The palace had never seen such joy. For days, the Demon Realm buzzed with preparations for the grand wedding of The Lord of Demon Realm and The Moon Goddess, banners of silver and midnight blue draped every archway, lanterns brightened the night,

and musicians tuned flutes and zithers for a song that would echo through the worlds.

Invitations traveled on moonbeams and foxfire alike, summoning friends and allies from every corner of the eight realms.

Yue Lian stood in her chamber, a gown of shimmering pearl and starlight falling soft as mist across her body.

The White Fox Twins circled her, weaving tiny moonflowers into her hair and fussing over every detail.

Zheng Yu, dressed in his finest, peeked in with a grin.

"You look like the moon come to life, Lady Yue."

She blushed, her heart fluttering with anticipation and peace. In the garden below, Cang Yan waited, regal in ceremonial black and silver, with a sash of pale blue at his waist, a symbol of the moon's blessing. His eyes never left the path that she would soon walk.

As the sun set and the moons rose, one gold, one silver, the guests gathered in the palace's great courtyard. Demons in their finest robes mingled with celestial spirits, immortal musicians played ancient melodies, and the air shimmered with magic and hope.

Yue Lian walked down an aisle lined with moonlit blossoms, her steps light, her gaze fixed on Cang Yan. He reached out for her, and as their hands joined, the blue fire in his veins and the moonlight in hers twined together, casting a glow that lit every face.

The ceremony wove together the traditions of both their worlds. The high priestess of the Lunar Realm and the eldest demon elder shared blessings, invoking peace, compassion, and strength. Yue Lian and Cang Yan exchanged vows beneath an arch of silver and sapphire, their words soft but certain.

"With this cord," Cang Yan intoned, tying a braided thread of blue and silver around their wrists, "I bind my fate to yours, not as lord and goddess, but as partners in all things."

"With this light," Yue Lian replied, touching his cheek, "I promise to walk beside you, through shadow and storm, through joy and sorrow, as long as the moon rises and the fire burns."

When the vows were spoken, the moons shone brighter, and the assembled guests cheered. The twins and Zheng Yu led a wild dance, pulling in everyone, immortal, demon, beast, and human, until the courtyard rang with laughter.

In the quiet that followed, Cang Yan drew Yue Lian away to the highest balcony, where the world stretched beneath them. He kissed her, slow and reverent, as if memorizing the moment forever.

"We did it," he whispered, his forehead pressed to hers.

She smiled, tears of happiness gleaming in her eyes. "We chose this. Every step, every day, we choose each other."

Far below, the celebration continued, but in that moonlit hush, they were alone, two souls who had claimed both love and duty, and found themselves whole at last.
