“Chill the fuck out!” He shouted, matching my energy.

“With yo crazy ass! Ion know if it’s the hormones or what, but you’re talking out the side of your fucking neck!

Cause you gotta be out of your mind, if you think that you going anywhere!

And as far as this street shit…I’m preparing that exit, as we speak.

It’s already in motion. As soon as the doctor said that you were having my twins, I knew that it was time.

So, what the fuck are you even talking about? ”

I wiped my nose, as I sniffed. “It’s in motion?” “Yeah, it’s in motion.”

“Oh.” Was all I could say. “Well…why didn’t you just say that?”

“Because. I didn’t wanna jinks it. I just wanted to come home, and drop the news on you, after it was already said and done.”

“Oh.”

“Yeah, oh,” he mimicked me. “Now, stop fucking playing with me.” He lightly poked my temple. “Talking about leaving a nigga. You crossed the fucking line.”

I sighed. “I’m sorry. Maybe I overreacted.” “Maybe?” He tilted his head.

I snickered. “Yes, maybe.”

Leaning an arm on the steering wheel, he turned to face me. “Well, I hope that I put your mind at ease,” his tone softened. “Cause Ion wanna do nothing to stress you or the babies.”

Hearing that, I nodded. “You love me?”

I nodded again.
