Chapter 21

ARAVIND

He was gorgeous like this. Perfect like this. He was the fucking man of my dreams, sweating and drooling a little, begging wordlessly because his mouth was stuffed with purple lace, and his hands were above his head, forbidden from touching himself.

His hole was a leaky, sloppy mess from being eaten, then fucked, and now stretched wide with one of my favorite dildos. He’d been sobbing for release for the last ten minutes, and I was nearly at the edge of my ability to watch him suffer.

But he did suffer so fucking pretty for me.

“Tiago,” I murmured.

He shifted, thighs trembling with anticipation.

“I’m going to fuck you again. I’m gonna nail your fucking prostate, and you are not going to come, like my good boy, right?”

He let out another muffled sob.

“And if you can obey me, I’m going to pull out and shove my fingers in your ass and hold you open while I suck your orgasm right out of your dick. So can you do that? Can you be so good for me?”

He gave a frantic nod, and that was all I needed before pulling the dildo out and pressing my cock inside him. He was squeezing tight, but loose enough that I was able to slip right in, and I immediately took up the angle I needed to graze his prostate with every single thrust.

He lost his words almost immediately, his body lax and taking what I was giving him. His muffled grunts beyond the panties stuffed between his teeth were enough to send me right to the edge, and it wasn’t long before I felt the familiar heat crawling up my spine.

“I’m going to come. Give me your hand, my perfect, sweet, good boy.” He reached for me, and I pressed my lips to his palm before laying it over his cock. “Stroke yourself, but don’t orgasm.”

He let out a soft, begging mewl, but I wasn’t giving in. I knew he could do this for me.

“Come on. Let me see you,” I said with a soft grunt. My hips sped up, my skin slapping against his as I chased my climax.

His arm didn’t move at first, but after a single breath, he gripped himself and began to stroke. His cries were a fucking symphony, shoving me over the edge, and I lost all reason as I hammered into his ass, my balls going tight right before they shot my come deep inside him.

My thighs felt weak as I slowed down, and then I laid a hand on his wrist to stop him. I could tell he was far too close to keep going, and I didn’t want him to feel like he’d failed me, though that would never be possible.

Pushing his hand away from his dick, I gently pulled out, then dropped to my elbows and took his leaking cock past my lips.

It didn’t take long for him. I didn’t even get time to put my fingers in his ass.

A single swirl of my tongue and a hard suck, and he was shooting off.

His come landed in hot ropes against the back of my throat, and I swallowed it all down, licking him clean as he moaned and whimpered.

When I was satisfied—when he was still trembling but starting to settle—I reached down and pulled the condom off before lying directly on top of him. His weak arms came around me, and I urged him to roll over so I could curl my leg over his hip.

When he was breathing steadily through his nose, I pressed against his chin, then pulled the panties from his mouth. Working his jaw back and forth as I dropped them off the side of the bed, I reached up and massaged him right at the temples.

“I think,” he said, slightly breathless, “you might have killed me.”

I couldn’t help a small laugh as I leaned in to kiss him. He didn’t participate much other than to share his breath with me, but it didn’t matter. His lips were warm, dry, and pliant. I kissed him over his jaw, then over his cheeks, his closed eyelids, then down the other side of his face.

I lingered where his pulse was still hammering, though that was also starting to slow down, and I arched into him when he ran a hand up and down my spine.

“Are you alright?” I asked in a near whisper.

He curled his free hand around me. “Yes. That was a lot, but I think I needed it.”

I shuffled us around until his head was lying on my chest, his ear directly above my heart, and I pushed fingers into his hair. “You are so perfect. Do you know that?”

He huffed. “I think you might be biased.”

“Ask me if I give a fuck,” I said, and he laughed. “I’m serious. I don’t care if I’m biased. Tiago, you are maybe the best thing that’s ever happened to me. And I need you to know that I am going to work hard not to fuck this up.”

He lifted his head. His eyes were on my face, but I had no idea if he could see anything.

Then he reached up and traced a touch over my jaw.

“You’re not going to fuck anything up. Whatever we decide, we figure it out together.

And if you choose to take this job and I decide to stay with the Legends for another season, that doesn’t mean we lose each other. It just means we’ll work hard.”

“You’re such a fucking hockey captain,” I muttered.

His grin widened, and he pushed up suddenly, dragging me beneath him until he was hovering over my torso. He leaned in and nuzzled his nose against mine. “I will give you a pep talk every fucking day until you’re ready to believe in us.”

Warmth spread from my chest to the rest of my limbs. If I hadn’t spilled every ounce of come I had left in my body, I might have gotten hard again. I liked bossing him around, but I also liked when he took charge of the emotional parts. Those were where I felt weakest.

“You really think we could do that?” I asked. “Make it work even though we’d literally never see each other all year?”

“I think we can do anything,” he said. After a moment, he settled down against me and let his hand rest over my sternum. “I think if we want it enough—and I know I do—then it doesn’t matter where we are.”

Closing my eyes, I allowed myself to feel his words, almost like a physical touch.

They were so different from when Leon and I spoke about our future.

He was so insistent that I give up what I wanted to follow him because his job was more stable.

His was more important. I was the one who should twist myself around to fit his shapes.

And if I wasn’t willing, it meant that I didn’t love him enough.

It was hard to accept that he was the exception and Tiago was the rule. Or maybe it was neither. Maybe Tiago was just it for me.

“Can you carry a bit more of the faith for us while I figure myself out?” I asked.

He tilted my head toward him with a single finger and kissed me. “Yes. I can.”

Yes, I can. Just like that.

I still had no idea what the rest of our lives were meant to look like, but at least for now, the path forward was alight with hope.

In the morning, Tiago kissed me and then told me he was going to his appointment alone. “It’s going to be a long wait for no results,” he’d said as he sipped on the coffee I brewed. “And I think I’m going to stop by my parents’ after.”

I bristled. “Honey, do you really want to be around them alone?”

He took in a deep breath, then closed his eyes and nodded. “There are some things I wanted to say to them, and I feel braver now. But I want to do this on my own.”

“If you need me, even at the very last second,” I started.

He set his mug down on the counter and then held his hands out, sweeping me into a kiss the moment he had me in his grasp. “I know that. And I love you for it.”

I stood there, stunned for a moment, because I didn’t expect him to just say it like that. We’d tiptoed around our feelings, and he’d gently touched on the words, but to use them like they were solid?

Like he meant them?

Like there was no hesitation at all?

“Just for that?” I pressed.

He laughed and pinned me to the counter, his teeth going for my neck. “Do you want me to make a list of all the reasons?”

“Yes,” I said, gasping as he bit down. “I fucking love lists.”

“Then I will. But after, okay?” He pulled back and rubbed at his eyes, and I fought the urge to ask how his vision was doing. I told myself he’d tell me if something properly changed.

With a huff, I took his hand and kissed his wrist. “Fine.”

“I’d do it now, but I don’t think the radiologist will appreciate the huge boner making that list will give me.”

I bit my lip, then pulled back. “Wait here.”

Rushing into the room, I dove into the little bag I’d packed for us and came up with what I wanted him to have. A secret piece that would mean nothing to anyone else and everything to us.

Tiago was standing in the doorway, leaning on his walking cane with one hand, holding his folded white cane in the other.

“Come here,” I told him.

He took three steps, and then I had my arms around him, hand pushing into his pocket. “Don’t take that out while you’re in mixed company.”

“Aravind,” he said, his tone warning.

I kissed him quiet. “If you want a ride, call me. But if you take a car home, I’ll be at my dad’s, okay?”

He huffed and nodded before pressing his lips to my forehead. It was a soft, unthinking, tender thing. And I wasn’t sure any past lover had ever given me a kiss there. Not once. It was always on the mouth, always deep, always seeking more.

“I love you,” he whispered to me.

I hadn’t said it back at the table, and I struggled to get the words to form on my tongue now. I felt like a bastard. Was it cruel to know that I loved him and not say it back?

Tiago didn’t seem to expect a response though. He stepped back with a soft smile on his face and rolled his shoulders. “Alright. Wish me luck.”

“What kind of luck?” I asked.

He huffed a laugh. “I don’t know. I’ve been debating about whether or not I want the universe to decide my career for me or if I want the choice.”

“Then I wish you whatever your heart really wants,” I told him. I watched as he maneuvered around me and made his way to the door. When he opened it, I saw a sleek black SUV waiting for him, and my chest ached.
