I took a deep breath. “I love you, Christian. I really do.” “And you aint gon never switch up?”
I licked my lips. “I’m never switching up.”
“Alright.” He nodded, as he readjusted himself in his seat. “That’s what I wanna hear.” He pulled away from the gas station. “And get on your phone to find us somewhere else to kick it at, after we have dinner.”
“But I thought that you had to go handle something?”
“Fuck that. I heard you. Loud and clear. Now, find something else for us to do.”
Smiling, I felt like a bratty ass baby who’d gotten her way. But oh, well. I was about to scroll through my phone, and see what type of chill shit was out there for us to do.
I was sitting in the car, staring at my phone, as it rang. It was Too Low’s cousin, which meant that he was probably on three-way. Face had been tripping about me accepting his collect calls, so I’d only do so whenever I was away from home. And right then, I was sitting in HEB’s parking lot.
