Chapter 6 #2
“It’s not a problem, Lily. It comes with the territory. If it’s not your ma, it’ll be someone else.” I run my sweaty palms down my thighs and toss Livianna a wink, topped off with a rockstar smile.
“He’s not lying, Liv. People say the craziest shit around us, and that’s not all they do. Just wait until you come to one of our shows and you’ll see it firsthand.” Bren wickedly laughs and gives me an invisible high five.
I smack my hand in the air and laugh along with him. Greg and John steal a tense glance at one another as Lorna narrows her eyes.
“That will be enough, boys. No talking about devilish touring antics while Livianna is around.” Lorna wiggles free from Greg’s arms and retreats upstairs.
He looks at me and Bren. “Finish jamming so you don’t sound terrible in a month and meet us out on the patio around seven. Cash, you’re welcome to stay the night, but let your mom know what your plans are.”
Greg places his hands on Livianna’s shoulders. “Come on, darling. Let’s run some lines and get your practice in while your mom makes dinner.”
“But it’s the weekend, Daddy. Can I stay and listen to them play?” Livianna swivels around and takes him by the hand. “Please, Daddy.”
“Livianna, you have a packed schedule next week. When are you going to memorize your lines?” His stance begins to cave.
He’s gonna give in to her, and I don’t blame him. I would too because she’s that good at getting you sucked into her every wish.
“I promise to practice my lines all weekend. And if you say yes, I won’t complain once about my tutoring for the rest of the month.” She presses her palms together in a praying position and pleads with her eyes, even drawing out a fake tear to trickle down her cheek.
“That’s a big promise, darling.” He peers into her eyes and then brushes away her lone tear. “You got yourself a deal, but if you break it, there will be consequences.”
“Thanks, Daddy. I love you.” She whips around and jumps onto the huge square sectional couch as her pops shakes his head.
He knows he just got suckered into that. How could he not? She is a child actress. From what Bren’s told me, she’s one of the best. In my opinion, her pops should’ve known better.
She flops onto her belly and stretches out while she bends her elbows so she can rest her chin in her palms. Her shirt gets pulled down in the process, and the top portion of her tits protrudes over the hem.
How the fuck is she only fourteen?
“Carry on then. We’ll see you around seven.” Greg runs up the stairs, taking two at a time.
“Liv, keep quiet as we play.” Bren tightens a string on his guitar. “Cash, you stay on piano.”
“We’re practicing the same set as we have all week?” I peek through the opening of the piano lid to where he’s standing.
“Yep. Our first ride as Ur Boyz is in less than a month. I know you’re tight, but you and I have to be in sync.” He strums on the strings.
“We sure do.” My fingers find the keys.
We practice our asses off, all while I fight myself from staring at Livianna’s tempting pleasure clouds. She licks her lips or bats her lashes when I steal a glance.
I think she’s doing it to torture me. She’s a naughty little Lily, I’ll give her that.
She knows I’m a sixteen-year-old boy with raging hormones that own my dick, yet she lies on that gray surface and lets me imagine my face between her luscious curves. We play this agonizing game for over an hour.
“I’ve gotta take a piss.” Bren removes his guitar and hangs it on the wall. “I’ll be back in a second. There’s water in the fridge over there if you need it.”
“Thanks. I think I’ll grab some.” I swing my legs around the bench.
I turn to the bar, needing relief from the emotional turmoil the overwhelming desire to be with his sister caused. I’ve got to be losing my mind. It’s insane to be feeling this way.
He disappears down a hall as I push off to retrieve a beverage. “Lily, would you like something while I’m over here?”
“Sure. I’ll take a lemonade.”
As I round the bar and stroll to the fridge, she jumps onto a stool and faces me. “I’ve got to tell you, Callum. I could listen to you sing for the rest of my life and never get sick of it.”
“That’s a relief to hear.” I open the door and grab a water bottle and a can of lemonade, wondering how the fuck that just slipped out of my mouth.
It appears I’m a weak, lovesick kid over here. This girl is gonna get me in trouble one day. I know it because it’s sitting like a rock in the pit of my stomach. I slide her the can while I unwillingly get pulled into her gripping stare.
“Why is that a relief to hear?” Her perfectly manicured hot-pink nails dig under the metal tab of her aluminum can.
As it snaps open, fizz splatters up and lands on her upper lip. Her tempting tongue slides over it as she licks them clean and my heart combusts.
My gut clenches and I groan. I actually groan out loud.
That’s not enough to expose how incapable I am of hiding my feelings from her because my dick stirs and disobeys my will to keep it down.
It’s at full mast in an instant. I step behind the counter to hide my out-of-control hard-on. My cheeks heat as I lean toward her because I’m seriously losing all my game.
I push my water bottle to the side and rake my teeth over my bottom lip. “It’s good you can listen to me sing forever because you and I are gonna wind up together…forever. You’re not just any other Lily. You’re my Lily, and she doesn’t wilt and fall away.”
“Oh,” she breathes.
My eyes burn into hers. “You, my Lily, will sway in the wind as beautiful as ever and wait for me. When your parents give us the okay, I’ll lock in my promise with the best kiss you’ve ever had.”
Bren clears his throat, causing me to jump out of my skin. I look up. His eyes shoot daggers into mine as soon as I make eye contact with him.
His hands are on his hips and his face is fire-red. It’s now I realize I made one of the stupidest mistakes I could make.
“Aw, fuck no, bro. Why you saying shit like that to my sister? You know you can’t be doing that with her, Cash. Or maybe you have a fucking death wish. Is that it?” He jerks his flexed chest toward me. “Do ya?”
