Chapter 21 #2

He takes a deep breath, shaking his head again as he stands up.

As much as he wants to, he doesn’t think he could just steal these from Carol.

How would she react—what questions would she ask, wondering what he was doing with them if she caught him?

But would he ever have a chance to buy some for himself?

Taking hers would be the easiest way to get any, and it’s not like he’d actually be stealing them.

He’d just be… borrowing them for a night.

He files the idea away for later.

For whenever he thinks he’ll have another night alone with Gene again.

But presently, he’ll have to deal with Carol. And he really, really doesn’t fucking want to after that argument earlier today. She’s likely going to expect sex if they’re going to be spending time alone together, especially if she can use it as an excuse for him to ‘make it up’ to her.

There’s a complimentary bottle of vodka sitting on the dresser, gifted to him earlier from Dennis.

Might as well dig into it.

Tonight definitely calls for it.

He’s about four or five shots in—he’d lost count aready—when Carol joins him in bed.

Right now he’s stripped down to his underwear, and so is she, as she snuggles up to him under the covers.

She hasn’t mentioned the lingerie, so Ray figures he won’t bring it up either.

And maybe, sometime soon, I can sneak away with it to wear it for Gene.

Goddamn, why can’t he just have another night with Gene again? Maybe he could’ve, if he would’ve been smart enough last night to come back to his room. But no, he felt so comfortable with Gene hugging him from behind. He didn’t want to let go of that moment.

Yet now he’s here with his girlfriend. His actual romantic partner, unlike Gene. Sure, it’s gotten to the point where every now and then he and Gene fuck, but they’re not truly lovers. They never can be, both being men.

But that doesn’t stop Ray from lusting after him like mad. Even with Carol right beside him, groping his chest, kissing his lips, he can’t get Gene off his mind.

And not just his mind. Gene left some rather red marks on Ray’s ass from scratching him last night. Afraid of Carol noticing, Ray keeps his underwear on as long as possible, facing toward her. Often when they have sex, Ray faces her anyway, so such a thing isn’t too hard to hide.

“Ray…” Carol giggles, pulling her lips away. “You reek of vodka.”

“Are you saying you think I should have another shot?” Ray smirks. She’s had a couple shots too, since she came into the room.

“I don’t want you to overdo it. Remember what happened that night in Vegas?”

“I’m not going anywhere, am I? You can keep me right here in the room, and we’ll have nothing to worry about. No running off with random fans this time.”

She laughs, shaking her head. “Maybe let’s wait a few more minutes before you have another, at the very least.”

“Alright, alright.” He chuckles, leaning forward to give her lips a peck.

It feels strange kissing her, when just last night he was kissing Gene.

He can’t help but compare—her lips are soft and delicate, while Gene’s are rougher, surrounded by fine stubble.

Her chest is round and smooth, while Gene’s chest is flat, taut, and hairy.

Honestly, Ray enjoys both. He’s never doubted his attraction to women.

And yet now, he can’t stop thinking of Gene, his masculine form, his handsome face, not to mention his huge cock—

Ray’s head feels heavy, mind swirling from all the vodka.

He breaks away from the kiss, rolling to lie on his back, his hand still petting Carol’s shoulder. He closes his eyes.

“Man, I wish Gene were here…” he admits. “I’d lick him all over… and then I’d suck his cock…”

“Ray, what the fuck?!”

His eyes snap back open. He turns his head to look at her.

“I mean… you’ve been with him once, right? You know… He’s so handsome…”

Carol sits up, making Ray let go of her shoulder. “Ray, why the hell are you talking about doing something sexual with Gene?!”

His mind swirls again. The alcohol knocks his brain. He doesn’t have an answer.

Carol gasps, her brows knitting together. “You were with him last night. Is that what you two were doing together? Sucking each other’s cocks?! My fucking god, really?”

“No, no!” he says, sitting up as well, his back against the headboard. His heart is beating madly. “I mean, uh… I didn’t actually do anything like that with him. I was just… imagining it…”

“You were imagining what it’d be like to suck Gene’s cock,” she says flatly.

“I mean… What’s the harm in just fantasizing? It’s not like we’ve actually done anything…”

“Ray, you really expect me to believe that?” She scowls. “You just flat out said you wished he were here and that you want to suck his cock. And you’d say that to me? Your fucking girlfriend—who you vowed to be exclusive to?!”

He gulps. I need to think of something—fast.

“Carrie, please, you know I’m exclusive to you,” he lies. A cold sweat drips down his neck. “I don’t want you to think otherwise. I’ve just been curious, I guess?”

“Curious?” She sneers. “Is that what you call it?”

“Maybe that’s not the best word. Or, uh…

” It’s so hard to think when he can hear his heartbeat in his ears.

“I spend a lot of time with Gene since he’s my best friend.

So sometimes my mind wanders. That doesn’t mean that…

I’d want to leave you for him, or anything.

He’s a guy, anyway!” He chuckles, trying to shake off his nerves and lighten the mood.

“It’d never work out with him. Besides, he has his own girlfriend, too.

When I say it’s a fantasy, that’s all I mean—it’s a fantasy. Nothing real.”

Carol shakes her head and chews on her lip, looking down at her hands on her lap.

She clasps her hands in fists over and over, open, shut, open, shut.

“I want to believe you. I really do. But I don’t know…

I’ve been wondering if you liked Gene that way.

It seemed so farfetched, you wanting to have sex with another guy.

But now that you said it all to me right now…

it just confirms it. You literally just fucking told me. ”

Ray blinks. His mind spins again. His heart beats frantically. Thud, thud, thud. “You… were already wondering if I liked Gene that way?”

“Well, all the clues lined up!” She looks at him, brows still furrowed, making uncomfortable eye contact.

“But I didn’t know for sure if you… actually liked guys at all that way.

So I couldn’t ever be sure. I wondered if maybe there was something wrong with how I was seeing it, versus what was actually happening… ”

“Babe, like I said, nothing is actually happening between me and Gene. I promise you when I say that. I’m feeling kinda drunk, y’know, and some of my personal thoughts just… slipped out.” He chuckles again, lifting his hand to itch the back of his head.
