Chapter 2 The Child Stays

Guo Meiyue straightened her back even more as voices rose in support around her.

I looked at Guo Meiyue and studied her face.

I leaned closer and said, "You're someone else's mistress and secretly gave birth to an illegitimate child. Does the legal wife know?"

Guo Meiyue looked up at me in shock.

She whispered, "How... how do you know!"

I looked at her coldly. "If you don't want to see your child die, take him and leave quickly."

As soon as I finished speaking.

The child struggled down and slammed heavily into me.

"I'll make you bully my mom, you stinking bitch! I hope you get hit by a car and die like my dad's wife!"

He punched and kicked me.

The other tourists were stunned. They had not expected a five- or six-year-old child to curse so viciously.

I grabbed him by the collar and lifted him up.

"Are you sure you want to keep such a brat here?"

I heard no more voices speaking up for them.

Everyone came out to have fun and enjoy themselves.

This child clearly had no proper upbringing and would probably cause trouble for the next few days.

Now they began to persuade the child's mother instead.

"Since the boss lady said she doesn't accept children, you should find another place!"

"The boss already said she'll refund the accommodation fee. Let's each take a step back. We came out to have fun and be happy."

"Besides, this place looks very remote and there are many mosquitoes. It's really not suitable for a small child."

Unexpectedly, there was a Monk among the tourists.

He stepped forward, clasped his hands toward Guo Meiyue, and said, "Amitabha. This place has heavy yin energy. It is indeed not suitable for children. Benefactor, you should go down the mountain as soon as possible."

I raised an eyebrow.

This Monk had some skill. He had sensed it correctly.

My inn sat at the intersection of yin and yang.

The energies mixed together.

Especially at night, the yin energy grew heavier.

But that was not the main reason I refused to let the child stay.

The main reason was that several great demons lived here.

One of them was named Qiu Gu.
