Chapter 28

Next morning

Shivansh woke up to find Ruhanika still asleep. He wokeup and went to freshen up. He returned to find Ruhanika woken up and looking around.

As soon as Ruhanika spotted Shivansh coming out of the washroom, she spoke,"Shiv, aap? Kab uthe?"

Shivansh,"Thode der pehle."

Ruhanika,"Aur aapne naha bhi liye? Shiv, mujhe utha diya hota. Main aapki help kar deti. Aapko docter ne rest kaha hai aur aap sara kaam khud hi kar rahe hai. Aise kaise aap jaldi thik honge."

Shivansh,"Tumhe aaram ki zaroorat hai. Tum rest karo, main manage kar lunga."

And this was the last string of patience of Ruhanika that broke today.

Ruhanika stood up from the bed and went towards Shivansh's side of the bed where he had just sat.

Ruhanika, with tear filled eyes spoke,"Shiv, aapko ho kya gaya hai. Aap mere saath aisa bartav kyu kar rahe hai. Mujhe khud se dur kyu kar rahe hai aap. Agar mujhse koi galati hui hai toh mujhe bataiye na. Agar koi baat hai toh hum baat karke solve kar lete hai na. Aise kyun behave kar rahe hai aap jaise aapko mere hone na hone se farak hi nahi padta. Aapko meri zaroorat hi nahi hai. Aapne 6 din se mujhe Ruhh tak nahi kaha. Main aur aapka yeh bartav nahi seh sakti Shiv." At the end, tears were streaming down her face.

Shivansh pulled her into a hug but Ruhanika started pulling herself out, thrashing against his arm.

Shivansh, trying to steady her spoke,"Shhh....shaant ho jao...shhh..bas...!"

Ruhanika,"N-nahi, a-aap ja-jaane di j-jiye mujhe. Ch-chodiye." Ruhanika's cries only grew.

Shivansh tightened his hold around her and spoke her name, "Ruhhh..." as if uttering a prayer.

As if this was only what she needed, Ruhanika stopped thrashing and calmed a bit, still sobbing.

Shivansh,"Ruhh, tum pregnant ho. Is time pe mujhe tumhara dhyaan rakhna chahiye, care karni chahiye lekin main woh nahi kar pa raha. Upar se yeh bedrest aur paralysis ki wajah se tumhe mera dhyaan rakhna pad raha hai. Main nahi chahta ki tum zyada kam karo is time pe. Main bas tumhara boj kam kar raha hu. Main tumse dur nahi ja raha lekin.."

Ruhanika, her pain turning into anger spoke,"Lekin kya? Aap samajh nahi sakte, aap boj nahi hai Shiv. Main aapka dhyaan rakhti hu kyunki main aapse pyaar karti hu. Aur pregnancy nein bedrest thodi karna hota hai. Normal kaam toh karte hi hai na. Aa-aap hatiye yaha se. Mujhe baat nahi karni aapse."

With that, she freed herself from Shivansh's arm and started moving away when Shivansh held her wrist and pulled her, making her stand right in front of her. He wrapped his hand around her waist and kept his head on her stomach.

Both of them were still, no one spoke a word untill Ruhanika felt her t-shirt getting wet. She gently held Shivansh's face and turned his face towards her and wiped his tears.

Ruhanika,"Shiv....!!"

Shivansh,"Tum toh mujhse naraz mat ho. Maine pehle hi humare baby ko aur tumhe disappoint kar diya hai. Humare baby k Papa toh uske aane se pehle hi uska aur uski mumma ka dhyaan rakhne mein naakam hue hai. Tum, tum please aise chhod k mat jao. Please Ruhh, mujhe akela chhod k mat jao. Ammi bhi chali gayi. Papa bhi chale gaye. Tum mat jao na Ruhh please. Main bohot pyaar karta hu tumse. Please Ruhh, main tumse bohot pyaar karta hu."

Ruhanika who was gently stroking Shivansh's hair spoke,"Shiv, main kahi nahi jaa rahi. Kaha jaungi aapko chhod k? Aur humara baby aapse naraz nahi hai. Usse pata hai uske Papa usse bohot pyaar karte hai. Aur baby ko yeh bhi pata hai ki Papa Mumma se bohot pyaar karte hai. Hum naraz nahi hai Shiv, bus main us Shiv ko miss karti hu jo khul k mujhse pyaar karte the. Apne pyaar pe jo shaak nahi karte. Woh Shiv jinko apne pyaar pe pura bharosa tha. I Love You Shiv!"

Then, Ruhanika gently pulled herself out of his hold and sat beside Shivansh. She wiped his face off the tears and then lightly showered his face with the kisses. The forehead, the eyes, the cheeks, the nose and finally the lips.

After pulling apart, Shivansh spoke,"Sorry Ruhh. Mujhe dhyaan hi nahi hua ki main apne guilt mein tumhe ignore kar raha tha. I am really very sorry."

Ruhanika,"Tch, nahi chalega."

Shivansh,"Kya?"

Ruhanika,"Yeh sorry."

Shivansh,"Kyun?"

Ruhanika,"Icecream khilani padegi."

Shivansh,"Done, pakka."

Ruhanika,"Chaliye aap muh dho lijiye phir main bhi ready ho jaati hu."

Shivansh,"Thik hai. Tum naha lo main nashta room mein hi mangva leta hu."

After 30 minutes.

Both of them were sitting on the couch having breakfast.

Shivansh,"Ruhh, tumhare checkup k liye jaana hai na humein."

Ruhanika, while feeding him a bite, spoke,"Ha. Woh hospital mein jab doctor ne check kiya tha toh kaha tha ki sab thik hai par gynaecologist ko dikhana hai."

Shivansh,"Toh nashta karne k baad chalte hai. Raj aur Pari k gynaec se hi baat kar lenge."

Ruhanika,"Shiv, baad mein chalenge. Abhi aapko doctor ne zyada se zyada aaram karne ko kaha hai. Unhone toh bedrest kaha toh par aap toh..."

Shivansh,"Ruhh, main rest kar hi raha hu na. Aur pura din soye rehna mujhe pasand nahi hai. Aur hospital jaana important hai. Main aaram bhi kar lunga. Chinta mat karo. Hum hospital jaa rahe hai."

Ruhanika nodded her head and spoke,"Uske baad icecream."

After a couple of hours. At the icecream shop.

Shivansh and Ruhanika reached the icecream shop after the appointment.

Ruhanika,"Shiv, iske baad ek aur."

Shivansh,"Arey. Nahi baba, tum bimar pad gayi toh. Tum medicine bhi nahi le paogi phir."

Ruhanika,"Arey. Ha baba, main aaj tak kabhi bimaar hui hu icecream kha k? Nahi na. Aur waise bhi majority wins."

Shivansh,"Majority kaise?"

Ruhanika,"Arey, hum do jan hai aur aap ek. Toh hua na majority wins."

Shivansh,"Chalo thik hai. Par yeh cheating hai. Baby dono ka hai na."

Ruhanika,"Jo hai ab yehi hai."

After reaching home.

The whole family was sitting in the living room as it was already 7 so everyone had returned from their respective work.

As Ruhanika and Shivansh entered the living room, Aarav spoke up,"Bhai, Bhabhi aaiye na. Baithye."

Shivansh nodded.

Ruhanika,"Shiv, aapko aaram..."

Shivansh,"Ruhh, thodi der baithte hai na yahi."

Ruhanika nodded and helped Shivansh settle on a sofa.

Parinidhi,"Bhabhi, doctor ne kya kaha?"

Ruhanika,"Sab kuch thik hai."

Shivansh,"Ha ha. Aur toh Pari bas Anemia hai madam ko. Healthy khana khane ko kaha hai aur 1st trimester mein iron ki tablets nahi de sakte toh healthy khane se hi Iron increase karne ki koshish karni hai."

Ruhanika made a face to which Aarav asked,"Kya baat hai Bhabhi."

Ruhanika turned to Aarav who was sitting beside her and spoke,"Tumhe pata hai ab yeh mujhe palak, dry fruits wagera khilayenge. Mujhe nahi pasand palak."

Aarav wispered in her ear,"Bhabhi, cheese corn palak wali sandwich khayenge na hum."

Shivansh,"Aaravvvvv.... mujhe sunai de raha hai. Aur Ruhh, tumhe main tumhare manpasand cheeze bhi khane dunga, tumhari saari cravings satisfy karunga lekin jo main healthy cheeze kahunga woh bhi tumhe khani hogi."

After hearing Shivansh, Ruhanika and Aarav looked at each other and made a crying face.

After some time, all of them moved towards dining table to have dinner. Ruhanika served 1 plate and fed herself and Shivansh together.

In the room.

Shivansh was lying on the bed after freshening up and was waiting for Ruhanika.

Ruhanika came out of the bathroom and went towards her bag and brought an envelope out. Then she came and laid beside Shivansh.

Ruhanika pulled out her USG from the envelope and was adoring it.

Ruhanika,"Shiv, dekhiye na humara baby kitna cute hai."

Shivansh,"Ab woh tumpe gayi hai toh cute toh hogi hi na."

Ruhanika,"Hogi? Aapko kaise pata ki beti hogi?"

Shivansh,"Ab kaam mera hai toh result bhi mujhe pata hoga hi na." He winked at her at the last word.

Ruhanika,"Ishhh... Shiv, kuch bhi bolte hai. Aur waise bhi pehle beta hoga."

Shivansh,"Areyy....kyun bhai?"

Ruhanika,"Kyunki mujhe chotu sa Shiv dekhna hai mere pass."

Shivansh,"Mujhe bhi choti Ruhh dekhni hai."

Ruhanika while still adoring the USG spoke,"Ha toh uske liye aapko wait karna hoga kyunki pehle beta hi hoga."

When Ruhanika did not get any reply, she turned to Shivansh who was gazing at her lovingly. Ruhanika raised her eyebrows asking what.

Shivansh,"Tum bohot khoobsurat ho."

Ruhanika turned red at the compliment.

Ruhanika,"Achha Shiv, suniye na."

Shivansh,"Bolti raho Ruhh. Tumhe sunna achha hi lagta hai."

Ruhanika once again blushed and spoke,"Kya ho gaya hai aapko? Main keh rahi thi ki ek pinboard le aayenge aur har mahine hum Babu ka USG karvayenge na toh woh pin karenge board pe."

Shivansh,"Ha, woh toh tum keh rahi ho toh bilkul karenge par mere baby ka naam tumne Babu rakh diya."

Ruhanika smiled and caressed her tummy and spoke,"Mera Babu."

Shivansh,"Tum yeh mere baby k saath Babu Shona mat karna Ruhh main keh raha hu."

Ruhanika,"Mera baby kya ha? Hum dono ka hai. Aur main toh use Babu hi kahungi, aapko jo karna hai kariye." With that, she stood up from the bed and showed her tongue to Shivansh teasing him.

Ruhanika went to keep the USG in the closet and came back. Both of them slept in each other's embrace.

Next morning.

It was 10 in the morning and the two couples were sitting in the living room talking.

Rajveer had taken leave today as Parinidhi did not want him to go.

Then a maid came with a tray and kept two glasses of juice on the table.

Maid,"Yeh madam ne bhijwaya hai aap dono k liye mam."

Parinidhi,"Maa ne? Mere aur Bhabhi k liye?"

Maid nodded her head and left from there.

Just then, Mrs. Rajvansh came there with two bowls in her hand and kept them besides the glasses.

Mrs. Rajvansh,"Yeh juice pilo dono aur yeh dryfruits bhi khalo."

Parinidhi picked up the glass and started drinking it making faces while Ruhanika was looking at Shivansh.

Mrs. Rajvansh,"Ruhanika, tumhe iron ki kami hai isiliye yeh achha hai. Pilo, maine kuch nahi dala."

Parinidhi,"Achha nahi hai Maa. Ismein toh gajar aur beetroot ka juice hai."

Rajveer,"Healthy hai Idhi. Pilo. Koi bahana nahi."

Parinidhi started drinking making faces.

Mrs. Rajvansh turned to Ruhanika.

Ruhanika,"Nahi nahi aunty aisi koi baat nahi hai. Main pi lungi."

Shivansh,"Thank you. Ruhh k baare mein sochne k liye."

Mrs. Rajvansh,"Mujhe meri galati ka ehsaas hai. Sab kuch achanak badal nahi saktabpar main itna toh kar hi sakti hu. Aur main Parinidhi k liye jo kar rahi hu utna toh kar hi sakti hu Ruhanika k liye bhi."

Shivansh nodded.

Ruhanika,"Thank you Aunty."

Mrs. Rajvansh nodded and left, not before telling Rajveer to see that Parinidhi finishes everything.

Parinidhi had turned very choosy in food as it was her last trimester.
