Chapter 22 Jahmir

TWENTY-TWO

JAHMIR

Deshay and I hadn’t talked much since that night she caught Tatiyonna and me fucking in my car.

This was the first time we had been around each other in the office alone.

This was usually when we would fuck. Today, she avoided even coming in my office.

If she had anything to say, she would send an email.

Shit wasn’t hurting my feelings at all. I was glad she had set a boundary.

I didn’t want her to think that we were still dealing with each other now I had fully gotten in a relationship with Tatiyonna.

“Sorry to bother you. One of the trucks that you put in the shop last week cannot be fixed, and I wanted to know if you had looked at the email for the new truck you requested the asking price on?” Deshay stood at the door.

“I hadn’t looked at it yet, but I will have an answer for you before the end of the day.”

“The dealer would like an answer within the next hour, or he said he will have to sell it.”

“Well, stand there and let me go look over it.”

Instead of standing, she came in and took a seat across from me.

Now, any man would know a woman like Deshay, and Tatiyonna rarely wore panties.

She intentionally sat in front of me with her little skirt on and a waxed pussy.

I paid her no mind as I crunched the numbers because I refused to pay what the dealer was giving.

“Why is she in here with her legs open?” Tatiyonna stood at the door with my lunch in her hand.

“Shit, ask her. I ain’t paying her no mind. I’m handling business,” I stared at Deshay, as she clasped her legs closed. “You can leave. I’ll email you the offer I want you to send to him.”

“Yes sir.” She got up and rushed out.

Tatiyonna closed the door behind her and slammed my food down.

“Aye, we’re not doing this. I haven’t given you any reason to believe that I’m cheating on you.”

“Why haven’t you fired her, and you knew y’all used to fuck? Did you not think it would make me uncomfortable? Better yet, did you not think a woman like Deshay was going to just not want to fuck you?”

“Tatiyonna, the only person getting this dick is you. Do I need to give it to you now since you’re coming at me like that? Matter fact, come here.” I snatched her ass up and put her on my desk.

“Jah, no!”

“Nah, I don’t want you insecure, so I want her to hear how this dick makes you cum.”

“I got to go see a client, Jah.”

“Well, you’ll see them after.” I dropped my pants, lifted her dress, and eased in her.

“Shittt,” Tatiyonna moaned.

“This is what you, baby? Yeah, that’s what you needed,” I said as I watched her wet up my dick. “Look at you making a mess on the dick. Get what you need, baby.”

I let her get all she needed before I nutted. She went in my bathroom and cleaned herself up.

“Don’t come in here like that no more,” I said, kissing her.

“Okay,” she melted.

I walked her to her car and watched her pull off. Deshay was sitting at her desk with her earplugs in her ears when I walked back in. Her attitude was evident when I approached her desk.

I snatched her earplugs out, “I need you to clean your desk out. Today’s your last day.”

“Jahmir! How am I supposed to pay my bills?”

“Deshay, I tried to keep you on. You disrespected my relationship, and I can’t have my woman unhappy. I would hope you would understand that.”

“I won’t disrespect you again. I can’t go work anywhere where I make this type of money. I’ll apologize to her.”

“I’m sorry, Deshay. I’ll pay you for the rest of the month, but this is it.”

I left her there, went back in my office and closed the door. That was one weight lifted off my shoulders. I was actually glad she got caught. I needed a reason to fire her without being an asshole. At this point, Tatiyonna could tell me to empty my accounts for her and would.

Before I left for the day, Deshay had emptied her desk and left the key.

I sent an email to my HR to post an ad that I needed an assistant who was familiar with the business.

Deshay had only been familiar because I taught her everything she needed to know.

She had a record and I was the only one who would give her a chance when she came through the temp service to work with me.

She did so good at notetaking while I was in meetings that I hired her full-time.

I hated to let her go, but she had to learn when shit was over.

Before I went home, I stopped and got my baby some flowers since I had to stop the ones going to her house since she wasn’t there at the time.

I grabbed a favorite candy and the white cheddar popcorn her ass loved to eat when we would watch tv.

I pulled through the gate and noticed all the damn lights on upstairs.

When Tatiyonna was here alone, she rarely had any lights on.

As soon as I walked in the house and almost tripped over Dream’s Jordan, I knew why all my lights were on.

“Uncle Jah,” they both came running at me.

“How did the rugrats end up over here?”

“I gave Lonni a break. She didn’t hesitate to drop them off. Are these for me?” Tatiyonna asked.

“You know these for you,” I gave her the flowers and the bag of snacks. “I handled that today as well. Deshay is no longer employed by me.”

“Jah…”

“Nah, I need you happy. You’ve been unhappy long enough, and I need you to trust me. I’m not a cheater.”

“I believed you. It was her that I didn’t trust.”

“And that’s why I handled it.”

“Thank you,” she said, and kissed me. “Now, we are making homemade pizza, so come on and help.”

I washed my hands and took my shirt off before walking in the kitchen. From the three pizzas lined up across the counter, I could tell who did what.

“This has got to be Reigns because why are there pineapples on the pizza, Reign?”

“I like pineapples,” she replied.

“Of course you do!”

“And this has to be Dream’s with all these damn pepperonis and barely any cheese.”

He nodded, confirming what I said was true.

We enjoyed the kids for the remainder of the night until I sent Lonni a text and told her to let them stay for the night. They had their own room over here anyway, and seeing Tatiyonna acting like a kid with them put a smile on my face.

“Reign told me they are about to be six. I hadn't looked at their paperwork in a while, so I wasn’t sure when their birthday was. I want to make sure I buy something.”

“Baby, them kids don’t need shit. You keep letting them sweet talk you.

When we drop them off tomorrow, I’m going to show you their room, and then you’ll understand.

We usually do cake and ice cream for them.

They don’t have a lot of friends. Maybe now they do because they go to school. It’s always been small and intimate.”

“Okay, I understand. Are birthdays not a big deal in y’all family? I just noticed y’all brush things off a little.”

“Not since my mama died.”

“So, why did you make my birthday a big deal with all the gifts?”

“Because again, that’s what I love to do.”

Tatiyonna didn’t push the issue anymore. She took Reign to our bathroom and ran her bath water, while I took some time up with Dream. I was waiting for him to get a little older before I took him on his first dump truck ride. I was seven years old when my grandfather took me.

“Dream, what you want for your birthday, big dawg?”

“Fishing pole,” he said as he stripped out of his shirt.

“A fishing pole?” I asked confused.

“Yes, they fish on my tablet.”

“Bet, I’ll buy us a fishing pole, and we will go and catch us some fish. Is that cool with you?”

“Yep.”

I had a lake not too far from here that I could take him to.

It was for all the residents who lived in this community.

It was so funny to see their own personalities coming out.

Fishing was the last thing I thought my nephew would want to do.

He didn’t give the outdoors type. I made a note that weekly fishing would be on my things to do with him, so we could bond and have some boy talks.

I’m sure his ass was tired of being around his sister and auntie all day.

We got the kids in bed and were now sitting in the den.

Tatiyonna was running down names she wanted to call her studio.

All I could do was stare at her and admire her.

I could see her lips moving, but all I could take in was that she was finally mine.

From the first time I met her, she had me mesmerized.

As soon as she was divorced, I was going to marry her before the ink could dry on the divorce decree.

“Jah, did you hear me?”

“I heard everything you said, baby. I’m just looking at you and giving you my undivided attention. Is that cool?”

“You were undressing me with your eyes.”

“That’s what you call it. I call it adoration. Do you know how lucky I am to finally have you?”

“I’m just as lucky, Jah.”

“I can’t wait to marry you.”

“And I can’t wait to be your wife.”

“When this shit is over with, this is for you,” I said, opening the box.

“What the fuck!”

I wanted Tatiyonna to know how serious I was about her, so I went and bought her engagement ring. A nigga had to outdo what the last nigga done, and I figured I did a great job because she was sitting across from me with tears running down her face.

“I sized your finger when you were sleeping. You don’t have to wear it right now. I know you’re about to go through a nasty ass divorce. As soon as it’s over, we’re changing that last name. I know to you it may seem fast. To me, it’s the perfect time.”

“I’m still processing this damn ring.” She snatched the box from me.

“Look, give me my shit back. When the time is right, I’m going to get down on my knee and ask you to be my wife. I wanted you to know I’ll never play around with your heart. As my wife, you have access to all of me.”

“Same,” Tatiyonna said and held her hand up for our secret handshake.

“On another topic, Dream told me he wanted a fishing pole for his birthday. His ass is about to make me go buy a boat so we can go fishing.”

“Have you ever been fishing, Jah?”

“Nope, but I’ll learn for him.”

“That’s cute. You’re going to be a great dad.”

“I can’t wait. I remember the twins being born, and I would lay with them for hours, not moving. Everyone thought they were my kids.”

“I pray I can give you what you desire.”

“You will, baby. You will.”

A month had gone by since Kileen had caught me sticking my dick in his wife.

The paperwork had been filed, and I made it clear to my assistant that I didn’t want to do business with Kileen McGhee’s firm.

The bitch ass nigga was persistent and didn’t take no for an answer.

My new assistant was an older black woman who didn’t play any games.

When I heard her voice rising, I got up from my desk and went out to the front to see Kileen’s ass.

“Ms. Sabrina, let the nigga back,” I said before walking back and sitting behind my desk.

“I figured you would want to continue business. Don’t let my wife come in between the great work that we do. I got millions waiting on you.”

My hand was already on my stress ball. All I needed him to say was the wrong thing, and I was going dead in his shit. They were going to have to call the fucking armed forces to get me off his ass.

“Do I look like a man that gives a fuck about millions or a man who loves his woman more than any dollar amount?” I asked, looking him dead in his eyes.

“Plus, I don’t break bread with niggas I don’t fuck with.

And if your green ass doesn’t know what I mean by bread. In my thug language, that means money.”

He laughed and swiped at his nose. “Your woman?”

“Let me stop you before you get ahead of yourself. If you speak ill of Tatiyonna, I’ll put a hole in your muthafucka face right now. Now, go ahead and speak your mind. We’re grown men. I’m sure you have a few questions for me,” I told him as I placed my gun on the desk.

“How long have you been fucking my wife?”

“Now, we’re getting down to why you really wanted to see me. Let me pull up my calendar.”

I pulled my phone to fuck with him. Kileen wasn’t slick. He knew he didn’t have a leg to stand on with the divorce and was trying to put a timeline together to make it seem like she was cheating first. His ass was probably wired up.

“Shit, maybe two months. I’m not sure. It was recent, though,” I lied.

“So, you fuck women raw that you just met?”

“Shit, don’t you? Being that you’re the one with the baby here.”

He shifted in his seat and cleared his throat.

“I need you to talk to Tatiyonna and tell her to take Siya’s name out of the divorce. I don’t want her in our mess. She’s innocent in all of this.”

I pointed my finger at him, “See, how you’re protecting what you love?

I’m doing the same, so no, I won’t be telling Tatiyonna anything.

Siya was a part of the suffering she went through.

I mean, you got it, right? I’m sure by the time all of this is over, you’ll still be big dawg Kileen McGhee, right? ”

I loved seeing him clench his jaw. It let me know I was getting under his skin. What I really wanted was for him to move wrong so I could end him right here.

“You’re getting a kick out of this, but you have no idea what it is to be in love with two women, and only one can give you what you need.”

“Nigga, please. I don’t indulge in bullshit.

Just sit your weak ass over there and say Tatiyonna was the better look on your arm because she is an established woman.

But you would rather have the woman you can run over.

It’s okay to admit it, I won’t tell anyone.

Kileen, I’ve talked to you longer than I wanted to.

You got the woman you want, and I do too.

Now, as far as us doing business, we’re done.

I wish you the best in finding a concrete business within five hundred miles,” I said as I called for Ms. Sabrina to walk this nigga to the door.
