

“Guys, stop all this drama. And where is bhai and bhabhi?” Ishi asks, fixing her hair properly while looking around.

“Kahi ye dono hame chacha to nahi bana rahe hai?” Om says suddenly.

(What if those two are working on making us uncles?)

The others’ eyes widen instantly with excitement. Shock is the last thing they would feel.

But their dream of becoming uncles shatters into pieces the very next second when Sita walks downstairs… with her tail i mean her husband walking behind her while talking on the phone.

“You go with them” he says to her calmly. She simply nods her head. He walks out of the mansion and sits inside his car.

“Let’s go” Sita says softly. The four of them instantly feel sad hearing her low voice instead of her usual high-pitched one.

Without saying anything, they quietly walk behind their bhabhi and sit inside the car. The vehicle slowly moves toward the Supreme Court.

There are not one, tw, or three… there are more than eight hundred news channels from all around India gathered outside the court.

Cameras are already on. Reporters, media vans, journalists, everyone is standing there, waiting for only one man.

Everyone here knows he is a Sinister Mafia.

Everyone believes he is going to receive punishment for his deeds today.

But while waiting for that moment, they all seem to ignore one thing, how desperate the government is to hang him to death, so desperate that they are almost forgetting the proper legal procedures.

High command officers stand all around the place, trying their best to keep the situation under control. Security forces move here and there, forming barriers and controlling the crowd.

The air itself feels heavy, thick with tension. No one knows what is truly going to happen today. But one thing is clear. Everyone standing here wants him dead.

Sita’s eyes widen as their car stops in front of the Supreme Court. For a moment, her mind stops working. She is not able to think properly after seeing the huge crowd standing outside.

“Bhabhi, don’t panic” Shaurya says softly, already understanding the situation around them.

She slowly nods her head.

One of their guards opens the car door and she carefully steps out. But the moment she does, dozens of cameras flash right in front of her face. Bright lights hit her eyes again and again, making her blink.

Every single head present there turns toward her. Within seconds, reporters rush toward her like hungry lions attacking their prey. Microphones rise in the air, cameras move closer and everyone tries to surround her.

But before anyone can push their microphones near her face, Grover suddenly steps in front of them like a wall.

He starts pushing everyone aside without caring who they are, man or woman. His movements are rough and merciless as he clears the path.

“Move!” he shouts loudly while forcing people to step back and making a way for his madam to walk inside.

Sita tightly holds the side of her dress in her hands and begins walking forward with the others beside her.

“Ma’am, how are you feeling today?”

“Ma’am, why didn’t you stop your husband from doing illegal things?”

“You are the daughter of a police officer, then why did you marry a criminal… or is your own father a corrupt officer?”

“Are you also involved in those crimes along with your husband?”

The reporters throw their questions at her one after another without caring about anything.

And she… she cannot even understand everything properly. Her mind feels numb and their harsh questions only make things worse for her.

She does not look at anyone. She does not answer a single question. She simply keeps walking forward and finally enters inside the building. But even after stepping inside, she can still hear the voices behind her… people talking about her, whispering things about her name.

“Where is he?” Sita asks Grover slowly.

Right now, she is scared to death. She never imagines that the situation will become like this. She already knows that everyone is against him but seeing all of this with her own eyes makes her fear even stronger.

The thought of losing him before she can truly have him feels unbearable. The small hope inside her heart that he will be safe today slowly begins to fade.

“He is coming, ma’am. Don’t worry” Grover says calmly.

She nods her head and slowly walks inside the court gallery.

She sits down in the second row with the four of them beside her. From there, she can clearly see his entire family sitting on the opposite side. Some of them look strangely happy, while a few others look like they are about to lose him again today.

Laksh suddenly walks inside the court with fast steps and quickly sits beside Ishi. He looks slightly breathless, as if he has run all the way here without stopping.

“Everything will be alright. Don’t worry” Laksh says gently to Sita after noticing how frightened she looks.

She nods her head slightly but does not say anything. Instead, she lowers her gaze and silently begins praying inside her heart.

The lawyers sit on one side of the courtroom with thick files placed in front of them. High-rank officers stand in the corners of the room, alert and serious.

Heavy files move from one table to another and quiet whispers fill the air. Again and again, the same name travels through the room in low voices.

Zayran kaalver.

The entire courtroom seems filled with that name. And almost everyone present there looks happy today… happy that he is finally going to receive what they believe he deserves.

The judges walk inside the courtroom and everyone immediately stands up. The judges take their seats on their chairs and a heavy silence spreads across the entire place. The air feels tense. Everyone is holding their breath, waiting for what will happen next.

Suddenly, loud noises erupt from outside the courtroom. The voices grow louder and louder, as if the world outside has suddenly gone mad and everyone is rushing at once.

Sita’s head turns toward the closed door along with everyone else in the room. Bright camera flashes burst again and again outside, so strong that their light passes through the glass panels and reflects inside the courtroom. For a moment, it feels as if the sun itself has come down.

Then, slowly, the chaos fades. The noise outside suddenly turns silent.

After a few long minutes, the courtroom door finally opens. And there he stands.

Two police officers stand behind him. He steps inside the courtroom and for a moment it feels like even the air stops moving.

He is wearing a completely black outfit. A color that might become the color of someone’s fate in a few seconds… or maybe the color of his own fate.

His hair is tied neatly in a half man-bun, with one loose strand falling on his forehead. The faint scars on his face are slightly more visible today and strangely, they only make him look more powerful… almost divine.

He walks forward calmly. Too calmly. As if he is walking to receive an award… not a death sentence. As he walks toward the dock, every single pair of eyes in the courtroom stays fixed on him. Except hers.

Sita is not looking at him. She keeps her gaze fixed straight ahead. And he does not look at her either. Maybe he is afraid… or maybe…

The female judges and lawyers stare at him with clearly impressed expressions. Their faces openly show how attracted they are to his charm. Even in this serious situation, a few of them start adjusting their hair and sitting straighter in their seats.

And all of this does not go unnoticed by his wife. Sita watches them from her place, her jaw tightening slightly. Inside her mind, she is already cursing them in the worst way possible.

Zayran stands inside the dock. One of the lawyers stands up and places a thick file in front of the judges. The media cameras are already recording every single moment happening inside the courtroom.

“Proceed” one of the judges says firmly. The lawyer gulps slowly before opening the file and beginning to speak.

“My Lords, Zayran Kaalver has been operating a vast criminal empire for many years. For him, violating the law was never an exception, it was a habit. Murder, illegal trafficking and running underground businesses have been a normal part of his life. He eliminated anyone who dared to stand against him, without hesitation and without remorse. Over the years, numerous cases were registered against him, yet he always managed to escape justice due to the lack of direct evidence. However, Commissioner Vaghmare and his dedicated team carried out a relentless investigation for months, working day and night to uncover the truth behind his empire of crime. My Lords, the file placed before this honorable court does not contain just a handful of allegations, it contains more than five hundred pieces of concrete evidence against Zayran Kaalver. Detailed records of his illegal trades, financial transactions, organized killings and the locations of his secret operational bases are all documented within these pages. Every document, every report and every piece of evidence directly links him to a long chain of brutal and unlawful activities that have harmed countless innocent lives” The lawyer pauses for a moment, letting his words sink into the silent courtroom before continuing.

“Therefore, My Lords, this is not only the plea of this department or the prosecution. This is the plea of an entire nation that has suffered under the shadow of his crimes. Today, we stand before this honorable court seeking justice. And we firmly believe that the only punishment for crimes of this magnitude is the death penalty. Thank you, My Lords” the lawyer says respectfully before sitting back in his place.

The judges begin to look through the file carefully. Page after page turns slowly in their hands as they examine every record and every detail written inside.

Zayran stands inside the dock quietly. His eyes remain fixed on the ground and it looks as if he is scared.

“Defense counsel, you may present your argument” one of the judges says while adjusting his glasses. Zayran’s lawyer stands up and straightens his coat before speaking.

“My Lords, five hundred documents may sound impressive but numbers do not equal truth. This file does not clearly prove that these crimes were committed by Zayran Kaalver. Without undeniable proof, the court cannot declare a man guilty, let alone sentence him to death” his lawyer speaks with power and confidence.

A few people in the courtroom clench their jaws in frustration, while others quietly curse under their breath at the defense lawyer.

Sita slowly lifts her eyes toward Zayran. He is still standing there with his head slightly lowered. His expression is unreadable… and that itself scares her.

“My Lords, in every single case mentioned in this file, the name of Zayran Kaalver appears repeatedly. His connections are found in every crime, every illegal transaction and every operation described here. These are not random accusations. The investigation clearly shows that he is the central figure behind this entire network of criminal activities” the prosecution lawyer says firmly, clearly wanting the judges to sentence Zayran to death.

“But you don’t have any....” Zayran’s lawyer begins to speak.

“My Lords, the defense is trying to mislead the court” the other lawyer interrupts him sharply. “Every document in that file has been verified” His voice carries anger and determination.

Whispers and murmurs slowly begin filling the courtroom again. People lean toward each other, discussing in low voices. Everything inside the courtroom begins to feel tangled and chaotic.

“Silence” the judges say firmly. Both lawyers immediately stop speaking and sit back in their places.

The judges begin analyzing all the proofs carefully. Page after page turns in their hands. Every crime, every illegal trade, every location mentioned in the file… everything seems clear and properly documented.

“Do you have anything to say in your defense, Mr. Kaalver?” one of the judges asks.

The entire courtroom holds its breath. Every single head turns toward him, waiting for his words, his reaction or even the smallest change in his expression.

Zayran finally lifts his head and looks up from the ground. His face is completely blank.

“Yes, I have” he says. Then his eyes move toward Grover for a brief second. Grover immediately understands what his boss means.

“Every crime in that file… every illegal trade, every place… all of it is true. I admit it without hesitation” he says slowly.

His hand rests on the wooden dock as he lightly taps his fingers on it. The moment those words leave his mouth, the courtroom freezes. Everyone’s eyes widen in shock.

Sita tightly clutches the fabric of her dress in her hands. Her fingers tremble badly. She cannot understand what is happening anymore. Right now, she only wants one thing, to see him safe. Nothing else matters to her.

She knows she might be wrong for feeling like this… but for the first time in her life, being wrong feels right. She has started liking him. And the moment she finally admits that truth to herself… he is already slipping away from her.

Before, she wanted to leave him. But now everything feels different.

Now she wants him with her. And she does not even know what she will do without him.

She cannot fully understand the fear growing inside her heart.

She may refuse to accept how deeply she wants him… but her heart already knows the truth.

And that same heart is slowly breaking into pieces as she watches everything turn against him.

Before she even realizes it, a tear slips from her eye and falls on her hand. And that small moment does not go unnoticed by her husband.

Even though he is standing there, only a few fucking steps away from what everyone believes is his death, his eyes still find her. He watches her quietly, noticing every action, every tiny expression on her face not wanting to miss even a single sign of her care for him.

And she once said he does not care about her.

Even in this terrible situation, his attention remains fixed on his wife.

“So you admit that you have committed these crimes. In that case, this court....” one of the judges begins to speak. But Zayran cuts him off in the middle without caring about anything.

“I admitted that the crimes are real… but I never said they are mine” he says calmly. A loud gasp echoes through the courtroom.

The commissioner, a few members of his family, the media and even the judges look at him with slight fear and shock visible in their eyes.

Slowly, Sita lifts her gaze and looks at him. And the small hope inside her heart… is still alive.

Grover hands Zayran a thin file. Zayran takes it without any hurry. His fingers close around it calmly as if he is holding something meaningless. Then he carelessly throws it in front of them on the table not caring about the tension filling the courtroom.

The judges glare at him with clear irritation, their brows tightening in anger but does he care?

“These papers show who actually owns the illegal workplaces mentioned in that file” he says slowly. His eyes move across the courtroom before settling on the judges again.

“They also contain the names of the people who committed those crimes. If you look closely at the file you claim is mine, you’ll notice different names appearing in different records” He pauses for a moment, letting his words sink into everyone’s mind.

“That’s because those crimes were committed by different people…

all of them my enemies. That file does not contain my crimes.

It contains theirs. Compare both files carefully and you will understand who the real criminals are” A calm smile appears on his face as he finishes speaking, making everyone in the courtroom even more confused.

The judges immediately begin looking through both files carefully. As their eyes move across the pages, shock slowly spreads across their faces. Their expressions change so clearly that it makes everyone in the courtroom curious and restless.

Murmurs start spreading among the people. Everyone grows impatient. Every single person wants to know what is written inside those files and how Zayran is not the real criminal behind all of this.

But the most scared person right now is the commissioner. His face slowly loses color as he watches the judges reading those papers. Sweat gathers on his forehead as fear begins crawling inside his chest.

After several tense moments, one of the judges finally looks up.

“After looking at both files, it is clear that the crimes mentioned are real. However, there is no proof that these crimes were committed by Mr. Kaalver. The records clearly show that different people are responsible for them… but not Mr. Kaalver” the judge says firmly.

The moment those words leave his mouth, shock spreads through the courtroom. Eyes widen. People stare at each other in disbelief, struggling to process what they just heard.

“My Lord, don’t be fooled by this. This is all his plan. He is simply playing his game” lawyer says angrily as he suddenly gets up from his seat. His chair scrapes loudly against the floor as he stands. His face burns with anger and his eyes are fixed on Zayran with pure hatred.

“You can’t ignore the proof now. My client is innocent and nothing can change that” Zayran’s lawyer says confidently. A proud smile spreads across his face as he straightens his coat.

His calm confidence only makes the commissioner and lawyer glare at him even harder, their jaws tightening in frustration.

“But my Lord, we can’t...” the lawyer begins to argue again, his voice rising with desperation.

The judge immediately raises his hand, silencing him before he can finish his sentence. The courtroom falls quiet again.

“As there is no solid evidence proving that Zayran Kaalver committed these crimes, this court declares him not guilty and he is free to leave. The court also orders the authorities to arrest the individuals whose names appear as the actual criminals in these records, conduct a full investigation and ensure they receive punishment according to the law” the judge declares firmly.

The moment his words echo through the courtroom, chaos erupts everywhere. Gasps spread across the room. People begin whispering loudly to each other. Some stand up in shock while others stare at Zayran in disbelief.

Not a single soul expected this case to end like this. Not a single person imagined that everything would turn around so suddenly.

Everyone is still confused, their minds struggling to understand what exactly Zayran showed in those files. How does he walk free when the file clearly contains illegal work and criminal locations connected to him? How does everything change within minutes?

No one in the courtroom is able to think properly anymore. Confusion spreads everywhere like a storm.

“Court is dismissed” the judges say as they get up from their seats.

He turns directly towards her. She is already looking at him, her heart shaking because of the overwhelming emotions inside her chest.

He winks at her with a playful smirk on his face, his eyes shining with mischief and confidence. Feeling flustered under his gaze, she quickly looks away and gets up from her seat.

Everyone starts walking towards him, some lawyers and other people trying to speak with him but he ignores all of them and walks straight towards his wife.

Before moving out, he turns his head slightly and looks at the commissioner and his team members with an innocent smile playing on his lips.

Sita walks outside the court with her four...no, sorry...six bandars. All of them walk ahead of their bhabhi and madam, forming a protective wall around her. They protect her from the media reporters and the crowd waiting outside.

The reporters are already shouting loudly, throwing questions again and again, even though they still have not come out of the court building.

Zayran walks behind her and slowly wears his shades.

“Sir, how did you prove yourself innocent?”

“What proof do you have that you didn’t commit any crime till now?”

“You are a criminal, everyone knows it, sir. But how do you save yourself every time?”

The questions come one after another without stopping. Everyone pushes each other, falling over one another, getting pressed together like garlic being crushed under a garlic presser.

Zayran’s guards do not let anyone touch their madam not caring about their boss because He doesn’t need protection. Protection needs him.

He walks proudly behind his wife like a victorious husband. Not because he saves himself… but because he gives his wife exactly what she asks from him.

She sits inside the car and takes a deep breath, thanking her Kanha multiple times in her heart. The moment he sits beside her, the car door closes and the outside noise slowly fades away. Grover starts the car and it begins to move smoothly through the road.

“How?” she asks softly. That single word leaves her lips because her confusion is still not clear at all. Her eyes are full of questions as she turns towards him.

“Your file has everything against you. Every crime of yours and everything… then how did this happen?” she asks, her voice filled with urgency. She wants to hear the answer. She wants to know the truth as soon as possible.

“You really think that I will keep a file of my illegal records?” he says calmly.

She blinks her eyes slowly, looking at him with pure confusion, clearly showing that she does not understand what he means.

“There were records and information about crimes and in a way it looked like they all were mine” he continues in a calm tone.

“But actually, they all belong to my enemies. Every single crime my enemies do, their hidden places, their details… everything written in that file. And the file I gave there also has proof that none of those crimes are mine” Her mouth slowly falls open in shock.

He doesn’t even realize it but he starts explaining everything to her whenever she is confused, instead of ignoring her confusion like he usually does with others.

“T..that means… you expose your enemies’ information not yours?” she asks carefully. He nods his head slowly.

“Matlab agar mai wo file chura bhi leti to mera popat ho jata” she whispers to herself, still processing everything.

(That means even if I had stolen that file, I would have made a fool of myself)

For the first time, she truly pheels intelligent… oops, sorry, she is intelligent.

“But why do the commissioner and the others not realize that those crimes are not yours?” she asks again, turning towards him with deep curiosity shining in her eyes.

“I make that file in such a way that anyone who sees it will think and believe that it contains my records not my enemies’” he says calmly.

He takes out his cigarette and is about to light it but suddenly stops. Sita has already covered her mouth and nose with her hand, clearly uncomfortable with the smoke.

Without saying anything, he quietly puts the cigarette back in his pocket. Grover coughs lightly from the front seat, trying very hard to control his laughter.

“What will you do and how....” Sita starts speaking again, her curiosity rising once more but he immediately stops her.

“Let your little brain rest for a moment” he says casually. She nods her head obediently and closes her eyes, leaning back against the seat.

Wait… did he just call my brain little? she thinks suddenly. Her eyes open quickly and she turns towards him, ready to argue but she stops when she sees him talking on a call.

“Shant, Zayran ki biwi. Usne little brain to kaha… tum to brainless ho” her subconscious whispers.

(Calm down, Zayran’s wife. At least he called it a little brain… you are actually brainless)

She takes a deep breath, trying very hard not to kill her own self in frustration.

As the car moves slowly towards the mansion, many things start changing. His behaviour changes… even if only slightly. He now knows about her care for him.

And she… she finally realizes how afraid she is of losing him.

And from this moment on, everyone who stands against them is going to pay. One person has already paid the price by losing his daughter.

A man who plays such dangerous games that no one can even imagine them… and even if someone imagines them, they will not be able to take their next breath.

But the woman sitting beside him... she is the one who can change everything for him. She will change him. Or maybe… she will come under his spell.

And the beginning starts from now.

A journey of a Sinister man… and the biggest Sin he has ever done.
