Chapter 12 Fishing
After Sheng Yan walked away, my senior poked me.
“You know him?”
“No, I don’t.”
“Weird. The way you two looked at each other just now seemed like you knew each other.”
My senior really lived up to her title.
No gossip escaped her eyes.
I wasn’t stupid enough to think Sheng Yan had really come just to inspect the sports day.
He kept his distance from the crowd and checked his phone repeatedly.
He probably hadn’t slept well last night either—there were faint dark circles under his eyes.
I took out my phone and typed a message.
[Gunmetal gray looks really good on you!]
Then I sent a screenshot showing I had saved all his photos properly in my album.
Sheng Yan sat in a row with the leaders, looking down at his phone.
From a distance, I saw the corner of his lips lift.
Tsk. So easy to hook.
Sheng Yan kept pretending to be cold and didn’t reply.
I slowly explained:
[I’ve been busy with my thesis lately. So tired. I worked until eleven last night and had to get up early to set up the venue.]
[My eating schedule is all over the place. My stomach even started hurting (crying).]
[I kind of miss you.]
…your body.
[Do you miss me?]
Sure enough.
The corner of someone’s mouth never dropped again.
Sheng Yan replied: [No.]
But soon after, I received a delivery call.
They said some stomach medicine and food had been ordered specifically for me.
After I ate my fill, it was time for the three-legged race I had signed up for.
Right before the event, I was told my original partner had food poisoning and couldn’t come.
The department had already arranged a new partner for me.
It was Sheng Yichuan.
