Only with my eyes did I ask something of him.
And he knew. Like I knew he would. Only with my eyes did I ask him for one last moment to call ours before time erases it all.
Before I erase it all. Because as much as I would choose Rafe in a heartbeat, I choose me too.
I can’t be the woman I need to be for him unless I’m that woman for me too.
And at no point did I ever have to explain this.
At no point did I have to explain how I know he could love me back to life, but I have to love me back to life too.
He just knew.
Knew what I have to do. Sacrifice.
He chooses me. And he wants me to choose me too.
That’s how I’m certain this man is different. For me. For the world.
This man… is my person.
All I need to do is cherish our last moments together before putting my faith in the Fates that they’ll bring me back to him.
