On Sunday morning I found myself lurking outside Ryan’s room, trying to pluck up the courage to knock and batting away the urge to press my ear to the door to see if I could hear him moving around. I didn’t think he’d been down for breakfast, but there was an empty mug by the sink I was at least eighty percent convinced hadn’t been there the night before.

Although since Ryan had definitely come home after Jonny and me, he could’ve made himself some late-night coffee. He did say caffeine helped him sleep.
