Chapter 31

Sabastian

That was not how I expected Oakley to respond to standing in a corner. I figured he’d cry, because almost all littles did when they had to take a timeout. This boy currently kneeling at my feet wasn’t the first to shed a few tears or try to suck one a digit.

What was different was how defeated he seemed to be. So much so, he couldn’t hold himself together as he fought off sobs.

Heck, he didn’t even know he had only been standing in the corner for ten minutes, at most. I couldn’t take seeing him so torn up.

But that was a small fact the boy didn’t need to know about. If he knew I caved on the first punishment, since it physically hurt me to see him so upset, he’d learn to take advantage of that small fact.

“You did so well, little one.”

At my voice, he tried to push further into my leg, if it were even possible. He was basically wrapped around my leg, both arms holding onto me.

“Come here.”

He was nearly limp as I all but picked him up, settling atop my lap. Once he knew what I was doing, his body moved too quickly, wrapping both arms and legs around me in a tight grip.

I would forever be amazed at how well he could wrap his body around my own in such a tight grip. I knew Oakley was desperate for any kind of touch, and who wouldn’t be after what he’d been through. But when he got like this, it was so easy to give him the entire world.

I wasn’t entirely sure if Oakley was aware of how his body clung to mine, even as his breathing finally evened out. He kept sniffing and sucking away at the paci.

“You’re my good boy.” I ran my hands up and down his back, holding him to me. At my words, he shook his head briefly, causing his hair to tickle my chin. “You are so good, little one. You did very well standing in the corner. The punishment is over now.”

Oakley took a deep breath in, letting it out through his runny nose.

I would hold him for however long it took for him to calm down and come back to reality. I wasn’t all too certain on what type of mind frame he was in. I was leaning towards him being more Little than Big.

“Punishment’s all over now,” I whispered, pressing a kiss to the top of his head.

He mumbled something around his paci, making it sound like gibberish.

“Can’t hear you, little one. If you wanna talk, you gotta take out the paci so I can understand you.”

If it had been with any other little in my lap, I’d take the paci from his mouth, but he wasn’t normal. Oakley was one of kind, and with each passing day, I was growing more and more attached to the boy.

After a whimper, one that seemed to be drawn out, Oakley removed the pacifier from his mouth. Then, just above a whisper, he spoke. “No hurtsies?”

“I won’t hurt you, little one.”

“No….” he paused, taking a deep breath. “No pain?” He seemed like he was forcing his mind to be older, even though he defiantly didn’t want that.

“I promise, sweet boy. No pain. No spankings, or burns, or torture. Nothing bad. The corner time was all your punishment consisted of. Nothing else.”

Oakley was so used to being hurt, used to being in pain day and night, with no end in sight. Of course he’d question that when I didn’t dish out anything Donny had done to him. That was normal.

Normal to question what I will do. Normal to wonder and fear my responses.

“Sleepy.” He muttered before sticking the paci back into his mouth.

“Rest, little one. I’ll be right here holding you.”

He nodded, letting out a deep content sigh before relaxing even further in my hold.

Moving enough to put my legs on the table, glad I had changed my clothes when I went up to get the paci, Oakley whimpered.

“I’m not going anywhere, little one.” I didn’t care how many times I’d have to tell him that. It was true. I wasn’t going to go anywhere, ever.

I shouldn’t feel what I was starting to feel for this boy, but it was a bit too late now to change that.

Jerking awake as my phone blared with a ringtone, Oakley did the same thing in my hold. But he settled quickly, sucking on the paci and he clutched his legs around me.

“What?” I half barked, half groaned into the phone as I answered. At my tone, Oakley whimpered, holding himself still.

“Geeze, what crawled up your ass this afternoon?” My brother’s voice filtered through the small speaker.

“Whatta you want,” I yawned.

“Seeing if you were home, fucker.” He huffed out a breath.

“I was napping. Geeze. Yes, I’m home. Where else would I be on a nice Sunday afternoon?”

“When do you take naps? Don’t answer that…I’ll be there in about fifteen minutes.”

“Can’t wait.”

With that, I hung up, not surprised but also not pleased.

My cuddle time with a boy was going to be interrupted.

“Nathan is going to be by soon,” I pressed a kiss to the top of Oakley’s head. “But first, we need to talk.”

I could feel the dread fill his body as he stiffened.

“You aren’t in trouble, little one. Not at all. I just need to know what kind of mind frame you’re in right now.” Could he even tell me?

All I got was him borrowing into me once more, this time pressing his face into my neck.

“I think I got my answer.” I was leaning more towards him being little, which worked just fine.

I didn’t care either way, and Nathan knew me and my ways.

He wouldn’t care either, although I’d have more questions to answer.

But that could be for the best. Maybe this way, Oakley would get some sort of understanding on who I was, too.

I grunted, pushing myself to sit up a bit more, which was a bit more difficult than it would have been normally with a monkey attached to me. But I wasn’t going to make this boy move from my lap if that wasn’t what he wanted.

I wasn’t expecting Nathan to stay too long, but afterwards, I planned to find out exactly why Oakley was so drawn to those books. What made him want to read them so badly, he snuck them. And how the heck did he sneak them to begin with?
