12. Sienna #2
He fills each glass with whiskey and passes them around the table. I take mine, lifting the glass into the light. This is way more than I should drink in a whole week, let alone a single night.
“Is there a problem, Sienna?”
I find Cash staring at me through the glass, his eyes warped but still just as green.
“The only problem is that your shirt is on right now. I want it off.”
Okay… Where did that come from? I haven’t even had a sip of the whiskey yet, so I can’t blame it on the alcohol. But at this point, who gives a fuck? If I’m leaving soon, I may as well go out with a bang.
Besides, Cash had it coming. If he wants to make comments about my career choice—fine. I get to make comments about how he looks better with his shirt off.
And with Henry in bed, it’s time to see how far I can push him. He’ll cave eventually, I’m sure.
Eli and Knox share a look while Cash pretends I never made the comment.
“Let's play Never Have I Ever.”
Oh, so we’re going there, huh?
“Never Have I Ever?” I repeat.
God, if I’d known we were planning on playing an adult drinking game, I’d have done something with my hair and put a little makeup on.
“Yeah.” Eli’s eyes light up. “I’m assuming you know how to play?”
“Of course I do.”
“Great,” interjects Cash. “I’ll go first.” He curls his hands around his glass and looks straight in my direction. “Never have I ever pretended to be somebody I’m not.”
Sounds personal, but okay. I keep our eyes locked as I take a drink. Cash can’t have been in the industry himself. Otherwise, he’d know that faking it till you make it is the only way to survive in my line of work. At this point in my career, it’s practically a job requirement.
My turn.
I flick a long lock of hair over my shoulder and direct this one at Cash. “Never have I ever secretly watched Sienna on all fours doing Pilates, thinking she didn’t know I was watching.”
Cash’s eyes widen for a second, and the other guys’ heads snap his way.
“What the fuck, man?” Knox is surprisingly defensive. “When was this?”
“The first morning,” I answer on Cash’s behalf, since he seems unable to speak. “Believe me, he was watching for a long time.” I wink in his direction.
Cash takes a long sip of whiskey before commenting. “We have a three-year-old living with us. She shouldn’t have been doing that.”
“At 6 AM in the morning?” I counter. “Everyone in the cabin was asleep—except for you, of course.” I take a sip of my own drink. Victory tastes sweet. “Don’t try to use Henry as an excuse. You knew exactly what you were doing.”
Cash tenses his jaw and turns the other way. Why is he looking so pissed off? It’s just a game.
Eli and Knox also look pretty angry. They’ll never admit it aloud, but they’re all secretly pissed.
Tensions grow high as the three men flash glances at each other.
I sit back and focus on drinking my whiskey. Damn, it’s strong. Just what I need. I already feel the dark clouds receding, making way for clear skies and new opportunities.
Arousal thrums between my thighs as I watch the men drink in silence. Anger looks good on them. Adds some fire to their already gorgeous features.
I see a bead of sweat form on Eli’s brow, and my immediate reaction is to lick it off.
Now is maybe not the time, though.
“Never have I ever failed to make a girl come,” says Knox. He leaves his glass alone on the table.
That one seemed personal. How much do they know about each other’s sex lives?
Cash and Eli don’t drink, and another silent staring match unfolds.
I drink whiskey as the men continue to exchange hostile looks. God, I’ve missed drinking alcohol. I have to drink it at home, or there will be a picture of me taking a vodka shot the next day all over the internet. Not to mention, alcohol is horrible for your skin—so drying.
“You know the rules when it comes to alcohol consumption,” says my nutritionist, calling for an urgent meeting the next morning when I’m hungover. “No more than four units of alcohol per week.”
“Last time I checked, one vodka shot equals one unit of alcohol.”
My nutritionist doesn’t look convinced. “Judging from the photograph, it wasn’t your first shot of the night.”
No, I lost count as soon as I stepped into the bar. But how else am I supposed to get over Holden leaving me? Vodka is my only hope.
“You shouldn’t believe everything you see online.”
“No, I agree,” says my nutritionist. “But you should be aware that your entire life is online. You’re a star, Sienna. And stars are always being watched.”
I finish the rest of my drink and request a second from Eli, who hugs the bottle closer to his chest and shakes his head.
“Oh, come on,” drawls Cash. “Give the girl what she wants. She’s used to it being that way.”
“I do always get what I want.” I wink. “Which is why it won’t be long before you’re in my bed.”
“Whoa!” Eli shouts. Good thing I already stole the whiskey bottle from him. “Sienna, that’s a little?—”
“It’s the truth,” I say. “Of course, Cash hates me too much to admit how much he wants me. Which can’t be said for you two.” I flick my eyes between Knox and Eli.
Knox sits up straighter, with a shell-shocked look on his face.
God, this whiskey is going straight to my head. My body isn’t used to drinking so much in such a short space of time.
“Bitter people always lose out on the best opportunities," I tell Cash. “You wanna know why? Because they’re bitter. Bitter, bitter, bitter.”
He tightens his jaw and looks away. For the first time since being here, I finally think I have one over him.
“Okay.” Cash turns back to face me. “I’ve got one for you.”
“Please. Give me your worst.”
“No, no, no…” Eli intervenes.
And that gives me an idea…
I throw my hand into the air and shout: “Never have I ever caught a certain somebody jerking off in their room…”
And what do you know? All three of the men’s eyes flare wide.
All. Three.
Holy shit.
They all think I’m talking about them…
A smile plays across my lips. I grab my glass of whiskey, find Eli’s eyes and take a long sip, watching as his face drops.
“Fuck,” he gasps.
Cash and Knox both turn slowly, facing him.
Eli only has one thing to say. “You saw me? When?”
“When?! How many times has it happened, Eli?” I exclaim.
“I’m not answering that question.” He tenses his jaw and looks away.
Another episode of tense silence unfolds. I look between the guys. They’re not saying much, but the hostility is so incredibly loud. I can almost feel it in the air.
I take one final sip of whiskey. Now that we’ve broken the ice, I’m hoping we can actually get somewhere and do something about all of this tension.
“I saw her first,” Knox says in a low voice.
I feel my brows raise all the way to my hairline.
Knox never struck me as the jealous type.
“I don’t fucking care.” Eli knocks back the rest of his whiskey and slams the glass on the table.
Cash remains silent through all of this, of course. His jaw keeps working, though.
After pinning Knox with a long look, Eli returns his attention to the rest of us. “Okay. My turn.”
Oh god, I think I know what’s coming.
“Never have I ever walked in on Sienna fingering herself.”
Cash and Knox turn in unison to Eli.
Eli looks smug and raises his glass up at me before taking a sip. “Isn’t that right, Sienna?”
“He’s telling the truth,” I admit. I can’t believe this is all happening right now. And I’m pretty sure I’m dripping wet…
“Now tell them about all the eye fucking we’ve been doing,” Eli says.
Knox shoots up, his chair scraping behind him as he tears Eli from his own chair and throws him into the wall.
Good god, I hope Henry’s a deep sleeper.
I watch in shock as Knox brings Eli into a headlock. The air leaves my lungs as I watch every muscle in Knox’s arm flex. Fuck, he’s strong. I think about him flipping me over in bed and having his way with me.
Knox returns Eli to the wall, but Eli isn’t backing down. “Sometimes being stoic doesn’t pay off the way you want it to.”
“I saw her first.”
“Yeah, you keep saying that...”
I clamp my thighs together under the table, creating friction. This interaction isn’t helping my situation. My pussy is pulsating like it has a heartbeat of its own.
I watch in complete awe as the two men fight for dominance. Neither of them is backing down.
I chew on my lip, drunk on whiskey and sexual tension. Hollywood has paid me millions of dollars, but it doesn’t compare to this moment.
I clench my thighs shut again, needing a release. When I stand, there’s gonna be a puddle of my wetness on the seat.
I turn from the table and catch Cash staring at me.
The thudding sound of Eli and Knox slamming each other into the wall fades as I look into Cash’s eyes. Good lord, he’s beautiful. But the look he’s giving me isn’t.
It’s dark. Dangerous. Everything that’s been missing in my life.
Flames snap and pop in the distance, the fire glowing on one side of Cash’s face.
I think about Holden and no longer feel even the slightest urge to be with him again.
He’s nothing compared to these men. The only reason he proposed to Valentina is because it keeps him relevant.
The bastard expired years ago and will do anything to stay in the limelight.
But he will never compare to the men in front of me.
Cash continues staring at me dangerously, and my heart beats so fast it hums.
