Chapter 15 – Lana ~ 1989

I got home from a long day at work. As soon as I make it into my house, I hear my phone ringing. I throw my stuff down on my couch and rush to answer the phone.

“Hello?” I ask. “Hey, Voss.” a voice I haven’t heard in a few months responds. “Ellis. Nice to hear your ghostly voice haunt my phone line.” I bite my lip. I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss him.

He chuckles. “Yeah, sorry about that. I wasn’t sure how you would feel about me after the party.” He says. “Well, you know there is such a thing as asking.” I say.

“Yeah. I deserve the cold shoulder you’re giving me. But listen, that’s why I called. I have a proposition for you, Voss.” He says. I hesitate. After a few minutes he asks, “You there?”

“Yeah. Uh, depends on your proposition, Ellis.” I respond. Fidgeting with the phone cord in my hand I try to calm my racing heart. I feel like a school girl talking to her crush. Pathetic really.

“How about I take you on a picnic near this waterfall? Multnomah Falls. We can sit there, talk, and if you decide, I’m not a total asshole, we can do something else.” He says, hesitantly. Is Blake Ellis nervous that I will tell him no?

The Blake Ellis? The most popular jock to ever walk the halls of our high school? He asks me, if I’m there again. “Uh, yeah, sorry. Just trying to clear my head. Yeah, sure.” I say.

“I can pick you up now, if you’d like.” He says. Shit, right now? “I just got off work but give me a couple hours and I’ll be ready.” I respond. “I think I can manage that.” He says. I tell him my address. “I’ll see you in a couple hours, Voss.” He says and hangs up the phone.

I put the phone back down on its receiver and I am in absolute shock. Blake Ellis called to apologize to me and take me out on a date? Has hell froze over?

I run into the bathroom to start getting ready. I have no idea what I’m going to wear to a picnic at the waterfall. I turn the water on hot and I wait for it to warm up.

As soon as it’s hot, I jump in and do a quick rinse and wash my hair. I can’t get caught up in thinking about Ellis touching me this time. I get out as soon as I am done.

I walk down the hall to get to my bedroom. I wrap my hair up in the towel and try to find something to wear. I decide to go for a more edgy style. A little more opposite from the party.

I grab my regular blue jeans with zippers on the sides kind of like my jeans from the party except you know, blue. I grab a graphic tee and my leather jacket. This is cute.

I go back into the bathroom to blow dry my hair. I start teasing it, drying and then hair spraying. I wanted to make sure my hair has volume. Once it’s as poofy as I want, I apply some eyeliner to my water line and put on mascara.

I decide this is fine. I’m lacing up my boots when my doorbell rings. I finish up and then run to the door. I open it and Blake is standing there holding a bouquet in his hand.

Not just any bouquet. A bouquet of orange roses that remind me of the leaves falling during Fall. I am in awe of how beautiful these roses are. I take them from Blake’s hands.

“Thank you, Blake. These are absolutely beautiful.” I smell them and then run into my kitchen to get a vase. I start filling the vase up. “Make yourself at home. I just wanted to get these roses in water.” I yell.

I finish working on getting the roses delicately placed in their new home. The beautiful vase complimenting their beautiful orange colors and giving them room to breathe.

I walk into my living room and Blake is sitting on the couch waiting for me. “Thank you.” I say again. He grins. “You’re welcome, Voss. I figured, I have a lot of making up to do. The flowers are beautiful but not as beautiful as you.” He says.

I feel the heat spread across my cheeks. I look down. “I’m ready, when you are.” I fidget with my hands. He gets up off the couch, grabs my hand and leads me out to his car.

Multnomah Falls was about forty-five minutes from my house. I have never really been outside of Portland. It’s beautiful. Very scenic. The ride there could only be described as transformative.

It is like a super green Grand Canyon, a majestic river cutting right through the gorge, that is absolutely breathtaking. The view takes my breath away.

Once we arrive, it is amazing to look at. Blake leads me to the bottom of the fall. I look up to see a bridge stretched across. I wonder if we will make the hike up there.

“So, what do you think?” He shakes me out of my thoughts. “It’s breathtaking. I’ve never been to Multnomah Falls.” I respond. He looks at me, almost in shock. “You’ve never been?” He asks. I shake my head and then I look back up at the falls.

He squeezes my hand. “I’m going to set up the picnic. Just take your time, Voss.” He says. I smile and cross my arms across my chest. I sweep my gaze around me just taking in everything.

It is like watching a rainbow. Seeing what hope looks like in real time. I sigh in contentment. After what feels like ten minutes or longer I turn around and see Blake sitting on a blanket and a picnic basket sitting in the middle.

I grin. Who knew Blake Ellis could be a romantic? I make my way over and plop down. I grab a sandwich out of the picnic basket. I take a bite and chew, just thinking about how stunning the view is.

Blake pulls out a bottle of champagne. “Where did you get that?” I ask. “Oh, this? Just laying around in my house. It won’t be missed.” He says. I laugh. “Blake Ellis, what a rebel you are.” He grins at me.

He pops the cork and takes out two glasses as well. He offers me a glass and pours the champagne into it. “What are we toasting?” I ask. “New relationships. Thank you for letting me make it up to you after Kari’s party.” He says.

“I’d be lying if I said that it didn’t hurt a little.” I confess. He winces. “That wasn’t my intention. I think you’re cool, Lana. Maybe even a little too cool for me.” He says. I look at him. Really look at him.

Maybe I need to look past his douche bag tendencies. Not define him by that. But see him for what he is right now. A friend. Someone who is making it up to me after fucking me and then not talking to me for almost a month.

“So do we toast, Voss?” He asks, holding out his glass to me. I hesitate for a few seconds. Then I clink my glass against his and we take a drink. It has a bitter taste. I cough. He laughs. “Yeah, champagne doesn’t taste the best.”

We both laugh. After a bit of time, I lay back on the blanket to take in the scenery from that perspective. It takes my breath away, even just laying here. Blake dumps the champagne from our glasses and puts stuff away before he leans over me.

“You’re blocking my view, Ellis.” I mock pout. He grins. “Maybe there’s other beautiful things to look at.” I bite my lip. He puts his hands down on either side of my face and leans in. His lips touch mine softly.

I moan. Our lips press against each other again. I close my eyes. We kiss a few more times before his tongue brushes against my lips. I let out another breathy moan and he slips his tongue in.

His tongue and my tongue brushing against each other. He pulls back, sitting up, he unbuttons my pants and unzips it. “Stay here for a second.” I open my eyes to see him get up fully to grab another blanket. I sit up as well. He sits behind me.

He grabs my waist and pulls me flush against his hard chest. He grabs the blanket and covers us up with it. “Have you ever had sex in a public place, Lana?” He whispers in my ear.

The feel of his breath on my ear sends a shiver down my spine. I shake my head. “Good. I’ll be the first.” He says. His hand slips down my pants. He cups my pussy and I let out a small moan. “You have to be quiet, baby. Can you be good for me?”

I nod barely able to comprehend because of my nerves tingling already just from his hand holding my pussy. His thumb begins to circle my clit. I bite my lip, trying not to let a moan out.

He goes slower and my body reacts to it. It makes me shudder from the agonizingly slow pace his thumb is making. “Faster…” I moan. He nips my earlobe. “Like this?” He asks and he picks up the pace.

I start panting. He sucks on my earlobe and it adds to the sensation. “Yes. Don’t stop, please, Blake, it feels so good.” I moan. He lets go of my earlobe and licks my neck. It makes me shudder more violently than when he was flicking my clit with his thumb slowly.

He sucks on my earlobe again. Then he inserts a finger and starts pumping in and out. I start to squirm. “Be still, Lana. Just give in to all of the sensations. Close your eyes.” He says. I listen, and close my eyes.

I take a shuddering breath. “Good girl. Now just focus on each thing. I’ll tell you when to cum, baby.” He says into my ear. I nod. I feel each thrust of his finger, his thumb rubbing my clit and his hot breath on my ear and neck as he alternates licking my neck and sucking on my ear.

I put my knees up and spread my legs. “Good, Lana. Do you feel your orgasm building?” He asks. I nod my head and my moaning pants become more apparent. He inserts another finger and rubs my clit a little harder.

“Blake…” I moan. I can almost feel him smirking. “Just hold on a bit longer, baby.” He says. I can feel my orgasm building faster. I’m so close. He thrusts his two fingers faster and curls them against my wall.

“Blake…” I moan again. I start to tighten against his fingers. “Come for me, Lana. Let me watch you come undone, in front of all of these people.” He whispers in my ear.

My orgasm rips through me at a punishing force. With his other hand, he muffles my moans as I come undone, like he described. My body tightens and he doesn’t stop until my body relaxes against him. He pulls his hand off my face.

I open my eyes. He pulls his other hand out of my pants and sticks his two fingers into his mouth and sucks my juices off. I moan from the sight.

“Now to clean you up.” He goes underneath the blanket and pulls my jeans and panties down. I gasp. Is he really about to eat me out in a public place? I mean, finger banging is one thing, at least that was mostly discreet.

He props my legs back up and spreads them. Before I can object, I feel his tongue inside of me. I gasp. He licks me at a punishingly slow pace. I relax. I close my eyes and then I feel his tongue hit a certain spot and I’m starting to see stars.

I put my hand under the blanket and hold his head there. He pulls away and I let go. I pout but then he licks my clit and I put my other hand over my mouth. He sucks it into his mouth. I’m shuddering and squirming. His hands hold my legs still.

He nips, sucks and licks in a tandem cycle. I start to lose it. He knows. He puts a finger inside me again and curls it. Flicking my clit with his tongue at a fast pace. He’s still holding my other leg down, so I can’t squirm too much.

I keep my hand over my mouth. I’m moaning and I can’t stop. I feel my orgasm build up faster than last time. I open my eyes and look around. There’s nobody around. I pant and slowly take my hand away from my mouth.

I close my eyes again and I feel another finger enter. He thrusts and flicks my clit at a faster pace. Once he sucks my clit into his mouth, I tighten against his head. He sucks harder and I burst.

My orgasm hits me, and I moan out, “Blake.” He licks up all of my juices. I buck. He pulls his fingers out and he grips my ass and pushes me further into his mouth. I collapse onto the blanket. I let go of his head. He licks me a couple more times.

Then he pulls my panties and pants back up. He zips them and buttons them as well. Then he crawls up to me, his face glistening. He puts his fingers in my mouth and I suck them. I moan. I didn’t realize how good I tasted.

He pulls his fingers out and kisses me. We lay there kissing for what seems like forever. “You ready to hike up to the waterfall?” He asks. I nod. He cleans up the rest of his face and mine.

He gets up off of me and puts the blanket and picnic stuff away in his car. “Are we not going to?” I start, “um, have sex?” I say, awkwardly. “This is about me making it up to you, Lana. Why do you think I made you orgasm twice?” He asks.

I must give him a surprised look because he laughs. “Lana, we have plenty of time for regular sex. Let’s go enjoy the waterfall, baby.” He says. I nod. He grabs my hand and we begin hiking.

Even the hike up there is absolutely gorgeous. It is stunning. The views, the mountains, the way the sun shines through the trees. I am in such awe. No wonder Blake wanted to take me here.

After some time, we make it up to the bridge in the middle of the fall. The sun is beginning to set. I am in absolute awe of the view from up there. I walk to the edge of the bridge. You can feel the spray of the falls hit your face like a misting. I enjoy the feeling.

I look out and see the miles of trees spread out before me. I lean on the bridge. Blake comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. I turn and look at him. He kisses me. I kiss him back. He pulls back first and I turn to look back at the trees again.

This is probably the best day of my life. I’ve never imagined someone, anyone, especially Blake Ellis taking me to a magnificent destination such as Multnomah Falls.

After we watch the sun slip further past the horizon, we decide, it’s time to hike back down, before we can no longer see two feet in front of us. We make it back to Blake’s car and then we head back into Portland. He drops me off at my house.

“Thank you for the wonderful night.” I say. “Thank you, Lana for allowing me to make it up to you.” He says back with a grin on his face. He walks me up to the porch.

He puts a hand on my waist and pulls him towards him. He kisses me for a few minutes and then he tells me, that he will call me again.

I head back inside feeling all giddy. Today was amazing and I hope, Blake keeps his word. I lock my door and turn my lights off and get ready for bed.
