27. Mateo
CHAPTER 27
MATEO
Damn it.
For what seemed like the fortieth time this semester, I wanted to burn my Calculus book.
It had only been three weeks.
“ You should ask Zach for help. ”
“Easy for you to say, Jake.”
Now that Zach and I were together, I hadn’t heard as much from Jake but he was still around. And it was still weird.
For a few days, I considered dropping the class, but the deadline had long passed and I wasn’t going to earn a ‘W’ on my permanent transcript for withdrawing.
It didn’t help that the professor’s office hours were non-existent and the TA didn’t want to waste his energy on a jock. When I pointed out he needed to help any student asking for it, he made some comment about frat bros whining to their rich daddies and I didn’t stay to hear the rest. He wasn’t the type of person I wanted help from anyway.
“ Have I steered you wrong? I seem to recall that you enjoy sucking Zach’s dick? Who made that happen? ”
“Yeah, yeah. ”
The one person who could help me was the one person I didn’t want to ask…because when we did have time together, I wanted to be cuddling or milking another load out of his cock with my tongue.
We still hadn’t fucked, but he had stuck a menagerie of sex toys up there. I didn’t want to jinx it, but I thought he might be waiting for Valentine’s Day.
Because Zach was a romantic. Horny like me, but still a romantic.
And I didn’t want to fuck up our delightful existence with my struggles with secant lines and estimated derivatives. Maybe Evan could help?
Teo: Let’s work out.
And by help I meant distract me by working up a sweat.
Evan: What do you think I am?
Evan: Your emotional support workout buddy?
Evan: Ready to workout with you within seconds of a text?
Teo: Yes.
Two seconds later.
Evan: Meet you at the gym.
I smiled.
“What’s up your ass? I was about to take a nap.” I glanced up from my seat on the floor to find Evan smiling down at me. “Wait, scratch that. I don’t wanna know anything about your ass.”
“Aw, too bad.” I finished my stretch. “No glutes today then?”
Evan sighed. “We can work on your glutes if you want. I know how perfect you want it to look for Zach. Is that what has you so riled up? The upcoming loss of your final cherry?”
“Fuck, no. It’s Calculus.”
Evan extended his hand to help me off the floor. “Isn’t Zach super good at math? Why don’t you ask him?”
I shrugged. “It’s complicated.”
“Let me guess. You don’t want to ask him because you don’t want him to know that you’re not invincible?”
“Can we just start lifting?”
“Don’t change the subject! Are those new workout pants?”
This was going to be exactly what I needed.
Thirty minutes later and my head was clearer. Evan helped me to see that asking Zach for help would make our relationship stronger. As Evan pointed out so shrewdly, I’d want Zach to ask me for help if he needed it.
“Your ass is lighting up, bro.”
“Thanks.” I had been working on my glutes a lot lately. Hearing a compliment from Evan meant it was paying off.
“No, I mean there’s a light in between your…dude.” Evan leaned down and whispered. “Are you wearing a light-up buttplug?”
“Um.” I lowered the weight rack slowly until it came to rest, then tried to look at my hole. Impossible, of course. “I didn’t know it lit up. You can see it?”
“Yeah, right through your white pants. Kind of hard to miss it. It’s just”–he gestured–“right there.”
We were at the leg press and I had to laugh. “Zach didn’t tell me it lit up.”
“Jesus.”
I stood up and walked over to the mirrored wall and bent over to look.
“No shame.” Evan was pacing next to me.
“There it is,” I said.
“Of course, there it is. Did you think I would make it up? Stand up!” He grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled. “Someone’s going to see your twinkling asshole. Fuck, you need to get fucked!”
“So you’re gonna ask Zach for help?”
Evan was grilling me after we had showered.
“Yes, I promise.”
“And you owe me for today. A night of all the drinks I want to forget about your southern lights .”
While we were alone in the locker room showers, I removed the twinkling anal toy, washed it, and slipped it into my gym bag.
“I wish I could say that’s the strangest thing I’ve ever seen, but I can’t” was all Evan said at that moment.
“Do I want to know?” I asked.
“Get me drunk enough and maybe I’ll talk about it.”
I certainly wasn’t going to let that stop me. After we were mostly dressed, I asked, “What about your love life? You’ve seen…well, you know about mine. Any developments I need to know about?”
Evan sighed. “It’s complicated. I’m officially seeing two…people.”
People?
I tried to keep my voice indifferent. “People?”
“Don’t judge me. You’re the one with the Main Street Electrical Parade in your pants,” Evan said. “I’m experimenting, okay? It’s two guys.”
Holy shit!
“That’s cool with me, Evan. Obviously. Did you feel like you couldn’t tell me?”
“It’s not that. The guys…they’re friends.”
“Oh.” I tried to think of the next thing to say that wouldn’t sound judgy. “Like…our friends?”
“You know them.”
Whoa. “And they don’t know you’re seeing both of them?”
“Oh no. They know.”
“You kinky bastard. Here I am, wanting to get fucked by my boyfriend and you’ve got two guys!”
Evan finally broke a smile. “Yeah, it’s just a giant fuckfest over here.”
“Wait, so what’s the problem?”
Evan didn’t answer unless groans counted.
I pulled my hoodie on and grabbed my gloves out of my bag. “Well, let’s figure this out, dude. Come to the frat tonight. Hang out with us. We can order pizzas and eat chocolate until we pass out.”
Evan sighed. “I’m not trudging back to my dorm in below zero weather at two in the morning.”
“I’d like to point out that this wouldn’t be a problem if you lived at the frat.”
“There’s no way I would get any studying done if I lived there, especially not with what’s happened this year.”
I wasn’t ready to give up. “You can sleep over. I sleep with Zach anyway. My bed’s empty.”
I didn't have to wait long for an answer.
“Okay.” He pulled me in for a full hug; he gave the best hugs excluding Zach. “Sounds like a plan. You can help me untangle my thoughts and I’ll make sure you ask Zach for math help.”
“Wait, I didn’t mean- ”
“Oh no, the door’s closing, I can’t hear you.”
I grabbed my bag and chased Evan out of the locker room.
Evan hadn’t wasted any time and Zach wasn’t happy.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were struggling?”
“Evan saw my light-up butt plug.”
Zach closed the gap between us quickly and I flinched when he smacked my ass.
“Don’t try to distract me.” He kept his hand where it made contact, pulling me against his body. “How bad is it?”
With his other hand, he held my chin in place, so I was unable to avoid his stare. There was no point in lying anyway. He’d be able to tell.
“We’ve only had quizzes so far. The first exam is next week.”
“Good. That means there’s time.” He dropped both hands and moved to his desk, grabbing a pen and paper.
“We are not starting now.”
“I’m just making a plan.”
I should’ve known. Before I could try to argue, there was a knock on the door and Evan opened it.
“One of you guys Mateo Decker?”
It was the pizzas.
“Yeah, that’s me.” I stepped forward to take them. “Thanks.”
As the door closed, Evan asked, “What about the chocolate?”
I glanced over my shoulder, saw his crossed arms, and smiled. “We have plenty of that already.”
“Okay, if we start tomorrow, I think we can manage.” Zach was still at his desk.
“How could you possibly know that? How do you even know my syllabus?”
He gestured to his laptop. “It’s online. I got a five in AP Calc. You’re in good hands. ”
“Can you help me with psychology?” Evan asked.
“Uh uh.” I shoved at his chest. “He’s my smart boyfriend. All his brain power is reserved for me.
“I can help,” Zach said.
There was no point in acting mock-angry or even surprised. Zach was that kind of guy. The truth was he had helped me so much throughout high school that I probably wouldn’t have graduated when I did if not for him.
Which meant it was a fluke that I hadn’t needed any help last year.
I should’ve swallowed my pride and asked him though. I was worse off now than if I asked weeks ago.
“Don’t worry about it.” Zach patted my back. “I can see your temples flexing.” Wrapping his arm around my shoulders, he took a seat on the couch next to me.
“I’ll try,” I said, though I could hear my skepticism.
“Ignore the pizza for a few seconds and close your eyes.”
I did as he said.
“Now take a breath…and let it out.”
It still amazed me sometimes that he knew me so well.
“Another. Good.” He gave me a peck on the cheek. “Now you can relax.”
“See, that’s the kind of thing my guys do. Somehow they know me so well and it’s only been a few months.”
Zach cocked his head. “Did you say your guys?”
“Yeah.” Evan smiled, then laughed. “Kind of burnin’ the candle at both ends if you know what I mean.”
Later that week, Zach was still thinking about Evan and his situation.
“Have you ever thought about being with two guys at the same time? ”
I smiled in the dark. We had just jacked each other off and were heading towards sleep.
“A little bit,” I admitted. “I’m hoping for this one guy to fuck me first, then I can think about adding a second. Maybe Jake can help?”
“Shut up.” Zach punched my shoulder. “I shouldn’t have made you wait this long, but it feels…it feels like it should be special. That probably sounds weird.”
“I’m ready, Zach.”
“I know.”
I had to say it out loud. Even if he knew.
A part of me wondered if he knew a guy with a bad experience, or maybe there was something he hadn’t told me. Sure, we were best friends, but he didn’t even tell me he was gay until a few months ago. Maybe he was hesitant to fuck me because–
“You know you can tell me anything, right?” I said.
“Of course.”
I should’ve just been honest and asked him.
“Good night, Zach.”
“Night.”
Zach’s idea of helping me with studying included less sex. He said it pulled focus.
I disagreed.
Despite staring at numbers and graphs with curving lines, my dick was hard as a rock. I hadn’t cum for two days, waiting for Zach to give in and touch me.
But he hadn’t.
It was time for me to play dirty.
