Chapter 15 The Apology

Hera, Agnes and I work over the next two days and write an apology to the Rage Wisp and we hope that it will be enough to cure Alpha Marcus, Luna Marcella, and Zion.

Alyin, Archer and I bind them with lightly silver coated restraints so they will not pull or try to escape, and bring them into the garden.

“Sit down please,” I say to them and speak directly to the Rage Wisp flickering around Marcus.

“Rage Wisp of the wild, I come to you with no malice in my heart, only a deep desire to soothe the embers of your frustration.

I hear the crackle of your fury, and I understand why the creation of the lycan people feels like an affront to your sacred, untamed domain.

The Moon Goddess shaped them out of whim and instinct, binding the eternal cycle of the night to roaring blood and shifting bone.

I can only imagine how jarring it must be for a shadowed, primordial force like yourself to share the dark hours with creatures who carry such heavy, earthbound burdens of territory, and pack.

Please, forgive the intrusion of their howls into your peaceful skies.

You are a pure, ancient shadow of the night, and their creation was never meant to diminish your timeless presence.

I hope you can find it within your fierce heart to grant us your grace.

Let us share the moonlit woods in peace, and may your presence never be dimmed by their shadows.”

The wisp stops circling Marcus and floats over to me.

I raise my hands to it and it floats over them.

It bows to me and piece by piece is turned to ash and floats away.

I see the others floating around Marcella and Zion dissipate as well and their eyes lose the red tint and return to normal.

“Please remove the binds, they are not a danger to us any longer,” I say and Aylin hesitates but does just that.

All three of them collapse to the floor and bow at my feet. “Luna Celest we are so sorry for everything we have done to you,” Marcella speaks. “We could not control our actions, and though that is not an excuse we hope that we can earn your trust and continue to build a stronger relationship.”

“I have suffered at all of your hands, and will not forgive you for those actions. However, I do look forward to working together in strengthening the trust between lycan and werewolf. I do have a pressing question though,” I say.

“Yes, anything Luna.” They all respond. I don’t know what comes over me but my body is glowing slightly and I feel as though I have become more powerful the last few days. I look at all of them and say, “You may call me Queen Celest, Queen of the Cosmos.”

They all look up to me, then bow again and say, “Yes, yes your majesty, Queen Celest.”

“I remember being told we lived in Vallmond, which I have since learned is Vampire territory, can you explain this please.” I stand before them powerful and slightly glowing.

“And please stand up.”

They all stand but keep their eyes deflected and Marcus speaks, “Celest, my father was very powerful and created a portal between lands. He placed it in the castle and placed the other right outside Pleiades in hopes that he could attack and defeat the lycan if they returned. When I kidnapped you,

I made sure that every time you left the castle you went through that portal, or I made sure you couldn’t see.”

He looked away ashamed. “I am again so very sorry Queen Celest.”

“Let’s just move forward from here. Please take some of my pack members and show them where the portal is.

It is a safety concern for everyone involved if someone chooses to use it inappropriately."

Alyin grabs my hand and I continue. “Please return to Bloodmoon and educate them on the lycan people, and that we mean them no harm. We just want to live in peace and all nations be harmonious. One day I hope we can use the portal for good,

but for now I would like to be notified if its use is needed.”

Three of our guards walk over and leave with Marcus, Marcella, and Zion. They escort them and they disappear into the forest.
