Chapter 31 Negotiations

Chapter thirty-one

Negotions

Sorin

Sam has been fucking annoying to deal with over the past two weeks. He had not taken the news of Lace and I well.

“You interfered,” he growled at me.

“We were already interfering by following her to Helomasi! And then I had to save her from that guard and things just… happened. I didn’t fuck her.”

“You unlocked her powers! Before the prince could! Do not bullshit me. Whether it was your fingers or cock does not matter. It is basically the same thing. Now everything is out of order.”

“What are you talking about?”

Sam glares at me. “I guess we will find out, won’t we?” Then he stormed away.

He normally gets out of these growly moods more quickly, but I think his training sessions with Lace in the mornings are only making him more of a grouch.

He has been stomping in going right in to the shower to ‘work off some tension’ and ignoring me.

You would think his release would help but he exits in just as much of a sour mood as he went in.

The sexual frustration must be killing him. I know it is killing me.

Despite his frustrations with how I handled things, I do not regret it.

I miss having Lace in my arms at night and watching over her into the late hours of the morning.

Not having her body against me is worse than torture.

Without her a piece of me feels like it is missing and the longer I go without feeling her against me the more and more lost I feel.

I don’t like pissing off Sam though nor do I want to ruin Lace’s future by testing the prince further.

I only allow myself the most innocent of touches during mealtimes, but I am at a point where that is not enough.

It is taking all of my willpower to not give into my desires.

Especially when I see Lace’s crestfallen gaze as I leave the kitchen each morning.

I have tried to supplement my craving for her by allowing myself to watch her as she trains with Sam, but even that does little to make this empty feeling go away.

The way she looks at him though…I need to do something.

When Sam walks into the room after his morning training session with Alaceandra I stop him before he can make his way to the shower.

“What, Sorin? I’m busy.”

“Look. We need to talk.”

“We have.”

“No all of us. Including the prince.”

Sam arches a brow. “About what?”

“Lace.”

Sam snorts.

“Look we all want her. There can still be a chance—”

“Maybe for the prince and you,” Sam mutters.

“What? No, Sam. You too. You should see the way she has been looking at you lately. Her eyes are basically devouring you during those training sessions.”

“The one’s you’ve been watching from the forest?”

Yeah, he knew. “Yeah those.” I say, scratching the back of my head.

He lets out a breath. “Look, I get it. You miss her. I miss her, but there is no way it is going to work. Not now that things are out of order.”

“Where is Sam and what have you done with him?”

He rolls his eyes, and I place a hand on his shoulder.

“You have been scheming and planning to be with Alaceandra since you revealed to me what she means to you. There is no way you just throw in the towel right now.”

“That was before all… this.” He motions around. “What happens when she finds out who I really am? There is no way she can accept it under the current circumstances. What will we do then?”

I sigh. “We will figure that out when the time comes to it. For now, can we just talk to the prince? Maybe he might be more open than we think. He has been watching all three of us and he seems more curious than anything.”

Sam rolls his eyes. “That jackass? Maybe. It is Lace’s willingness I am more concerned about.”

“There is no harm in trying.”

“Oh, there is plenty of harm.”

It is my turn to roll my eyes. “Just say you will do it.”

“Fine, let’s go talk to him.” Sam says before leaving the room. I, of course, follow.
