Once we were done she thanked me then made her way to make breakfast for us both. I sat on top of the kitchen counter swinging my legs back and forth. 'So... you love me? And you miss me?' I say jokingly. I laughed once I saw her cringe. She turned to me and her face was bright red. 'Yes' is all she said taking me by suprise. She made her way in between my legs. 'I love you Elizabeth, I have for a long time. My biggest regret was letting you go. I want nothing more to start again with you'. I looked at her shocked. Thinking it was just a drunken confession. Maybe she had matured a little bit. 'I'm married Dylan' I spoke quietly. She just looked at me sadly. 'Do you love him? If you do I won't bother you, hell you can raise Ava together and I'll leave. But if you don't, what's stopping you? Me and you can raise her together and be a family'. I knew I didn't love Jackson anymore. Maybe I never did. I just needed a way to get over Dylan.
I jumped off the counter pacing back and forth. 'Okay maybe I don't love him, but I can't go back to how it was Dylan' she walked closer to me. 'It won't I promise you, you will be my first priority you and Ava. I won't lose my shit at you or anyone or do anything crazy' I couldn't believe I was hearing this. I never thought I would. 'You need to control your temper especially around Ava, and I need to be treated with respect not like one of your whores you pick up' Dylan nodded her head. 'I promise Elizabeth' she says sincerely. After that talk I drove back home. Dreading the talk I'll have to have with Jackson. Once I pulled up I waited in the car for a few minutes. I finally walked in and saw Jackson standing there looking pissed. 'Where the fuck have you been?' He shouted towards me.
'Im guessing by the silence you were with her' he says looking at me with disgust. I lowered my head feeling the guilt wash over me. 'Wow Lizzie after everything she's done? You go back to her. I've been here for you all this time. She's a psycho who treated you like shit and you go back to that?' I knew he was right but I loved Dylan. There's nothing he could say that was going to change that. After I didn't answer he quickly smashed his coffee mug against the wall. 'I'll get the divorce papers ready' he speaks to me with anger.
