Chapter 8 The Berkin Village
A young man is nervously walking towards the direction of his destination while carrying a large bag of charcoal in his back.
There was no sound of an owl, not even crickets, on the route which is weird.
He was sweating profusely as a result of his worry of being a wolf or bear's next meal.
Especially that rumors in the village about wild beast are fresh.
A sudden burst of wind from behind causes him to stop.
He turned around to check his surroundings. The sky was clear, and the moon was shining brightly. The moonlight makes everything visible, but the young guy saw horror. He could see a six-foot-tall shadow in front of him, staring at him with hungry eyes.
"ARGHHHHH!"
Morning at the Marquess Mansion
*Wind blows*
I'm pretty sure those are not wolves or a freaking bear. The influence of the evil black mist is slowly spreading. There might be monsters lurking around in that village. Should I go to that village to find out?
I looked down, and I saw my brother looking at me strictly.
I slowly climb down from the tree and face my angry brother.
He adjusts his clothing and looks at me, "Father told me to bring you to the temple, when I visit there."
The Spades are so impatient, their blood lust of killing the Téras are at its peak.
(Téras – (also known as 'Black Minions') a former human being that was infected by the black mist and became monsters that feeds of human flesh and blood. They are tall and black like shadow, blood lust eyes and with fangs.)
Why, of all locations, would the Téras come in the Berkin Village? The dark forest is too far for them. Could someone be responsible for these incidents? Not just a coincidence, is it? Why, then, Berkin? Why the Mullens Family's Land?
Someone is controlling the Téras; I'm certain that the barriers were strong enough to stop them from entering the kingdom.
The culprit wields power comparable to mine by allowing those monsters to enter the village.
If my instinct is right, there are people planning to overthrow the royal highness.
The people will panic if they confirm that it was the Téras who attacked the people in the Berkin village. They will question the power of the king for not being able to keep his people safe. Then some aristocrats will try to take advantage of this and choose their new king.
Then, to successfully do that, there will be a great Téras attack soon in the Berkin Village.
(Queen's Castle is an underground fortress in the forest where witches, demons, goblins, and other wicked creatures hide out. It was called Queen Castle because it was controlled by the most powerful witch, who went by the title of Queen.)
*crackling electricity*
*growls "GAGHHHHH"
*thunder*
*slap* Hillary slapped Victor.
Hillary and Victor are childhood friends; they were both saved by the queen from getting killed.
In the past, the two were both slaves of a well-known aristocrat; however, they were both abused.
That's why they did a horrible thing, the two have both been warranted for killing an aristocrat, and only the queen can save them from their pursuer and so they made a contract with the devil itself.
Damien von Caster was a formidable and dangerous warrior from the Kingdom of Egon.
He was betrayed by his own blood, and the Queen took him in after demanding his allegiance.
He has pale skin, dark eyes, rosy lips, and hair that is as dark as the night.
He constantly dons a black cloak and gloomy attire, like an angel of death.
Only the queen can help him in his current quest for vengeance against those who wronged him. That's why he keeps aiding the Queen.
At last! The praying is done! It was exhausting kneeling down for like an hour.
They have so many rituals, what a headache!
We were just visiting the temple and we did a lot of things that I'm not familiar of.
But finally we're out! Freedom indeed! I spread my arms like I'm a bird who just got out of the cage, while looking at the sky feeling the summer breeze of the air. So grateful that I've survive.
My brother then enters the other carriage and went to the palace. He waves goodbye and I smile. What a sweet brother of mine.
Ollie and I went into the capital to have fun. We visit a lot of shops, eat street foods and play. While we were eating street foods in the middle of the fountain area of the capital someone bump into Ollie.
Ollie fell to the ground, and I quickly helped her. I held her arm and assisted her to stand.
The man stops and faces us. "I don't give a damn, lady." He smirked.
He slowly steps forward, and suddenly his face gets too close to mine.
I can feel his warm breath. Gosh, he smells like sunflowers and roses.
What!? Stop thinking about anything else.
Estelle, you're not a pervert! But I can't deny the fact that he's attractive, though.
He's too manly and enigmatic. Those dark eyes are pretty; it's like hypnotizing me.
I wonder who that guy was, is he a new character or something?
