Chapter 115- Waves of Fear
“ If there's any question you'd like to ask me, do it now that I feel like I'll answer it," I said and Liam laughed.
I had told the driver to stop at the park so I could get fresh air before I returned to the hotel and Liam followed me.
“ You know that man,” he stated,
" Are you asking or telling me?” I asked as I turned to him,
" Well, it seems to me like you know each other,” he said and I nodded,
" That's not the question you want to ask, so what is it?” I asked,
" What relationship did you guys have?” He asked,
" He was my ex fiance, not like any of it was real,” I said and recognition crossed his eyes,
" Wait, he's that guy you told me about?” he asked and I nodded and I couldn't help but smile as a memory came to mind.
It was funny how I met Liam, I was at a depressed point in my life and then one day I just sat down with a complete stranger and told him everything that was bothering me and he quietly listened, he even allowed me to cry on his shoulder. And that's how we became friends.
“ You should have told me and maybe I would have talked to him in private," he said and I laughed, I know he wasn't going to talk, he was going to use fist and I didn't want that.
“ It's all in the past,” I said,
" Then why don't you want to give me a chance? Do you still love him? You know I won't break your heart or do anything to you like him,” he said as he took my hand and dropped a kiss.
" I know but I'm not ready,” I said,
" But it's been more than four years now, just forget about him and let's give us a chance,” he said and I sighed before I got up.
" I really don't want to talk about it, let's go,” I said before walking to the car and I heard him sigh as he followed me.
I got into the car and he entered too before the driver started the car and drove off.

I don't care about him, I really don't. He's a married man with a kid and I'll not let myself get drawn to him.
He broke my heart, he hurt me. Why would I want anything to do with him?
It doesn't matter that he got even more handsome than I remember.
No, Anna stop, that man caused you pain, if not for anything, think about Andrew. If he wasn't an asshole we would have been together and our child wouldn't be missing.
I picked my phone as I dialed Bella's number hopefully she was she still awake.
It rang several times before she finally picked up.
“ Hey, sorry I just put Angel to sleep, what's up?” she asked,
" I saw him, I saw Cole today,” I said as I climbed on the bed.
" The hell, you just got there and you're meeting him. What type of game is the universe playing?” she said,
“ I don't know, I've done the interview and should be back in about two days, but I don't know why I feel like I should stay a little longer," I said,
“ To conquer the city I guess," she said as I heard shuffling in the background.
" You must be getting ready for bed," I said,
“ Yeah, had a long day at the hospital today,"
“ Okay then, let's talk tomorrow when you're not tired. Say hi to your husband for me." I said,
“ I will, good night, I love you," she said,
“ I love you too, sweet dreams," I said before I ended the call.
I dropped the phone on the bedside table and laid down to get some much needed sleep but just as I was about covering myself with the blanket, my phone vibrated with a message.
What did she forget to tell me?
I took the phone and unlocked it as I opened the message.
Immediately I saw what was contained in the message, my breath caught in my throat as fear gripped me like never before. It was like the world started spinning and then the phone dropped from my hand.
