32. Levi

LEVI

Not much goes on in this place without me knowing about it, and right now, there’s a fucking stranger in our home.

It was bad enough when Aspen arrived here, but now she’s got some guy with her.

I’m standing behind a tree, watching, as they exit the hotel. He has his arm around her waist. They cross the driveway, as though they’re heading toward one of the trails. This guy doesn’t look like the outdoorsy type. He’s around my age, but smaller, skinnier, paler.

No way is he any kind of match for Aspen.

The sight of this little prick with his hands on her sends my blood boiling.

Why the fuck is it bothering me so much?

I shouldn’t care who she’s involved with.

But my gaze is laser focused on the way his hand is on her hip, and I have fantasies about finding a machete and cutting it clean off at the wrist.

I tell myself it’s just because she’s brought someone else here that’s making me so pissed.

What right does she have to treat this place like an open house?

I bet my father said it was okay for him to come here, but what the fuck was he thinking?

How many people has Aspen’s friend told about this place?

It’s not good, him being here, and not only because I hate that he seems to think he has some kind of claim on Aspen.

Has she fucked him? If he’s from her hometown, then yeah, she must have.

The idea of another man’s cock being inside her tight little pussy makes me want to cut off more than his fucking hand.

I hate that this prick knows how she sounds when she comes—assuming he was able to make her come.

He knows her taste, and what her nipples feel like in his mouth.

Has he fucked her in the ass, too? Is she the kind of girl who would allow that—on her knees, with her face pressed down, biting into the pillow because the cock in her ass hurts and pleasures her in equal measures?

Fuuuuckk.

I want to take her like that, too. I want to come in every hole, until my semen is dripping out of her. Until she’s broken and spent and choking on my cum.

I hold myself back, aiming to time things perfectly. Just as they’re about to pass the tree I’m standing behind, I step out directly in front of them, cutting them off.

“Who the fuck is this?” I demand.

I’m several inches taller than the asshole who has his arm hooked around Aspen’s waist, and I make the most of my extra height, stepping in close to the new arrival and balling my shoulders so I’m looking down on him.

“Levi!”

There’s annoyance and a warning in Aspen’s tone.

The new guy glances at her, confused. “Levi? Who the hell is Levi?”

I cock my head at him. “I am, asshole.”

Aspen lets out a sigh and addresses the prick whose hand is practically on her ass. “He’s Blake’s son. Levi, this is Tobias. Tobias, this is Levi. Can you both be nice?”

The man I now know is named Tobias turns to Aspen. “You never told me someone our age was living here, too.”

She shrugs. “I didn’t know when I last saw you.”

I sense tension between the young couple, and I don’t think it’s just because I’m here.

Tobias scoffs. “You could have mentioned it in the last hour since I’ve been here.”

“Yeah, Aspen,” I say, joining in, my tone mocking. “Why didn’t you tell Tobias that I live here, too?” I cock my head, waiting for the answer. I can tell the little prick she’s with is doing the same.

Her cheeks turn a pretty shade of pink. “Because I didn’t want this moment to happen. I already pictured exactly how it would go down.”

I’m enjoying her discomfort. “It wouldn’t have happened if you just told Tobias that I exist. Why didn’t you want him to know I exist? Are you hiding something from him?”

Aspen glares at me, and I do everything I can to contain my glee.

“You know I’m not.”

I step in closer and curl a strand of her hair around my finger, just like she so often does. “We’ve shared some moments together, haven’t we? I’m disappointed they haven’t meant the same to you as they have to me.”

She glances down at where her red lock is coiled around my finger, and understanding dawns in her eyes. She knows I was the one who cut that piece of her hair, but she’s now torn between wanting to create drama while her boyfriend is standing right there and trying to diffuse the situation.

“Don’t be an asshole, Levi,” she says, knocking my hand away.

As much as I might want to cut this prick up into a million tiny pieces, I can’t.

The only other way I can think of him not trying to get in between her legs in the next few hours is to piss him off so much that he packs up his stuff and leaves.

If he thinks she’s been messing around with me while he’s been hundreds of miles away, it might just do the trick.

“You’re hurting my feelings.” I purse my lower lip and shake my head.

“I can’t believe I mean nothing to you. Or have you brought him here because you’re trying to make me jealous?

I get that, and it’s working, too. I’m jealous as fucking hell that this guy has his hand on your ass when it should be me. ”

Tobias’s head snaps toward Aspen.

“What the fuck, Aspen?” His face has turned to thunder. “And you got on my back because I mentioned picking someone up at the bar?”

I cock an eyebrow in Aspen’s direction at that. Is he serious? Has this guy been picking up other girls while she’s been here? Why the hell is she even entertaining him? She could do so much better. Like me, for example. And my dad.

He hurries on. “Not that I did, I’m just saying I could have, if I wanted to. You’re not the only one with other people interested in them.”

“Oh, for fuck’s sake!” She throws up her hands in exasperation. “Nothing has happened between us. He’s just winding you up. Tell him, Levi. Tell him we haven’t done anything together.”

I’m not going to give either of them that satisfaction.

“Seriously, though, dude,” I say to the boyfriend, “if you think she’s got the choice between you and me, which one of us do you think she’s going to pick?

Oh, and you should see the way she looks at my dad.

Like she wants to climb him like a tree and call him ‘Daddy,’ if you get what I mean. ” I throw him a wink.

Taking me by surprise, Aspen plants both hands on my chest and shoves me backward. “Fuck off, Levi! I mean it.”

I manage to stay on my feet, and I move back closer and lower my voice to a menacing growl. “No, tell him to fuck off. This is my home. He’s not welcome.”

“Well, Blake says he is, so tough shit.” She grabs Tobias by the arm and drags him past me. She throws a look over her shoulder as she marches away, still glaring at me.

I smirk in return.

I hope I’ve done enough to start a fight between them. I want him to get in a huff and storm off, ideally in his car and a long way from here.

As long as he doesn’t take her with him.

The thought makes me pause. Dammit. I hadn’t considered that.

I don’t want her to leave.

The thought surprises me. I don’t want her to leave—not just for the next few weeks, or even the winter. I want to keep her around. The thought of Windridge Hall without her suddenly feels like a strange and lonely place. When did that happen?

I noticed Tobias said or did very little to stand up to me, even when I’d accused Aspen of wanting to fuck my dad—which she does. He hadn’t tried to defend her honor. He’s one of those passive guys who’ll talk the talk, but when it comes down to it, won’t take any action.

She deserves so much better.
