Special Chapter 3 Luviens Role As a Demon
"I found you."
The last words he spoke to Iris froze everything in that world. Time itself recoiled, the clock ticking backward until reality returned to its beginning.
Luvien stared at Iris's frozen expression. A dark smirk curved his lips as he kissed her—forehead, nose, lips.
Vladimir grinned as he looked down at Lady Estelle's unconscious body cradled in Luvien's arms. "All this time... trapped in this fragile body."
Eshruvienne began arranging the runes and spells to separate Iris and Estelle's souls. Luvien had spent countless years searching across realms, enduring trials that even gods watched with awe and apprehension, for his manipulations had shaken entire worlds.
When Eshruvienne finished, the queen's frozen eyes seemed to pierce Luvien. "Master... what shall we do about her? The Queen's soul is damaged, volatile, and obsessed with you."
Luvien laid Iris in the magic circle. Rising, he drew his sword, Dark Meteor. "Killing her... would satisfy my hatred," he said coldly.
Luvien activated the ritual. Runes blazed, mana surged violently, and the ground shook. Dark Meteor plunged into the earth, cracking it open to reveal a radiant blue light connecting to Estelle's body. Two orbs emerged slowly: one golden, one blue.
The blue orb was Estelle's soul. The golden, Iris's. Luvien lunged for Iris's soul—but a shadow dagger shot from behind. He blocked it, shielding Iris's soul, while Eshruvienne secured Estelle's, preventing the two from merging again.
*Evil laughter*
Luvien swung Dark Meteor, intercepting the shadow's attack on Eshruvienne. "Curse you, Luvien! You may have trapped me in that miserable queen's body, but every time you come close to success... I ruin it!" The shadow hurled a black fireball at him. He dodged, countering, and seized her by the neck.
Luvien's grip tightened. The shadow gasped, struggling. "Did you forget why I do this?" he said, and she released a poisonous gas, forcing him to teleport away.
At the mention of the God of Fate, shadows thickened, the air darkened, pressing on Luvien's heart.
*cough!
Luvien coughed blood. The shadow faltered, then sneered. "Not so mighty anymore... your life is numbered." She formed twin black fireballs, capable of erasing continents.
Before the attack could strike, a chant rang out, dispersing the shadow's assault with a thunderous impact.
"By light, by truth, by peace I call—Let darkness break and swiftly fall. Heaven's power, hear my plea: Corruption fades, made pure and free."
Yehua appeared, shielding Luvien. Gasping, poisoned, he looked to Eshruvienne holding Iris's soul. Desperation flared.
*cough!
"Be veiled and kept through love. Beyond all harm and fear, a hidden realm—safe, warm, and close," Luvien whispered. "My love... I will come for you soon." A tear rolled down his cheek as he sent Iris's soul away.
"By elder word and ward of old, I bind thee fast beyond the fold."
The shadow screamed as she was pulled into a black hole.
She paused, then smiled. "You know me—I will always be with you."
