Chapter 37

Jayden Allen

L ife is fucking good. In fact, it’s better than good. For once, I have the girl and my hockey career is about to begin.

I roll over, where Willow is still asleep next to me. I lick my lips, taking in every delectable part of her. Olive skin and messy red hair sprayed across her pillow. I drag the covers off us and move closer to her.

We have talked about more kinks we want to explore and I have to say, I was surprised by some of her interests. Now seems like the perfect opportunity to try the first item on her list.

I spread her legs gently, not wanting to wake her. After I position myself between her thighs, I slide Willow’s top up and plant kisses on her stomach. Willow’s chest rises, her limbs moving slowly.

I push Willow’s panties down her leg, throwing them onto the floor. Leaning closer, I hover my lips above her cunt, blowing against her clit. I drag my tongue up her slit, groaning when her arousal hits my tongue.

Willow’s hips jerk, when I trace her clit with my thumb. My touches are short and gentle, bringer her closer to the edge, but she isn’t allowed to come until her hazel eyes are on me. My knuckles glide through her arousal, eliciting a moan from Willow’s lips.

Fuck, I love the sounds she makes when my mouth is on her. I circle her clit with my tongue and thrust two fingers inside her.

“Oh, fuck.”

I glance up, meeting Willow’s molten eyes. “Don’t move, Sweetheart. I haven’t gotten my fill yet.”

Willow moans loud enough for our teammates to hear, but I couldn’t give a fuck at the moment. I thrust two fingers in and out, curling them at the perfect angle. Fuck, I’m obsessed with Willow’s cunt.

Her words are breathless as she whimpers. “I’m so close, Jayden.”

It takes all my self-control to stop, pulling myself up so we are face to face. I reach for the condoms in the nightstand, but she stops me. I tilt my head, confused about why she is stopping me.

“Are you okay? Do you need me to stop?” I ask.

“No,” she pants. “I want you inside me without anything between us.”

My eyes widen, and I swear I nearly come in my pants at her words. “Are you sure?”

“Please. I have an implant and I’m clean.”

“I’m clean too. I was tested at the start of the year.”

Willow wraps her arms around my neck, closing the gap between us. I groan, grabbing my hard length and positioning it at her entrance. Slowly, I slide inside her. Inch by fucking inch.

Willow’s wet heat clenches around me as I thrust harder. She digs her nails into my shoulder blades and I’m thankful for the pain, using it to distract myself from blowing my load straight away.

“You–” thrust. “Are–” thrust. “Fucking–” thrust. “Perfect.” I groan into her neck.

She moves her hips to meet my thrusts. I leave my right hand against her neck. Willow can never look away from my tattoos, especially when they curl around her throat like a necklace.

She was made for me. My left hand moves to her pussy, circling her clit.

A whimper escapes my lips. “Fuck, Willow. Come for me, please.”

She inhales sharply, her back arching and cunt clenching my cock so hard I’m confident I will black out. My balls tingle, lightning shooting up my spine.

I don’t last any longer, pumping into her harder than before. Our breath returns, my nose inhaling the scent of sex. I pull out of Willow, placing a small amount of space between us.

Willow is the first to speak. “That was so fucking hot,”

I laugh. “That’s one way to describe it. Don’t move, I’ll be back.”

I walk to the bathroom, thankful that we decided to sleep in Willow’s room last night. I wet a washcloth with warm water before joining her in bed. I spread her legs, cleaning the mess we made.

After I’m finished, I discard the cloth while Willow goes to the bathroom. She comes back to bed, where I’m waiting. I can’t help but drag her closer to me, tangling our bodies together.

We lay in silence for a moment, until she grabs my tattooed arm. She traces her fingers over each tattoo, and I hold my breath as she edges closer to one I’ve ignored for years.

Willow’s breath hitches, her eyes looking up to meet mine. “Jayden, is this a–” she pauses, her gaze falling back to the tattoo.

“Yes, it’s a willow tree." My heart thumps, eyes lingering on Willow's face. "The red leaves represent both your hair and the fire that burns within you. The fire I’ve been drawn to for years.”

Tears rolled down her cheeks. I reach out to wipe them away. I hate seeing her cry.

“When did you get this?”

“The end of senior year of high school, after that night at the beach.”

It was one of my first tattoos, and I didn’t even hesitate. The willow tree makes up part of my sleeve, while jasmine flowers blooming on a vine intertwine with the tree, weaving up my collarbone and down to my heart.

The rest of my sleeve is filled with various symbols that correlate to an important person.

A surfboard for my dad because surfing was the first love of his life.

A sunflowers for my mum because it was the plant I dug out of our garden when I was seven years and trying to bring a smile to her face.

And finally on my pulse point is pink rose–the only tattoo with colour–because I needed a reminder that Allison will always be with me. Even when I move forward.

I glance to Willow’s quivering lips, a smile forming. She rests her head on my arm, against the tattoo. “I can’t believe I didn’t fall in love with you sooner.”

“That’s okay. My love for you was strong enough to wait until you were ready.” I pause. “Until we were both ready.”

Eventually, we make our way downstairs because even though I would love to stay in bed with her all day, we agreed to meet up with Theo and Jaz to inform them of the good news. I’m sure they already know because our post-win kiss was all over social media.

We enter the lounge room, where some of our teammates are trying to watch a film, while the rest are arguing.

“Hand over the winnings right this instant,” Aiden says, his hand moving in a ‘give me’ motion.

Willow and I look at each other, confusion written on our faces. “What’s going on?” I ask.

Everyone and I mean everyone , replies simultaneously. “Nothing.”

Willow narrows her eyes. “Yes, because that is not suspicious at all.”

I watch her gaze drift to Cooper, a smirk forming on her lips. “Coops, do you have something to tell me?”

I laugh as he tries to fight his instinctive honesty, while receiving glares from our teammates. “All of us put bets on when you and Jayden would get together,” Cooper blurts out. He takes a deep breath. “Holy shit, that feels good to get off my chest.” Cooper smiles, his shoulders dropping.

“Seriously, Cooper? I swear you can’t keep a secret to save your life.” Conner says.

“Hey, don’t insult me. I won the bet anyway,”

“So did I, Cooper. We are splitting that money,” Aiden adds.

“Right. Oh, Jazmine picked the same dates as us, so it’s actually a three-way split.”

My jaw drops. “So, not only were my teammates betting on me, but my sister was too. Unbelievable.”

Aiden laughs. “It was obvious you both wanted to fuck each other, so it wasn’t the biggest leap to say you would fall in love.”

Willow rolls her eyes. “Speaking of Jazmine, we should get going before she spams my phone even more.”

I laugh as Willow hands me her phone.

Jazmine Allen:

Are you coming?

Hurry up!!!

Seriously, I’m bored out of my mind.

Wait, are you not answering because you’re having…

No. I can’t even think about it.

“Holy shit. Some take a picture,” Aiden says.

I look over to him. “What?”

“Jayden Allen is smiling. With teeth.”

I roll my eyes. “Let’s go, Red.”

The boys’ eyes light up. “Can we call you Red?” Conner asks.

“No.” We reply. I grab her hand, pulling her toward the door. I can still hear Aiden speaking as we are about to leave.

“Why not? Is it a sex thing?”

I slam the door, yet a smirk pulls at my lips.

“ W ait, what?” Jazmine screams. "Why didn't you tell me this weeks ago?"

I wince, watching as my girlfriend gets swamped by my sister. Girlfriend. That might just be my new favourite word.

I smile, holding back a laugh as the girls jump around the living room while hugging. Willow has been waiting until everything was finalised to tell people about the PWHL.

“You know what it doesn't matter," Jaz says, waving her hands. "This is the best news I’ve heard all day. We should be going out for cocktails, not having a night in.”

Willow chuckles, shaking her head. “No, this is fine. Just hanging out with my favourite people,”

I smirk, unable to help myself. “Thanks, Red. I didn’t realise you liked me that much.”

Willow whips around, eyes turning to slits. She flashes me her middle finger. “I hate you,”

We hold our gaze, and she licks her lips. Around us, the air charges, and I really want to–

Jazmine groans. “Is this how it’s going to be from now on? You two eye-fucking each other.”

“Maybe? Depends on how much Jayden pisses me off,”

“I don’t even want to know,”

The front door clicks and Theo waltzes into the lounge room, his arms full with three boxes of pizza.

“Dinner is served,”

Jaz greets Theo with a chaste kiss before helping him set the boxes up on the small dining table. I pull Willow’s chair out, relishing in the glare I receive.

“I can do that myself, you know.”

I smile. “I know you can, but now you don’t have to.”

Jaz laughs, shaking her head. “Trust me, Willow, it’s easier to go along with it.” She grabs a slice of pizza and places it onto her plate. “I’m not allowed near the handle of a car door.” Jaz shoots Theo a look.

“Don’t look at me like that, Princess,” Theo smirks. “You love the princess treatment.”

Jaz sighs. “Hmm, it is nice.” She looks to Willow. “Especially when the man helping you is extremely hot.”

“Well, I suppose I’ll have to let Jayden help me with the car door from now on.”

“Argh. I walked straight into that one.”

All of us laugh. The night continues with board games, and with too many competitive people involved, the stakes seemed a lot higher than normal.

Willow and I are sitting cross-legged on the floor with the Monopoly board on the coffee table.

I link our hands together because, for some reason, I need to be touching Willow. I think she said something about physical touch being my love language, and right now, I couldn’t agree more.

“No,” my sister yells, slamming her money onto the board. “I refuse to declare bankruptcy.”

“Princess, it’s okay to lose sometimes.”

Jazmine stares at him like he is an absolute idiot. “Of course, you would say that you’re trying to take my money.”

God, I’m going to miss times like this.

Graduation has come around quickly, and it’s crazy to think that after all these years, Jaz and I will be going our separate ways.

Reaching out, I wrap my arm around Willow’s neck and pull her closer.

“You okay?” She asks.

I smile, placing a kiss on her forehead. “Perfect.”
