Chapter 129- The Lifeblood of Sacrifice

“ We had to flush her blood to take off the poison because it was just too much and taking off blood meant we had to give her more blood but the problem now is we're out of blood that matches hers,”

“ You can take mine!" The three of us said at the same time.

“ As long as it matches, it would be to her advantage if we can get a donation from all three of you," the doctor said.

" What are we waiting for? Let's go,” her assistant said in impatience as she followed the doctor first while I just leaned on the wall waiting.

" You can't blame me for something I didn't know. You can't imagine how I feel right now knowing that my son is the son the woman I love has been looking for for over four years, you don't know what I've been through so you don't have the right to judge me. You don't know what I had to endure for the past four years. I'm not telling you this for you to like me, I'm letting you know that you have to know someone's story before you conclude who they are.” I said.

He remained quiet and it wasn't like I expected him to say anything.

Her assistant walked out and Liam quickly followed.

“ Are you okay?" I asked her and she nodded before she went to sit down.

I patiently waited until it was my turn and then I walked into the room.

I caught a glimpse of Anna and I wanted to cry, she looked so pale and lifeless. There were so many machines connected to her body and they put her on oxygen.

I quickly removed my eyes as I sat down for them to check my blood.

Mirabel is going to stay in jail for a long time, not even her parents can save her, no matter the wealth they have. This time I was prepared for them. I'll use every last penny I have until I get justice.

Thankfully my blood matches hers as they took blood from me and then I walked out of the room.

She'll be fine, she just has to be fine if not for anything, for our son.

Three days and she was still unconscious with blood being given to her. I had to use my influence to make sure her blood type doesn't run out in the hospital.

Today I brought Sammy to visit.

I couldn't tell him she was his real mom yet, he wouldn't understand what was going on.

I reached her door and slowly opened it and her assistant turned to me.

“ Hey," she said with a smile as her eyes went to Sammy.

“ She'd be so happy," she said before walking out of the room.

I turned to Sammy who was looking at Anna with confusion and then he walked to her and tapped her hand.

“ Tag, you're it," he said and I couldn't help but raise a brow at him.

“ Daddy, why isn't she waking up?" he asked in worry.

" She's sick but she'll be fine,” I said,

" You want her to play tag with you?” I asked and he nodded with a pout.

" The other day, she played tag with me, I wanted to tell you but I forgot, I won,” he said as he turned to Anna. They've met?

" Will she really be fine, daddy? She looks really sick,” he asked,

" Yes, she'll be fine,” I said,

*******

I felt so weak when I opened my eyes as my eyes looked around. I was in the hospital and the smell of medicine attacked my nose. There was a television on the wall but it was turned off.

The white window blind was open so I could see outside and it was dark.

I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. I was alive, I'll see my son.

My eyes turned to my left to see someone's head resting beside me and on the other end was Cherry on the couch sleeping.

I was thirsty but I couldn't even move a muscle. It was just my luck that Liam stirred before he raised his head and his eyes met mine in shock.

“ You're awake," he said like he couldn't believe his eyes.

" Wa…wa…"

“ Water, I'll get it right away," he said as he ran to the bedside table and brought water for me. His movement woke Cherry and she quickly jumped out of bed as she ran to my side.

Liam used a stray as he gave me the water and I drank slowly. As soon as the water touched my throat I felt like my throat was a dry land that finally felt rain after a long time.

“ Take it slow please," Liam said as I kept drinking until I was satisfied then I pulled away.

He handed the cup to Cherry as he looked at me with worry.

“ I'll get the doctor," Cherry said as she walked out of the room.

“ You're doing okay," he said as he smiled at me and I smiled back.

“ Thank you," I whispered but he shook his head.

“ Don't stress yourself talking but... I'm....I'm not the one you should be thanking. Cole found you right on time or else I don't know what would have happened. As much as I don't like him, I'm grateful to him for this." Liam said,

Cole, Cole saved me?

Where is he now?
