The second I jumped up into Eli’s lifted truck and slid into the backseat, I knew I had made a mistake. A calculated, filthy, absolutely worth it kind of mistake. Eli’s truck smelled like his turnout gear and smoke, and the combination had me clenching my thighs before the door even shut.
