Shivansh and Ruhanika decided to spent the day together at home.
Shivansh called his PA and informed him of his absence. He then called at the cafe as well informing both of their- his and Ruhanika's absence.
Ruhanika came after some time, with Kartik in her arms.
Shivansh,"Kartik?!."
Ruhanika,"Ji, woh main toh bas Pari ko puchne gayi thi ki use kuch chahiye toh nahi aur Laddu ko dekhne gayi thi par phir yeh mujhe chhod hi nahi raha tha, toh main thodi der le aayi taaki Pari aur Bhai thoda aaram karle. Isne kal raat Bhai aur Pari, dono ko sone hi nahi diya tha."
(Yeah, I went to ask Pari, if she needed anything and this Laddu clung to me not leaving me, so I brought him here so that Pari and Bhai can rest for sometime. He didnot let them sleep last night.)
Ruhanika,"Bohot masti karta hai mera Laddu, hai na?"
(My Laddu is very mischevious, no?)
Kartik giggled at her in response and flashed a toothless grin.
Shivansh,"Par hum saath mein din spend karne wale the." He passed a sulky look to Ruhanika.
(But we were supposed to spend the day together.)
Ruhanika,"Thodi der Shiv. Bas lunch tak."
(For sometime Shiv. Only till lunch.)
Shivansh,"Thik hai. Chale chote shaitaan?"
(Fine. Let's go little devil?)
Kartik immediately made grabby hands towards Shivansh, regret flashed across his face. He couldn't hold Kartik as he needed support on his bum as well as his neck.
Ruhanika observed his distress and spoke,"Laddu, Badi mumma ko abhi tak chhod nahi rahe the aur Bade Papa ne thoda bhav diya toh chale. Nahi, mere pass hi rehna hai ab. Chalo garden mein chalte hai. Chaliye na Shiv."
(Laddu, you were not leaving Badi mumma till now and now you want to go to Bade Papa. No, stay with me. Let's go to garden. Lets go Shiv.)
Shivansh nodded at her and slid his hand on her waist, and guided her to the garden supporting her.
Shivansh and Kartik settled on the grass while Ruhanika sat on the bench nearby. For the next 1 hour, Shivansh and Kartik played in the garden, and Ruhanika watched them play.
After that, Parinidhi came there along with Rajveer, who had taken leave for 1 month after Kartik's birth.
All of them spent time in the garden, talking and playing with Kartik.
Soon Kartik started crying.
Parinidhi,"Isko bhook lagi hogi. Main le jaati hu."
(He must be hungry. I will take him.)
Rajveer picked up Kartik and gave him to Parinidhi who went away with him to feed him.
Then Rajveer and Shivansh stood up and Rajveer went inside.
Shivansh sat beside Ruhanika, who immediately hugged his waist and kept her head on his shoulder. Shivansh wrapped his arm around her.
Ruhanika,"Shiv...."
Shivansh,"Kya baat hai Ruhh?"
(What is it Ruhh?)
Ruhanika,"Kuch nahi. Bas aapke pass rehna hai."
(Nothing. I just want to be near you.)
Both of them sat there for some time. No words were exchanged. Still they felt peace. This is what they want in their life. Just them together, being in each others company.
After some time, Ruhanika broke the silence.
Ruhanika,"Andar chale Shiv? Bhook lagi hai."
(Shall we go inside Shiv? I am hungry.)
Shivansh,"Chalo. Tum dono ko aaj main apne haatho se khilaunga."
(Lets go. Today I will feed you both with my hand.)
Ruhanika got excited and quickly stood up.
Ruhanika,"Sach?! Toh phir aap intezaar kis baat ka kar rahe hai? Chaliye.."
(Really?! Then what are you waiting for? Come....)
Shivansh chuckled at her excitement and stood up.
Both of them reached dining table. Ruhanika asked a maid to call everyone for lunch.
Soon everyone were set to have lunch.
Ruhanika served a single plate for both of them. Shivansh made a bite and offered it to Ruhanika.
Parinidhi,"Kya baat hai Bhai? Bhabhi aap thik hai?"
(What's wrong Bhai? Bhabhi are you ok?)
Ruhanika, having a bite in her mouth, nodded.
Rajveer,"Bhai, aap Bhabhi ko khila rahe hai?"
(Bhai, why are you feeding Bhabhi?)
Shivansh,"Ruhh ko pasand hai mere haatho se khana. Toh isiliye bas."
(Ruhh like to eat from my hand. So thats why.)
Parinidhi moved her hands around them and cracked her knuckled, taking evil eyes off them and spoke,"Hayeeee.....mere Bhaiya Bhabhi ko kisiki nazar na lage."
(Awww.....no evil eye should be cast on my Bhai Bhabhi.)
Ruhanika giggled at it and Shivansh smiled.
After lunch everyone left for their rooms.
Shivansh and Ruhanika walked towards their room. Ruhanika saw Shivansh lagging a bit. Having a bit difficulty in walking.
Ruhanika,"Kya baat hai Shiv? Aapka pair dukh raha hai kya?"
(Whats the matter Shiv? Do you have pain in your leg?)
Shivansh nodded and spoke,"Ha Ruhh. Pata nahi Garden mein the tab toh thik hi tha, phir abhi khana khate waqt laga jaise dukh raha ho."
(Yes Ruhh. It was fine when we were in the garden, but during lunch it felt like my leg is paining.)
Ruhanika nodded and both of them reached their room.
Ruhanika,"Aap baithye bed le, main aayi."
(You sit on the bed, I'll just come.)
Ruhanika went to the closet and brought a painrelief cream. She sat near Shivansh's leg and Shivansh who had closed his eyes, shot his eyes open.
Ruhanika,"Konse pair mein dard hai Shiv?"
(Which leg is paining Shiv?)
Shivansh,"Tum-tum rehne do yeh sab. Chhodo. Aur aao thode der so jao."
(You leave it. Leave. Come and sleep for a while.)
Ruhanika,"So jaungi. Pehle aap bataiye ki konsa pair dukh raha hai. Dono?"
(I will sleep. First you tell me, which keg us paining? Both?)
Shivansh,"Ruhh, nahi dukh raha, chhodo."
(Ruhh, its not paining. Leave it.)
Ruhanika,"Kyun?"
(Why?)
Shivansh,"Kyunki maine kaha."
(Because I said so.)
Ruhanika,"Shiv, aap bata dijiye varna..."
(Shiv, you tell me or else....)
Shivansh,"Nahi bataunga. Main nahi chahta ki tum mere pair dabao."
(I wont. I dont want you to massage my legs.)
Ruhanika,"Okay, aapne mere pair bola, yaani dono pair dukh rahe hai."
(Okay, you said legs, means your both legs are paining.)
Ruhanika held the end of his sweatpant and started rolling it. Shivansh firmly yet gently held her hand amd stopped her.
Shivansh,"Ruhh, bas."
(Ruhh, stop.)
Ruhanika,"Shiv, kya agar mere pair dukhte hai toh aap nahi lagate yeh cream. Nahi karte massage?"
(Shiv, when my legs are paining, then dont you do this?)
Shivansh,"Ofcourse karta hu. Yeh kaisa sawal hai?"
(Ofcouse I do. What is this question?)
Ruhanika,"Toh main bhi toh kar sakti hu na. Chhodiye mera haath, varna main aapse naraz ho jaaungi. Aapse kabhi baat nahi karungi."
(Then I can also do na. Leave my hand, or else I will be upset with you. I will never talk to you.)
Shivansh,"Tum aisa nahi kar sakti yaar. Patni ghar ki Lakshmi hoti hai, unse pair nahi dabva sakte."
(You cant do this. Wife are Goddess, they cant touch legs.)
Ruhanika,"Aur Pati Parmeshwar. Chodiye mera haath varna achha nahi hoga. Aapko meri kasam hai chhod dijiye."
(And husbands are God. Leave my hand or it wont be good. You have my swear, leave.)
Shivansh reluctantly let go of her hand.
Ruhanika carefully and skillfully started massaging his legs. Shivansh let out a sigh of relief feeling her hands moving with skills over his legs.
After 15 minutes,
Shivansh,"Ab thik ho jaayega Ruhh. Bas. Thank you. Aao ab aaram kar lo."
(Now it will be fine Ruhh. Thank you. Come now rest.)
Ruhanika,"Ji, main haath do k aati hu."
(Yeah. I will come after wasging my hands.)
Ruhanika came out after washing her hands and then climbed onto the bed besides Shivansh.
Both of them settled comfortably on the bed. Ruhanika snuggled her face into Shivansh's neck letting out a sigh. Shivansh gently ran his hand in her hair, patting her to sleep. Soon, both of them were drifted off to sleep.
After a couple of hours, Shivansh and Ruhanika woke up from their sleep.
After getting up from the bed, Shivansh asked a staff to bring juice for both of them.
Both of them settled in the balcony on the sofa with their juice.
Shivansh was casually sitting on the sofa when Ruhanika turned towards him and drapped her legs on his thighs, keeping her feet beside his thigh.
Ruhanika,"Shiv, aapse ek baat kahu?"
(Shiv, can I tell you something?)
Shivansh,"Ismein puchne ki kya baat hai Ruhh? Bolo."
(You dont need to ask. Speak.)
Ruhanika,"Shiv, aapne physio kyun band karvayi?"
(Shiv, why did you stop physio?)
Shivansh,"Kyunki koi improvement hi nahi hai Ruhh."
(Because there is no improvement Ruhh.)
Ruhanika,"Kisne kaha improvement nahi hai? Aapki fingers ko aap thoda thoda toh move kar paa rahe hai na?"
(What? There is no improvement? You can move your fingers little bit na?)
Shivansh,"Chaar mahine lage itne mein Ruhh. Aur waise bhi usse kuch nahi hota. Mujhe pata hai yeh kabhi thik nahi hoga. Nerve damage repair hona koi halki baat nahi hai."
(It took four months for this Ruhh. And anyways ut doesnt matter. I know this will never be okay. Nerve damage repair is not easy.)
Ruhanika,"Jab tak doctor nahi keh dete tab tak aap kaise decide kar sakte hai? Aur jab mujhe aap par bharosa hai toh aap mere bharose pe toh bharosa kijiye. Apne liye na sahi, mere liye try kijiye."
(How can you decide before doctor? And when I trust you, then please have faith in that trust. Not for yourself but try for me.)
Shivansh,"Tumpe toh pura bharosa hai. Par kya tumhe sach mein lagta hai ki main kabhi thik ho paunga?"
(I have full trust in you. But do you really think I will be okay someday?)
Ruhanika,"Mujhe pura yakeen hai aap zaroor thik honge. Aur bohot jaldi thik honge."
(I have full faith that you will be fine. And that too soon.)
Shivansh,"Thik hai. Tum doctor ko bula lena kal."
(Okay. You call the doctor tomorrow.
Ruhanika,"Done. I Love You Shiv."
Shivansh,"I Love You Ruhh and baby Ruhh too."
Ruhanika,"Baby Shiv hua toh?"
(What if he is a baby Shiv?)
Shivansh,"Toh Baby Ruhh k liye try karte rahenge."
(Then we have to try for Baby Ruhh.)
Ruhanika, her cheeks warming up, smacked his arm and spoke,"Kitne besharam hai aap.!!!"
(You are so shameless..!!)
1 Month Later.
Ruhanika has entered 6th month of pregnancy and the baby bump is now quite visible. Shivansh has resumed his physio.
Ruhanika was taking rest in her room where Aarohi, Parinidhi and Kartik were keeping her company.
Parinidhi, Ruhanika and Aarohi were talking among themselves and Kartik was lying in the middle of bed.
Suddenly, Ruhanika felt a sharp pain in her tummy.
"Ahhh"
Parinidhi,"Kya hua Bhabhi?"
(What happened Bhabhi?)
Ruhanika,"I th-think B-babu ne la-laat mari."
(I think baby kicked.)
Parinidhi kept her hand on Ruhanika's tummy when she again felt a kick.
"Ouu."
Parinidhi,"Ha Bhabhi. Kya pehli baar?"
(Yeah Bhabhi. First time?)
Ruhanika nodded her head.
Aarohi, never the one to be left out also kept her hand on the baby bump to feel the kick.
Aarohi,"Bhabhi, baby toh bohot laat maar raha hai."
(Bhabhi, baby is kicking so much.)
Ruhanika nodded her head while laughing.
After some time, they left the room to give Ruhanika a proper sleep.
In the evening, when Shivansh returned from the office, he found Ruhanika sitting on the bed and watching a Barbie movie while having cheese popcorn and chocolate milkshake.
Not disturbing her, Shivansh went to freshen up. Soon, he came and plopped on the bed beside her.
Shivansh,"Kya kiya tum dono ne aaj Ruhh?"
(What did you both do today?)
Ruhanika,"Shiv, aapko pata hai, babu ne aaj kick kiya."
(Shiv, you know, baby kicked today.)
Shivansh, sat up straight hearing her and spoke,"Kyaa? Sach?"
(What? Really?)
Ruhanika hurriedly nodded her head, and then, she felt it again. The kick.
Ruhanika gently held Shivansh's paralysed hand and helped him place it on her tummy.
Both of them knew that this was another one of their achievement that they had together. A symbol of their unwavering love.
Ruhanika could have kept Shivansh's fine hand but she felt that this would be more meaningful.
As soon as Shivansh's hand was placed on her bump, the baby kicked again.
Shivansh,"Ruhh, yeh, yeh....humara baby."
(Ruhh, this, this....our baby.)
Ruhanika nodded her head at smiling. Then she gently removed her hand from above Shivansh's hand. Then Shivansh tried to move his hand on her tummy to feel their baby in which he was successful. Shivansh, without any support, moved his paralysed hand on Ruhanika's tummy, and as if the baby knew of his father's achievement kicked again, rewarding his father for the achievement.
Shivansh,"Ruhh, mera haath, kya sach mein.."
(Ruhh, my hand, it really...)
Ruhanika cupped his cheeks and spoke,"Ji Shiv. Ab aap bohot jaldi thik ho jaayenge."
(Yes Shiv. Now you will be fine really soon.)
Shivansh,"Ha Ruhh, tum dekhna ab main movements karta rahunga aur jaldi thik ho jaunga."
(Yes Ruhh, I will keep doing movements and will be fine soon.)
Both of them then went downstairs for dinner. Shivansh tried using his left hand, in which he was kind of successful. He could pick up a piece of cucumber.
Rajveer,"Bhai, aapka haath? Thik ho gaya?"
(Bhai, your hand? It's fine?)
Aarav,"Bhai yeh toh chamatkar hai."
(Bhai, that's miracle.)
Shivansh,"Ha thodi movement hui hai. Roz try karunga toh jaldi thik ho jaunga."
(Yes, there is some movement. I will try daily then I will be fine soon.)
Shivansh, next day told everything o the doctor who said it was a huge step towards recovery.
After 1 month.
Ruhanika is now in her 7th month of pregnancy and has stopped going to cafe.
Shivansh's hand is perfectly fine now. Movements same as before accident.
A random sunday after noon.
Ruhanika was watching reels on her phone amd Shivansh was doing some work on his laptop.
After sometime, Ruhanika stood up and was going towards the dressing table when Shivansh caled her.
Shivansh,"Ruhh, kaha jaa rahi ho? Kuch chahiye?"
(Ruhh, where are you going? You want something?)
Ruhanika,"Ji mujhe nail polish lagani hai."
(Yes, I want to apply nail polish.)
Shivansh nodded and went to her and got the nail paints.
Shivansh,"Lao main laga deta hu."
(Come, I will apply.)
Ruhanika,"Aap?"
(You?)
Shivansh,"Haa. Humein bhi toh apni biwi ko khush karne ka mauka milna chahiye na. Aur tum pairon mein kaise lagaogi?"
(Yes. I should also get chance to keep my wife happy na. And how will you apply on toes.)
Ruhanika nodded her head and settled on the bed. Shivansh, with full concentration started painting Ruhanika's nails.
Ruhanika,"Shiv, iske baad hum bahar jaaye.?"
(Shiv, can we go out after this?)
Shivansh,"Bilkul Ruhh. Kya socha hai?"
(Sure Ruhh. What have you thought.)
Ruhanika,"Hum shopping karne jaayenge phir dinner aur phir icecream."
(We will go for shopping then dinner and then ice cream.)
Shivansh,"Ruhh, dinner aur icecream thik hai par Shopping. Tum thak jaogi. Online kardo, ye mujhe kehdo main kar lunga."
(Ruhh, dinner and ice cream is okay but shopping. You will be tired. Shop online no?)
Ruhanika,"Nahiiiiiiii" She whined cutely and spoke further,"Chaliye na please..."
(Nooooooo....Let's go na pleaseeee.)
Shivansh,"Thik hai. Aur yeh bhi ho gaya. Kaisa hai?"
(Okay. And this is also done. How is it?)
Ruhanika,"Perfect, bilkul aapke jaisa."
(Perfect. Just like you.)
Shivansh,"Ruhh, tum bhi na. Pagal ho ekdum."
(Ruhh, you are crazy.)
Ruhanika,"Aapke Pyaar mein Shiv."
(In your love Shiv.)
Shivansh, trying to control his blush. His lips curling into a brightest smile spoke.
Shivansh,"Chalo, jaana hai na. Tumhe ready kar du."
(Come, we have to go na. I'll get you ready.)
Both of them went to the closet, with Shivansh helping Ruhanika get ready and Ruhanika chatting animatedly.
After some time, both of them came out, dressed to go to the mall.
Ruhanika was dressed in a light red long ankle length dress, giving her comfort. She paired it with small studs and comfortable shoes. Her mangalsutra shining brightly in her neck.
Shivansh opted for a baby pink shirt and blue jeans, with sports shoes. His left hand had his watch and right hand was adorned with a bracelet Ruhanika gave him on his b'day which he never took off, claiming it as sign of their marriage and togetherness.
